Introduction
The Sony Ericsson P910 is based on the P900 Smartphone. This means that to a large extent they have the same
features, but some important differences exist both in hardware and software.
There are four basic models in the P910i series:
• Standard P910i (Europe, Middle East and Africa)
• P910i Chinese (Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore)
• P910a (850 MHz version for North and Latin America)
• P910c (People’s Republic of China)
For an overview of the different models, refer to the P910 Series White paper.
Software
P910 contains the following additional software features:
• New Viewer software for MS Word complete with editing functionality
• New Viewer software for Excel complete with editing functionality
• New Viewer software for PDF
• New image formats
• New Themes
User Interface
Larger application launcher icons in flip closed.
Email Improvements
Improved IMAP4 handling
Improved IMAP4 handling gives support for read/unread status.
Remote folders
For IMAP4 type accounts you can subscribe to remote folders that are located on the server.
Local email folders
To improve the organization of your folders you can create more folders locally on your smartphone. All you have to
do is to select Edit folders from the folder menu and then select Add. Folders created this way are only visible in the
Messages application. Messages cannot be created on the Memory Stick.
This feature gives you the possibility of being able to download only recent messages and to select how many of
the recent messages to download.
HTML messages in plain text
Support for view of HTML text in messages.
