The Wide Color Gamut LED edge light The Wide Color Gamut LED edge light provides an

expansive color palette and more natural color gradation than an edge light using conventional
fluorescent bulbs. With a Wide Color Gamut LED edge light, you get brilliant contrast with optimized,
more accurate color and blacker blacks, as well as a longer-lasting bulb lifespan than fluorescents.

™ 2 BRAVIA Engine™ 2 fully digital video processor uses a collection of unique

Sony® algorithms to significantly reduce noise, enhance overall image detail, and optimize contrast
so every scene produces sharp, vibrant, life-like images.

Motionflow™ 120Hz technology Motionflow™ 120Hz technology doubles the number of frames in

incoming video content by creating and inserting sixty entirely new frames between the existing sixty
frames in real time. In addition to creating new frames, Motionflow™ 120Hz technology also includes
an Image Blur Reduction algorithm, which reduces source image blur captured by the camera, as
well as a de-juddering circuit to help reduce jerking and stuttering during sweeping pans. The end
result is smoother, more fluid motion that delivers a natural and realistic viewing experience.

10-bit processor/10-

The BRAVIA® KLV-40ZX1M combines a 10-bit processor and 10-bit

panel to create and display billions of colors. Using both a 10-bit processor and 10-bit panel allows for
64 times the level of color expression in 8-bit panels, resulting in smoother color transitions and
helping to avoid giving the picture a “paint-by-numbers” look.
