Introduction

The Bluetooth™ headset HBH-30
is a portable handsfree solution
based on Bluetooth wireless
technology.

See “Guidelines for safe and efficient use” on
page 13 and “Limited Warranty” on page 15 before
using your headset.

What is Bluetooth wireless technology?

The Bluetooth wireless technology makes it possible
to connect any compatible portable and stationary
communications device without using cables. The
technology is based on a radio link that offers fast and
reliable transmission of voice and data information. It
does not require a line-of-sight connection in order to
establish communication. Bluetooth wireless technology
uses a globally available frequency range intended to
ensure communication compatibility worldwide.

4 Introduction

How can I use my headset?

You can connect your HBH-30 headset to your mobile
phone or PC – or any device with Bluetooth wireless
technology that supports the Headset profile. This
user’s guide focuses on how to use the headset with
your mobile phone. When the headset is connected to
your mobile phone, you can use voice control to make
calls (if your phone supports this function). The phone
can be tucked away in your pocket or in a bag. You can
handle incoming and outgoing calls, and adjust the
volume, using the buttons on the headset.

Preparing the headset

To be able to use the headset together with a mobile
phone, you need to have a phone with built-in Bluetooth
capability, or a phone with a Bluetooth adapter
connected to it.

Getting Started

Before you start using the headset with a phone
or other device for the first time, you should:

• Charge the headset battery, using an appropriate
Sony Ericsson charger.

• Pair the headset with a device, for example,
a mobile phone.

Charging

The headset comes with a built-in rechargeable battery.
The battery is not fully charged when you buy the
headset. We recommend that you charge the battery
until the headset indicator light turns green before
using the headset for the first time.

• To remind you that you will soon need to recharge
the battery, the headset indicator light flashes red
when the headset is on.

• It takes 1 to 1.5 hours to fully recharge the battery.

• During charging, the indicator light shows a steady red

light if the headset is turned off, and flashes red if the
headset is on.

• When the battery is fully charged, the indicator shows
a steady green light if the headset is off, or a flashing
green light if the headset is on.

6 Preparing the headset

Compatible chargers

You can attach the following Sony Ericsson or
Ericsson chargers to the HBH-30:

• Travel Charger CTR-10

• Standard Charger CST-13

• Cigarette Lighter Adapter CLA-11

To charge the battery

• Connect the charger to the headset and to the mains.
Make sure the flash symbol on the plug faces the
speaker.

To disconnect the charger

• Tilt the charger plug downwards to remove it.

Instructions

Instructions in this user’s guide are based on headset
buttons and phone keys. For example, the button
or the

YES key on the phone can be used to answer a call.

To turn the headset on

• Press and hold until you hear a short low tone
followed by a short high tone.
The headset indicator light flashes green. If the battery
is low, the light flashes red.

Note: The first time the headset is turned on, it will
automatically be ready for pairing.

To turn the headset off

• Press and hold until you hear a short high tone
followed by a short low tone. The headset indicator
light is switched off.

Pairing the headset

Before you can use your headset, you must pair it
with the device you want to use it with, for example,
a mobile phone. Once you have paired your headset
with the phone, you do not need to pair it again until
you want to use it with another phone.

General pairing instructions

You pair the headset with the phone by adding it to a
list of paired devices in the phone. They then recognize
each other when they connect.

To pair the headset (general instructions)

1. Prepare your phone according to the phone’s user
documentation on pairing.

2. Press for up to 10 seconds until the indicator
light on the headset flashes green and red. The headset
is now ready for pairing.

3. Continue according to the instructions in the phone’s
user documentation. The headset passkey is 0000.

To pair the headset with a Sony Ericsson or
Ericsson phone

1. With the headset turned off, press and hold for
up to 10 seconds until the indicator light on the headset
flashes green and red.

2. In the phone, scroll to Extras or Connect,
Bluetooth,
Phone initiates,

YES, Paired devices, YES, Add device, YES,

YES.

YES,

3. A list of device types that you can pair with your phone
appears. Scroll to Headset and press

YES. Make sure

the headset are not too far apart.

4. HBH-30 appears in the display. Press

5. Enter the headset passkey (0000) and press

YES.

YES. The

phone pairing procedure starts.

6. You may now replace the given headset name with a
personal name tag and then press

YES. When pairing has

been completed, the headset indicator light flashes green.

Resetting the headset

You may want to reset the headset to its default
settings. This also clears all current pairings.

To reset the headset

1. With the headset turned off, press and hold for
up to 10 seconds until the indicator light on the headset
flashes green and red. Then release the button.

