The Sony SRS-D4K is a 3D speaker system composed of a woofer unit equipped with an amplifier (SRS-D4) and full range speakers (SRS-004). The system can be connected to a
Discman, Walkman*, a CD player, cassette-deck or video deck, TV, etc., and provide the natural and powerful sound output; 20 watts of bass sound, 5 watts + 5 watts of full range sound, and 30 watts total. (Peak music power outputs of 34 watts of bass sound, 8 watts 8 watts of full range, 50 watts total).

The SRS-^ amplifier/Woofer

•You can select the input signal from two audio equipment with
one-touch operation.
•You can adjust the bass level and the overall sound level.
•The magnetically shielded unit has little effect on a TV screen
or recorded te^ies, etc., even when it is placed near the units.
The SRS-004 compact full-range speakers
•The full-range speakers are light, compact and magnetically
shielded. You can hang them on the wall.
•You can also use the SRS-004 as additional speakers for TV.

Precautions

On operating voltage

Operate the unit only on 120V AC, 60Hz.

On safety

•The nameplate indicating operating voltage, power
consumption, etc. is located on the rear exterior.
•Unplug the unit from the wall outlet when it is not to be used for an extended period of time. To disconnect the cord, pull it out by grasping the plug. Never pull it out by the cord.
•Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit, disconnect
the AC power cord, and have the unit checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.

On installation

•Do not leave the unit in a location near heat sources,
moisture, rain or mechanical shock.
•Although this speaker system is magnetically shielded, do not
leave recorded tapes, watches, personal cr^it cards or floppy disks using magnetic coding in front of the unit for an extended period for precaution.
•If the unit should cause the TV screen to have poor color,
place the unit at a distance away from the TV.

On cleaning the cabinet

Clean the cabinet with a soft doth slightly moistened with watei or mild detergent solution. Do not use alcohol, benzine or thinner as they may mar the finish.
If you have any question or problem concerning your unit that is not covered in this manual, please consult the nearest Sony dealer.

Be certain that the POWER switch is set to STANDBY (POWER lamp is off).

•You can connect two kinds of audio equipment to the INPUT 1 and INPUT 2 jacks of the woofer/amplifier simultaneously.
To select the audio equipment, press the INPUT SELECT switch on the front panel.
