A: SVT-5000 is not capable of reading normal vhs tapes, but normally vhs video cassette recorders can play tapes made on svt 5000 with 2 hour setting. SVT-5000 is reliant on a different recording analog.

A: The device has automated functionalities where the user can adjust the timer in case they want to make daily or weekly recordings, without any manual interference.