2. Press and hold again until you hear two beeps,
followed a moment later by another two beeps. The
headset is now turned off. Keep the headset off for
at least 30 seconds. The headset has now been reset.

Right or left ear

If you want to wear the headset on your left ear, you
have to change the orientation of the ear hook.

To adjust the ear hook for left-ear use:

• Turn the hook 180 degrees.

Putting on the headset

1. Put on the headset with the ear hook behind your ear.

2. Make sure the microphone is pointing towards your

mouth.

Using the headset

Once you have paired the headset with your phone,
you can make and receive calls using the headset as
long as it is turned on and within range of the phone
–up to 10 m (30 ft) with no solid objects in between.

If your phone supports voice dialling and it is

activated, you can use this feature with the headset.

The following instructions cover the use of the
headset with a Sony Ericsson or Ericsson phone with
built-in Bluetooth capability, or a Bluetooth phone
adapter from Sony Ericsson and a Sony Ericsson or
Ericsson phone.

Note: Always make sure the Bluetooth Operation mode
in the phone is on when using a Bluetooth headset.

Making calls

Phone functionality is still available when the headset
is connected. You can make a call with the phone or
with the headset.

To make a call using voice dialling

1. Make sure the phone and the headset are on and within
range of each other. Press .

2. After the beep, voice dial as you normally would.
If using the Bluetooth phone adapter: Say the voice
command after the phone beep (not after the headset
beep). To know when the phone beeps in relation to
the headset beep, make a test call using voice dialling.

3. End the call by pressing .
You can also make a call using the phone’s keypad
or phone book (if, for example, your phone does not
support voice dialling).

Answering calls

To answer a call using

1. When the headset rings, press .
Note: If the phone rings first, wait until the headset

rings, then press .

2. End the call by pressing .

To answer a second call

• You have to use the phone keypad to answer and
handle a second call, but you can still use the headset
for talking and listening. You cannot use the headset
buttons during a second call. Refer to the phone's user
documentation on how to handle more than one call
simultaneously.

To reject a call

• When the headset rings, press and hold until
you hear a long beep.

To turn off the microphone

• During a call, press and release both and
to turn off the microphone. A repeated beep is heard
while the microphone is turned off.

• Press and hold both and again to resume
the conversation.

Using voice commands

Voice commands are especially useful when you are
using the headset. For information on voice
commands, refer to the phone’s user documentation.

Adjusting the speaker volume

You can adjust the headset speaker volume during a call.

To adjust the speaker volume

• To increase the volume, press .

• To decrease the volume, press .

Adjusting the ring volume

You can adjust the headset ring volume when you are
not engaged in a call.

To adjust the ring volume

• To increase the ring volume, press .

• To decrease the ring volume, press .

Note: The headset uses increasing volume. For safety
reasons, it starts with a low volume level before the
maximum set level is reached.

Transferring sound from phone to headset

If you make a call without using the headset, you can
transfer the sound to the headset if the headset is on,
paired with the phone and within range.

To transfer the sound to the headset

• During a call, press an hold to transfer the sound
to the headset. The headset beeps until the sound has
been transferred.

If the headset is turned on after a call has been initiated,
you can transfer the sound to the headset by pressing
an holding .

Note: To transfer the sound from the headset to the
phone refer to the phone’s user documentation.

Lost connection to headset

If the connection to the headset is lost during an
ongoing call you must confirm the sound transfer
to the phone by pressing the

YES key on the phone,

otherwise the call is disconnected after 30 seconds.

Headset battery status

The headset comes with a built-in battery.

To check the battery status

1. Make sure the headset is turned on. Then press and
release both and .

2. The battery status is indicated by one of these three
levels:

• High – three green flashes

• Medium – two green flashes

• Low – one green flash

Troubleshooting

This section lists some problems that you might
encounter while using your headset.

No sound contact between headset and phone

The headset and the phone you are using with it have
to be paired to recognize each other.

They also have to be within range of each other.
During pairing it is recommended that the headset and
the device you are using it with are within 1 m (3 ft)
of each other, with no solid objects in between.

The headset indicator light flashes red

This indicates that the headset has only limited talk
and standby time left. Charge the headset battery for
approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

No indication of charging is shown

If you charge a headset battery that is empty, or has not
been used for a long time, it may take several minutes
before a light to indicate charging (a steady red light)
appears.

