Wearing the headphones

You can wear the headphones either “ear-hanger” style (stay securely on the ears, even if the cord is pulled), or as more readily worn, standard earphones, as preferred. Wear the earpiece marked R in your right ear and the one marked L in your left ear.

Ear-hanger style (see fig. A)

Two types of hangers, size L, size M and size S, are supplied. Select the ones that fit your ears best, and attach to the earpieces. The following explanation is for the earpiece marked L.

1 Insert the ear-hanger in the headphones’ cord exit point, aligning the cord with the

hanger’s cord trough.

2 Press the cord in and along the entire length of the trough.

Note

Only partial insertion of the cord may cause the hanger to pull out easily.

3 Place the hanger over and around the back of the ear. 4 Adjust the earpiece for a comfortable fit.

Earphone style (see fig. B)

The following explanation is for the earpiece marked L.

1 Remove the cord from the hanger’s cord trough.

Pull it out from the end of the hanger.

2 Detach the hanger from the earpiece. 3 Wear the earpiece on your left ear.

How to use the clip (see fig. C)

1 Hold the clip closed, and pull up the lever on the clip just a little. 2 Put the cord into the groove under the lever.

Notes

• If you pull up the lever on the clip without holding the clip closed, or holding the clip closed but opening the lever too much, you cannot put the cord into the groove under the lever.

• Do not catch the cord on the projection of the clip or do not wedge it into the groove. It may damage the wires of the cord.

How to use the carrying case (see fig. D)

1 Place the headphones in the inner case. 2 Wind the cord around the side of the inner case and then put the inner case in the carrying

case.

How to install the earbuds correctly (see fig. E)

If the earbuds do not fit your ears correctly, low-bass sound may not be heard. To enjoy better sound quality, change the earbuds to another size, or adjust the earbuds position to sit on your ears comfortably and fit your ears snugly. The M size earbuds are attached to the headphones before shipment. If you feel the M size earbuds do not suit your ears, replace them with the supplied S or L size earbuds. When you change the earbuds, install them firmly on the headphones to prevent the earbud from detaching and remaining in your ear.

Cleaning the earbuds

Remove the earbuds from the headphones, and wash them with a mild detergent solution.

Precautions

• Please keep your headphones clean at all times especially inside the rubber earbud (see fig. F).

If any dust or ear wax inside the earbud, you may experience some listening difficulties.

• Listening with headphones at high volume may affect your hearing. For traffic safety, do not use while driving or cycling.

• Do not put weight or pressure on the headphones as it may cause the headphones to deform during long storage.

•The earbuds may deteriorate due to long-term storage or use.

• Install the earbuds firmly onto the headphones. If an earbud accidentally detaches and is left in your ear, it may cause injury.

There is EP-EX1 available (sold separately) as an optional replacement earbuds.

Colocación de los auriculares

Es posible colocar los auriculares con el “gancho para oreja” (el auricular permanecerá asegurado en la oreja, incluso si se tira del cable), o también más fácilmente del modo convencional como los auriculares estándar, según se prefiera. Póngase el auricular con la marca R en la oreja derecha y el auricular con la marca L en la izquierda.

Estilo gancho para oreja (consulte la fig. A)

Se suministran dos tipos de ganchos de tamaño L, M y S. Seleccione los que mejor se ajusten a sus orejas y colóquelos en los auriculares. La siguiente explicación corresponde al auricular marcado con una L.

1 Introduzca el gancho para oreja en el punto de salida del cable de los auriculares,

alineando el cable con el compartimiento pertinente del gancho.

2 Presione y fije el cable a lo largo de todo el compartimiento.

Nota

La inserción parcial del cable puede causar que el gancho se salga fácilmente.

3 Coloque el gancho alrededor de la parte posterior de la oreja. 4 Ajuste el auricular a su gusto.

Estilo auricular (consulte la fig. B)

La siguiente explicación corresponde al auricular marcado con una L.

1 Extraiga el cable del compartimiento pertinente del gancho.

Sáquelo del extremo del gancho.

2 Separe el gancho del auricular. 3 Póngase el auricular en la oreja izquierda.

Utilización de la pinza (consulte la fig. C)

1 Mantenga la pinza cerrada y tire del gancho de la pinza un poco hacia arriba. 2 Coloque el cable en la ranura situada debajo del gancho.

Notas

• Si tira hacia arriba del gancho de la pinza sin mantener la pinza cerrada o si mantiene la pinza cerrada pero abre el gancho demasiado, no podrá colocar el cable en la ranura situada debajo del gancho.

• No enganche el cable en la protuberancia de la pinza ni lo meta a presión en la ranura, ya que, de lo contrario, podría dañar los hilos del cable.

Utilización de la funda de transporte (consulte la fig. D)

1 Coloque los auriculares en el estuche interno. 2 Enrolle el cable alrededor del lateral del estuche interno y, a continuación, introduzca el

estuche interno dentro del funda de transporte.

Instalación correcta de los adaptadores (consulte la fig. E)

Si los adaptadores no se ajustan a los oídos correctamente, es posible que no pueda oír los sonidos graves. A fin de escuchar un sonido de mejor calidad, cambie los adaptadores por unos de otra talla o ajuste su posición para que le resulten cómodos y se adapten perfectamente a los oídos. Las almohadillas que se sirven de fábrica son de tamaño M. Si este tamaño no es el adecuado para usted, sustitúyalas por las de tamaño S o L suministradas. Cuando cambie los adaptadores, colóquelos firmemente en los auriculares para evitar que se suelten y se le queden en los oídos.

Limpieza de los adaptadores

Extraiga los adaptadores de los auriculares y límpielos con una solución de detergente neutro.

Precauciones

• Mantenga los auriculares limpios en todo momento, en especial la parte interior del adaptador de

goma (consulte la fig. F). Si se acumula polvo o cerumen en el auricular, es posible que experimente problemas de audición.

• Si utiliza los auriculares a un volumen alto, puede dañar sus oídos. Por razones de seguridad, no los utilice mientras conduzca o vaya en bicicleta.

• No someta los auriculares a peso o presión, ya que se pueden deformar en períodos de almacenamiento prolongado en estas condiciones.

• Los adaptadores pueden deteriorarse debido a un almacenamiento o uso prolongados.

• Coloque con firmeza los adaptadores en los auriculares. Si un adaptador se soltara accidentalmente y se le quedara en el oído, podría provocar lesiones.

El modelo EP-EX1 se encuentra disponible (se vende por separado) como adaptador de recambio opcional.
