Overview

This unit is a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver for calculating your current geographic location.
This unit’s features the following:
• When you connect this unit to a personal computer with the Bluetooth connection, the present position is displayed on the map of the “Street & Trips” software which is preinstalled on the personal computer.
• If you use the “VAIO Camera Capture Utility” software* which is preinstalled to the personal computer, you can mark the location on the still image. Furthermore, you can display the still image to be marked on the shooting area using the “Street & Trips” software.

What is Bluetooth technology?
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range wireless technology that enables wireless data communication between digital devices, such as a personal computer. For details, see the manuals provided with your personal computer.

Location

1 GPS status indicator
Lights up green depending on status.
Lights up: While receiving the
positioning data Flashing: While measuring Off: GPS functionality is not
activated.
2 Battery status indicator
Lights up red depending on status.
Lights up: While charging the battery.
When charging completes,
this indicator goes off. Flashing: Low battery (Remaining
battery is not enough.)
Charge the battery of the
unit (page 8).
3 Bluetooth status indicator
Lights up blue depending on status.
Lights up: Standby Flashing: While communicating Off: The power of the unit is
turned off.

4 Power switch
Tu r ns the unit on or off.
5 RESET switch
Deletes all recorded information and returns to the default setting. When you press the RESET switch, use a toothpick, etc. If you use a needle or press it strongly, damage may result.
6 DC IN (!) connector
Connects the AC adapter for charging the battery.

To use the strap belt

You can attach the unit the following illustration as below.
Clasp
Attach the unit to the belt loop of the bag as follows.
1 Remove the clasp from the strap belt.

2 Attach the unit to the strap belt with touch fastening tape.
3 Put the belt strap with button face up through the belt loop
(1) and fasten the button (2).