Some headset functions do not work

If you notice that you cannot make use of all the
features in the HBH-30 headset, please check with an
Sony Ericsson service partner. For information about
support and for User’s Guides for Ericsson, Sony and
Sony Ericsson mobile phones, see

The headset is automatically switched off

There are two reasons why the headset might be
switched off automatically:

• The battery is too low. The indicator light on the
headset flashes red and you hear a low beep.

Charge the headset battery for approximately

1 to 1.5 hours.

• The headset has been exposed to extreme
temperatures.

Let the headset rest for a while in room temperature,

then turn it on again.

Voice commands not working properly

If you have problems using the voice commands, try to
record them using the headset. For more information
see http://www.SonyEricssonMobile.com.

Charging during a call

You cannot charge the headset during a call. The call
will be disconnected.

Guidelines for safe and efficient use

Note: Read this information before using your Bluetooth headset.

Changes or modifications to this Bluetooth headset not expressly approved
by Sony Erics son may void the user's authority to operate the equipmen t.

Please check f or any excepti ons, due to national requi rements or
limitations, in usage of Bluetooth equipment before using thi s product.

Product care

Please note only Sony Ericsson service partners should remove or replace
the ba ttery.

• Do not expose your product to liquid or moisture or to humidity.

• Do not expose your product to extreme high or l ow temperatures.

• Do not expose your product to lit candles, ci garettes, or cigars, or to open
flam es etc.

• Do not drop , throw or try to bend th e produc t as rough treatme nt coul d
damage it.

• Do not use any other accessories than Sony Ericsson or Ericsson original s
intended for use with thi s product. Use of non-original accessories m ay
result in loss of perf ormance, damage to the product, fire, electric shock
or injury. The warranty does not cover product failures which h ave been
caused by use of non-original accessories.

• Do not attempt to disassembl e your product. The product does not
contain consumer servi ceable or replaceabl e components. Only Sony
Ericsson service partners sh ould perform service.

• Do not keep the product in an area prone to dust and dirt. Only use a
soft damp cloth to clean your product.

• If you will not be using the product for a while, store it in a place that
is dry, free from damp, dust and extreme temperatures.

Radio frequency exposure

Your Bluetooth heads et is a ra dio tra nsm itter an d rece ive r. When i n
operation, it communicates wi th a Bluetooth equipped mobil e device by
recei ving an d tran smi tting radi o frequenc y (RF ) electrom agne tic f ields
(microwaves) in the frequency range 2400 to 2500 MHz. The output
power of the radio transmi tter is low, 0.001 watt.

Your Bluetooth headset is desi gned to operate in compli ance with the
RF exposure guidelines and limits set by national authorities and
international h ealth agencies when used with any com patible Sony
Erics son or Erics son m obile ph one.

Driving

Check the laws and regulati ons on the use of mobile phone s and hands
free equipm ent in the areas where you drive.

Always give ful l attention to driving and pull off the road and park before
making or answering a call if driving conditions so require.

RF energy may affect some electronic sy stems in m otor vehicles such as
car stereo, safety equipm ent etc. Check with y our vehicle m anufacturer's
repres entative to be sure th at your m obile p hone or Bluetooth headset will
not affect the electronic systems in your vehi cle.

Electronic equipment

Most modern electronic equi pment is shie lded from RF energy. However,
certain electronic equipment i s not, therefore:

Do not use your Bluetooth headset near medi cal equipme nt without
requesting permis sion. If you are using an y personal medi cal devi ces,
e.g. a pacemaker or a heari ng aid, plea se read in y our mobile phone's
User's Guide f or further inf ormation.

Aircraft

Turn your Bluetooth headset OFF before boarding any aircraft. To prevent
interference wi th communi cation sys tems, you must not use y our
Bluetooth headset while the pl ane is in the air.

14 Troubleshooting

Blasting areas

Turn off all y our electronic devi ces when in a bl asting area or in areas
posted turn off two-way radio to avoid interfering with blasting
operations. Construction crews often use rem ote control RF devices
to set off explosiv es.

Potentially explosive atmospheres

Turn off your electronic device wh en in any area with a potentially
explosiv e atmosphere. It is rare, but your electronic devic e could generate
sparks. Sparks in such areas could cause an ex plosion or fire resul ting in
bodily injury or even death.

Areas with a potentiall y explosi ve atmosphere are often, but not always,
clearly marked.

