Installation
1. Outline
The BKE-701A is an optional board to be used with the BVE-700A to realize the functions of the HD
switcher.
The BKE-701A consists of the OUT-28B board and the CN-2843 board.
The OUT-28B board has the following features.
. Five HD SDI inputs
. Three HD SDI outputs (VIDEO OUT x 2, MONITOR OUT x 1)
. Color bar, color background, black signal generation circuit
. Selects A bus signal and B bus signal from player-1, player-2, player-3, recorder, TITLE, color bar,
color background and black.
. CUT, WIPE, DISSOLVE between A bus signal and B bus signal
. Wipe modify for the border, border color and soft
. Reverse wipe transition
. Super impose by the key source and key fill signal
. Color signal can be input to the key fill.
. Key transition
. Mosaic Effect
The CN-2843 board has the following features.
. Five HD SDI input buffers
. Three HD SDI output buffers

4. Installing the BKE-701A
General information on installation
. The BKE-701A has the OUT-28B board and the CN-
2843 board.
. Switch setting is not required before installation. Switch
setting and adjustment after installation is not required.
Installing the OUT-28B board

Insert the OUT-28B board into slot 4.

4. Insert the OUT-28B board into slot 4 and push the
board in the direction of arrow A to connect it to the
motherboard completely.
5. Close the levers in the direction of arrow B and lock
them.

Installation procedure
1. Turn off the main power of the BVE-700A and
disconnect the plug from the outlet.
2. Fully loosen the four screws (with drop-safe) and
remove the front panel.
3. Remove the four screws (B3 x 5) and remove the
board holder.

6. Attach the board holder and front panel removed at
steps 1 to 3.

Insert the CN-2843 board into slot 4.
Installation procedure
1. Remove the two screws and remove the blank panel.

Store the removed blank panel in a safe location.
