Remove the battery cover
by pressing on the triangle
mark on the battery cover
and move the battery
cover in the arrow
direction.
Take out the battery.
Check that the memory
stick is removed.
Check that the SIM-card is
removed

Remove the flip bezel by
carefully lifting the lower
part of the cover until the
hooks come loose.
Be careful not to damage
the Stylus and Bezel.

If it is hard to loose you
can use the stylus. There is
a notch in the bezel.
Remove the two screws at
the arrows
Remove the flip by gently
loose the hook with the
opening tool NTZ 112
203/2 and then lift the
whole flip up.
Screws are not to be
reused.
Be careful not to damage
or pollute the flex-film and
its contact surfaces.

Remove the screws at the
arrows.
To remove the upper two
screws, first you have to
remove the rubber plugs,
use a dentist hook.
Be careful not to scratch
the frame with the dentist
hook. The rubber plugs is
not to be reused.

To remove the front you
have to loose the latches
on the front inside located
at the arrows in Fig 1.9
Be careful not to loosen the
silver coloured side parts
of the front.

Start in the gap between
front and frame beside the
system connector as the
Fig 1.10 shows. Use the
opening tool NTZ 112
203/2. Then, if necessary,
go on doing the same at
the other side.
Lift the front gently
upwards and remove it.
Lift the display up as the

the shielding can.

the flex film connected to

Lift up the PCB from the
frame, by gently bend
apart the frame sides as fig
1.14 shows. If necessary
push gently on the SIM
contact on the other side.
The jog dial flex film is
connected with the board,
if necessary gently loose it
with a blunt pair of
tweezers.
The PCB is a little bit
tricky to loose because of
the antenna connector in
the right corner and the
upper hooks at the arrows.
Remove the display
connector from the board
with a pair of tweezers.
Be careful when loosing
the PCB from the frame. It
works but it is a little bit
tricky.
It is a risk damaging the
antenna connector in the
right corner if you do not
act carefully.

Remove the Camera
grommet with a pair of
tweezers.
The Camera grommet can
follow the PCB when
lifting it up , then this
operation will be
unnecessary.

Make sure there is no dust
and small particles left in the
frame cavity.
Place the Jog dial flex film in
the proper position there is a
guide pin in the frame and a
hole in the flex film at the
arrow. Fig 2.1.1
Mount the Camera grommet
according to the Fig 2.1.2
Note the guiding pins in the
circles.
The contact on the flex
film must be in the proper
position to make it possible
to fit into the contact at the
PCB.
The camera grommet must
be in the correct position to
make it possible to fit the
PCB in proper position.

Mount the LCD cushions 1
and 2 according to the fig

Mount the LCD contact at the
PCB with your fingers. Fig

The LCD shall be turned to

Put the PCB in the frame.
Start at the upper end and
gently press it down until it is
in proper position.

Lift the LCD up and press
gently as Fig 2.4 shows to
make sure the Jog dial
connector is in contact with
the PCB

Lift up the LCD and mount
the shielding can over the
PCB with the two (1,4 x 4)
screws at the arrows Torque
set to 7 Ncm +/- 2.
Be careful not to damage
the antenna connector in
the upper right corner.
Be careful with the flex
film between the LCD and
PCB.

Put the LCD back over the
PCB.
Take the front and place it
over the frame. Start at the
upper end as the Fig 2.6
shows.
Press along the sides until it
fits properly.

Turn the phone around and
mount the four (1,7 x 14,5)
screws.
Torque set to 24 Ncm +/-2.