Power supply

Connect the AC power adapter only to designated power sources as
marked on the product.
To reduce risk of damage to the electric cord, remove it from the outlet
by hol ding onto the AC adapter rather than the c ord.
Make sure the cord is positioned so that it will not be stepped on, tripped
over or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
To reduce risk of electric sh ock, unplug the unit from any power source
bef ore attem ptin g to clea n it.
The AC power adapter must not be use d outdoors or in damp areas.
DANGER – Neve r alter the AC c ord or plu g. If th e plug wil l not f it i nto
the outlet, have a proper outlet instal led by a qualif ied electric ian.
Improper connection can result in risk of electric shock.

Placing

Sony Ericsson recommends that the Bluetooth headset is worn in positions
where it will not be subject to pressure since such pressure may result in
bodily injury or damage to the product.
Check with y our vehicle m anufacturer's representative to be sure that the
car holder is placed i n a safe location.

Children

Do not allow children to play with your Bluetooth headset since i t
contains smal l parts that could become detached and create a choking
hazard.

Emergency calls

IMPORTANT!

This Bluetooth headset and the electronic device connected to the hands
free operate using radio sign als, cell ular and lan dline ne tworks as well as
user-programmed functions, which cannot guarantee connection under all
conditions. Therefore you should never rely solely upon any electronic
device for esse ntial comm unications (e.g. medical emergencies).
Remember, in order to make or receive call s, the hands free and the
electronic devi ce connected to the hands f ree must be swi tched on and
in a service area wi th adequate cellular si gnal strength. Emergency calls
may not be possible on all cellular phone networks or when certain
network services and/or phone features are in use. Check wi th your
local servi ce provider.

Battery information

Please note that only Sony Ericsson s ervice partners are abl e to remove
or replace the battery in a proper way.

A rechargeable battery has a l ong service li fe if treated properly.

A new battery or one that has not been used for a long period of time
could have reduced capacity the f irst few times i t is used.

Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures, never above
+55°C (+131°F). F or max im um ba ttery ca paci ty, use th e battery in
room temperature. If the battery is used in l ow temperatures, the battery
capacity will be reduced.

The battery can only be charged in temperatures be tween +10°C (+50°F)
and +45°C (+113°F).

Recycling the battery in your Bluetooth headset

The ba ttery i n y our Bluetooth headset must be disposed of properly and
should never be pl aced in muni cipal waste. The Sony Eri csson service
partner removing or repl acing the battery will dispose of it accordi ng to
local regulations .

Limited Warranty

Subj ect to the condi tions of this Li mited Warran ty, Sony Eric sson Mobi le
Communi cations AB (Sony Ericsson), S-221 88 Lund, Sweden warran ts
this product to be free from defects in design, m aterial and workmansh ip
at the time of its original purchase by a consum er, and for a subsequent
period of one (1) year. Should your Product need warranty service, pleas e
return it to the dealer from wh om it was purchas ed or contact your local
Sony Ericsson Contact Center to get further information.

What we will do

If, during the warran ty period, this Product fai ls to operate under normal
use and servi ce, due to defects in m aterials or workmans hip, the Sony
Ericsson authorized di stributors or service partners will, at their option,
either repair or replace the Product in accordance with the conditions
stipulated herein .

Conditions

1. The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original
purchaser by the dealer, specif ying the date of purchase and seri al
number, is presented with the Product to be repaired or replaced. Sony
Erics son reserv es the righ t to refuse wa rranty ser vic e if this in formation
has been rem oved or changed after the ori ginal purch ase of the Product
from the dealer.

2. If Sony Erics son repairs or replaces the Product, the repaired or replaced
Product shall be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty
period or for ninety (90) days f rom the date of repair, whichever is l onger.
Repair or replacement m ay invol ve the use of functional ly equi valent
reconditioned units. Replaced parts or components will become the
property of Sony Ericsson.

3. This warranty does not cover any failure of the Product due to normal
wear and tear, or due to misuse, including but not limited to use in other
than the normal and customary manner, in accordance with i nstructions
for use and mai ntenance of the Product. Nor does this warranty c over any
failure of the product due to accident, modif ication or adjustmen t, acts of
God or damage resulting from li quid.

4. This warranty does not cover Product fai lures due to improper repai r
install ations, modifi cations or service perform ed by a non-Sony Eri csson
authorized person.

5. Tampering with any of the seals on the Product will v oid the warranty.

6. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES, WHETHER WRITTEN

OR ORAL, OTHER THAN THIS PRINTED LIMITED WARRANTY.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT
LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED
WARRANTY. IN NO EVENT SHALL SONY ERICSSON OR ITS
VENDORS BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL

Was ist die Funktechnologie Bluetooth?

Vorbereitungen

Bevor Sie das Headset das erste Mal mit einem Telefon
oder einem anderen Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, sind die
folgenden Vorbereitungen nötig:

• Laden Sie den Headset-Akku mit einem geeigneten
Ladegerät von Sony Ericsson.

• Koppeln Sie das Headset mit einem Gerät,
beispielsweise mit einem Mobiltelefon.

Laden

Im Headset befindet sich ein Akku. Der Akku ist zum
Zeitpunkt der Auslieferung nicht vollständig geladen.
Es empfiehlt sich, den Akku vor der ersten Benutzung
des Headsets so lange zu laden, bis die Anzeigelampe
grün leuchtet.

• Kurz bevor der Akku nach längerem Betrieb erneut
geladen werden muss, blinkt die Anzeigelampe bei
eingeschaltetem Headset rot.

• Das vollständige Aufladen des Akkus dauert 1 bis
1,5 Stunden.

• Während des Ladens leuchtet die Anzeigelampe bei
ausgeschaltetem Headset ständig rot, bei
eingeschaltetem Headset blinkt sie rot.

• Ist der Akku vollständig geladen und das Headset
ausgeschaltet, leuchtet die Anzeigelampe ständig grün,
bei eingeschaltetem Headset blinkt sie grün.

Kompatible Ladegeräte

Das HBH-30 kann mit den folgenden Ladegeräten von
Sony Ericsson oder Ericsson verbunden werden:

• Reiseladegerät CTR-10

• Standardladegerät CST-13

So laden Sie den Akku:

• Schließen Sie das Ladegerät an das Headset und das
Stromnetz an. Das Blitzsymbol auf dem Stecker muss
in Richtung des Lautsprechers zeigen.

Koppeln des Headsets

dem Telefon gekoppelt haben, müssen Sie es erst
wieder neu koppeln, wenn Sie ein anderes Telefon

Allgemeine Anleitung zum Koppeln

Das Koppeln des Headsets mit dem Telefon erfolgt
durch Eintragen des Headsets in eine Liste im Telefon,
die alle gekoppelten Geräte enthält. Beim Aufbau einer
Verbindung können sich die Geräte dann gegenseitig
erkennen.

So koppeln Sie das Headset mit dem Telefon
(allgemeine Anleitung):

1. Bereiten Sie das Telefon mithilfe der zugehörigen
Bedienungsanleitung auf das Koppeln vor.

2. Drücken Sie die Taste 10 Sekunden, bis
die Anzeigelampe am Headset grün und rot blinkt.
Das Headset kann jetzt gekoppelt werden.

3. Fahren Sie nach Maßgabe der Anleitungen in
der Bedienungsanleitung zum Telefon fort. Die
Headset-Kennung lautet 0000.

So koppeln Sie das Headset mit einem Telefon
von Sony Ericsson oder Ericsson:

1. Drücken Sie bei ausgeschaltetem Headset 10
Sekunden lang die Taste , bis die Anzeigelampe
am Headset abwechselnd rot und grün blinkt.

2. Blättern Sie im Telefon zu Extras oder Verbinden,

Zurücksetzen des Headsets

Sie können das Headset auf die Standardwerte
zurücksetzen. Dadurch werden auch alle Koppelungen
gelöscht.

So setzen Sie das Headset zurück:

1. Drücken Sie bei ausgeschaltetem Headset 10
Sekunden lang die Taste , bis die Anzeigelampe
am Headset abwechselnd rot und grün blinkt. Lassen
Sie die Taste dann wieder los.

2. Drücken und halten Sie die Taste erneut, bis Sie
2 Signaltöne hören, gefolgt von 2 weiteren Signaltönen
nach einer kurzen Pause. Das Headset ist jetzt

30 Sekunden ausgeschaltet. Nun ist das Headset
zurückgesetzt.

Rechtes oder linkes Ohr

Wenn das Headset am linken Ohr getragen werden
soll, muss die Ausrichtung des Bügels geändert
werden.

So stellen Sie den Ohrbügel für das linke Ohr ein:

• Drehen Sie den Bügel um 180°.

Anlegen des Headsets

1. Legen Sie den Ohrbügel hinter das Ohr.

2. Prüfen Sie, ob das Mikrofon zum Mund weist.

Verwenden der
Freisprecheinrichtung

Sobald das Headset mit dem Telefon gekoppelt ist,
können Sie über das Headset Anrufe tätigen und
annehmen. Voraussetzung ist, dass das Headset
eingeschaltet ist und sich innerhalb der Reichweite
des Telefons befindet. Die Reichweite beträgt
maximal 10 m, wenn sich keine massiven Objekte
im Übertragungsweg befinden.

Unterstützt das Telefon die Sprachwahl und ist diese
Funktion aktiviert, können Sie die Funktion auch mit
dem Headset nutzen.

Die folgenden Anleitungen beschreiben den Einsatz
des Headsets mit einem Telefon mit integrierter
Bluetooth Funktionalität von Sony Ericsson oder
Ericsson oder einem Telefon mit angeschlossenem
Bluetooth Telefonadapter von Sony Ericsson oder
Ericsson.

Hinweis: Achten Sie beim Einsatz eines Bluetooth
Headsets darauf, das der Bluetooth Betriebsmodus des
Telefons aktiviert ist.

Tätigen von Anrufen

Die Funktionalität des Telefons bleibt bei
angeschlossenem Headset erhalten. Sie können
Anrufe mit dem Telefon oder dem Headset tätigen.

So tätigen Sie einen Anruf sprachgesteuert:

1. Schalten Sie Telefon und Headset ein. Die Geräte
müssen sich in Reichweite zueinander befinden.
Drücken Sie .

2. Führen Sie nach dem Signalton wie gewohnt die
Sprachwahl durch.
Mit Bluetooth Telefonadapter: Sagen Sie den
Sprachbefehl nach dem Signalton des Telefons (nicht
nach dem Signalton des Headsets). Damit Sie wissen,
wann das Telefon im Verhältnis zum Headset einen
Signalton ausgibt, sollten Sie sprachgesteuert einen
Testanruf durchführen.

3. Beenden Sie den Anruf durch Drücken der Taste .
Sie können einen Anruf auch mit dem Tastenfeld des
Tel efons oder über das Telefonbuch tätigen (wenn das
Telefon die Sprachwahl nicht unterstützt).

Annehmen von Anrufen

So nehmen Sie einen Anruf mithilfe der Taste

an:

1. Drücken Sie die Taste , wenn das Headset
klingelt.

Hinweis: Klingelt das Telefon zuerst, warten Sie bis
zum Klingeln des Headsets. Drücken Sie dann die
Taste .

2. Beenden Sie den Anruf durch Drücken der Taste .

So nehmen Sie einen zweiten Anruf an:

• Ein zweiter ankommender Anruf muss über die
Telefontastatur angenommen und bearbeitet werden.
Sprechen und Hören können Sie aber weiterhin über
das Headset. Während ein zweites Gespräch geführt
wird, können die Headset-Tasten nicht verwendet
werden. In der Anleitung zum Telefon wird
beschrieben, wie Sie mehrere Anrufe gleichzeitig
verwalten.

So weisen Sie einen Anruf ab:

• Klingelt das Headset, drücken Sie , bis Sie
einen langen Signalton hören.

So schalten Sie das Mikrofon aus:

• Drücken Sie während eines Anrufs gleichzeitig kurz
die Tasten und , um das Mikrofon
auszuschalten. Während das Mikrofon ausgeschaltet
ist, wird wiederholt ein Signalton ausgegeben.

• Drücken Sie die Tasten und erneut, um
das Gespräch fortzusetzen.

Verwenden von Sprachbefehlen

Sprachbefehle sind insbesondere bei Verwendung
eines Headsets hilfreich. Informationen zu
Sprachbefehlen finden Sie in der Bedienungsanleitung
des Telefons.

Einstellen der Lautstärke

Die Headset-Lautstärke kann während des Gesprächs
eingestellt werden.

So stellen Sie die Lautstärke ein:

• Zum Erhöhen der Lautstärke drücken Sie die
Tas te .

• Zum Reduzieren der Lautstärke drücken Sie die
Tas te .

Einstellen der Ruftonlautstärke

Die Ruftonlautstärke des Headsets kann eingestellt
werden, wenn gerade kein Gespräch geführt wird.

So stellen Sie die Ruftonlautstärke ein:

• Zum Erhöhen der Ruftonlautstärke drücken Sie die
Taste .

• Zum Reduzieren der Ruftonlautstärke drücken Sie die
Taste .

Hinweis: Das Headset verwendet einen Rufton mit
ansteigender Lautstärke. Aus Sicherheitsgründen wird
mit einer geringen Lautstärke begonnen und diese
langsam bis zum Maximum gesteigert.

Übertragen des Tons vom Telefon zum Headset

Wenn Sie einen Anruf ohne das Headset getätigt
haben, können Sie die Tonübertragung zum Headset
umschalten. Hierzu muss das Headset eingeschaltet,
mit dem Telefon gekoppelt und in Reichweite sein.

So übertragen Sie den Ton zum Headset um:

• Drücken Sie während eines Gesprächs , um den
Ton zum Headset zu übertragen. Das Headset gibt
Signaltöne aus, bis der Ton übertragen wurde.

Wird das Headset erst nach Beginn des Gesprächs
eingeschaltet, kann der Ton durch Drücken und Halten
der Taste zum Headset übertragen werden.

Hinweis: Informationen zum Übertragen des Tons
vom Headset zum Telefon finden Sie in der
Bedienungsanleitung des Telefons.

Unterbrochene Verbindung zum Headset

Geht die Verbindung zum Headset während eines
Gesprächs verloren, müssen Sie das Übertragen des
Tons zum Telefon mit der Telefontaste

YES bestätigen.

Andernfalls wird der Anruf nach 30 Sekunden beendet.

Ladezustand des Akkus der
Freisprecheinrichtung

Das Headset ist mit einem integrierten Akku ausgestattet.

So prüfen Sie den Ladezustand des Akkus:

1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Headset eingeschaltet ist.
Drücken Sie dann kurz die Tasten und .

2. Der Ladezustand wird in drei Stufen angezeigt:

• Hoch – Dreimaliges grünes Blinken

Fehlerbehebung

In diesem Abschnitt werden Lösungen für Probleme
beschrieben, die bei der Benutzung des Headsets
auftreten können.

Keine Tonübertragung zwischen dem Headset
und dem Telefon

Das Headset und das verwendete Telefon müssen
miteinander gekoppelt sein. Nur dann können sich
die Geräte erkennen.

Sie müssen sich außerdem in Reichweite befinden.
Während der Kopplung sollten sich das Headset und
das andere Gerät in einer Entfernung von nicht mehr
als 1 m befinden. Zwischen den Geräten dürfen sich
keine massiven Objekte befinden.

Die Anzeigelampe am Headset blinkt rot

Dies zeigt an, dass für das Headset nur noch begrenzte
Sprech- und Standby-Zeit zur Verfügung steht. Laden
Sie den Akku des Headsets für ca. 1 bis 1,5 Stunden.

Keine Ladeanzeige

Wenn Sie einen Headset-Akku laden, der vollständig
entladen war oder für längere Zeit nicht benutzt
wurde, kann es mehrere Minuten dauern, bevor
die Ladeanzeige (rotes Dauerlicht) zu sehen ist.

Einige Funktionen des Headsets können nicht
genutzt werden

Wenn Sie bemerken, dass Sie nicht alle Funktionen des

Das Headset wird automatisch ausgeschaltet

Es gibt zwei Gründe, aus denen das Headset
gegebenenfalls automatisch ausgeschaltet wird:

• Die Akkuladung ist zu gering. Die Anzeigelampe am
Headset blinkt rot und Sie hören einen tiefen
Signalton.

Das vollständige Aufladen des Headset-Akkus

• Das Headset wurde extremen Temperaturen

Stromversorgung

Schließen Sie das Netzteil ausschließlich an Stromquellen an, di e den
Angaben auf dem Produkt entsprechen.
Um Beschädigungen des Stromkabels zu vermeiden, achten Sie bei m
Ziehen des Netzsteckers darauf, dass Sie am Netzadapter und nicht

Um einen Stromschlag zu verm eiden, trennen Sie das Gerät vom Netz,
bevor Sie das Telefon reinigen.
Das Netzgerät darf nicht im Freien oder in einer feuchten Umgebung
eingesetzt werden.
GEFAHR – Nehmen Sie kei nesfalls Änderungen am Netzkabel oder
Netzkabelstecker vor. Passt der Stecker nicht in die Steckdose, müssen
Sie von einem Elektriker eine passende Steckdose installieren lassen.
Bei fehlerhaften Verbindungen besteht die Gefahr von Stromschlägen.

Platzierung

Sony Ericsson empfiehlt das Tragen des Bluetooth Headsets an
Positionen, an denen es ni cht gequetscht werden kann, da dies zu
Verletzungen oder Beschädigungen des Produkts führen kann.
Fragen Sie gegebenenfalls beim Hersteller des Fahrzeugs nach, wo die
Halterung installiert werden kann, ohne eine Gefährdung zu bilden.

Kinder

Erlauben Sie Kindern nicht, mit dem Bluetooth Headset zu spielen,

30 Fehlerbehebung

Informationen zu Akkus

Beachten Sie, dass der Akku nur von Sony Ericsson Servicepartnern
ordnungsgemäß entnommen oder ausgetauscht werden kann.

Ein Akku weist eine lange Lebensdauer auf, wenn er ordnungsgemäß
behandelt wird.

Ein neuer oder für lange Zeit nicht benutzter Akku weist in den ersten
Ladezyklen möglicherweise eine verringerte Ladekapazität auf .

Setzen Sie den Akku keinen extremen Temperaturen aus (niemal s über
+55 °C). Um eine maximale Akkuleistung zu erzi elen, verwenden Sie
den Akku bei Zimmertemperatur. Wenn der Akku bei niedrigen
Temperaturen eingesetzt wird, verringert sich die Akkuleistung.

Das Aufladen des Akkus sollte bei Temperaturen zwischen +10 °C und
+45 °C erfolgen.

Recycling des Akkus im Bluetooth Headset

Der Akku im Bluetooth Headset enthält giftige Bestandteile. Der Akku
muss ordnungsgem äß entsorgt und darf nicht in den Restmüll gegeben
werden. Der den Ausbau bzw. Austausch vornehmende Sony Ericsson
Servicepartner entsorgt den Akku unter Beachtung der lokalen
Richtlinien.

Eingeschränkte Gewährleistung

Nach Maßgabe der Bedingungen dieser eingeschränkten Gewährleistung
garantiert Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB (Sony Ericsson),
S-221 88 Lund, Schweden, dass dieses Produkt für den Zeitraum von
einem (1) Jahr ab Kaufdatum frei von Entwicklungs-, Material- und

¿Qué es la tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth?

La tecnología inalámbrica Bluetooth permite conectar
cualquier dispositivo de comunicaciones compatible,
portátil o fijo, sin utilizar cables. Esta tecnología está

de voz y datos rápida y fiable. No es necesario

¿Cómo puedo utilizar el auricular con micrófono?

Puede conectar el auricular HBH-20 a su teléfono
móvil o PC, o a cualquier dispositivo con la tecnología
inalámbrica Bluetooth que admita el perfil de auricular.
Esta guía del usuario se centra en cómo utilizar el
auricular con su teléfono móvil. Si el auricular está
conectado a su teléfono móvil, puede utilizar el control
por voz para realizar llamadas (si el teléfono admite
esta función). Puede guardar su teléfono en el bolsillo
o en un bolso. También puede controlar las llamadas
entrantes y salientes, así como ajustar el volumen
mediante los botones del auricular.

Primeros pasos

Antes de utilizar por primera vez el auricular con un
teléfono u otro dispositivo, debe realizar lo siguiente:

• Cargue la batería del auricular con un cargador Sony
Ericsson adecuado.

• Acople el auricular a un dispositivo, por ejemplo, un
teléfono móvil.

Carga

El auricular se entrega con una batería recargable
incorporada. Esta batería no estaba totalmente cargada
cuando adquirió el auricular. Le recomendamos que
cargue la batería hasta que el indicador del auricular
cambie a verde antes de utilizarlo por primera vez.

• Para recordarle que pronto va a ser necesario recargar
la batería, el indicador del auricular parpadeará en rojo
cuando esté encendido el auricular.

• La batería tarda en recargarse totalmente entre 1 y 1,5
horas.

• Durante la carga, el indicador muestra una luz roja fija
si está apagado el auricular, y una luz roja parpadeante
si está encendido.

• Cuando la batería está totalmente cargada, el indicador
muestra una luz verde fija si está apagado el auricular,
y una luz verde parpadeante si está encendido.

Para encender el auricular:

• Mantenga pulsado hasta que oiga un tono bajo
breve seguido de un tono alto breve.

El indicador del auricular parpadea en verde. Si queda
poca batería, el indicador parpadea en rojo.

Nota: La primera vez que se encienda el auricular
estará automáticamente preparado para el
acoplamiento.

Para apagar el auricular:

• Mantenga pulsado hasta que oiga un tono alto
breve seguido de un tono bajo breve. El indicador del
auricular se apaga.

Acoplamiento del auricular

Antes de poder utilizar el auricular, debe acoplarlo al
dispositivo con el que desea utilizarlo, por ejemplo, un
teléfono móvil. Una vez que ha acoplado el auricular al
teléfono, ya no tiene que volver a acoplarlo hasta que
no desee utilizarlo con otro teléfono.

2. Pulse durante 10 segundos, hasta que el
indicador luminoso del auricular parpadee en verde y
rojo. En ese momento el auricular estará preparado
para el acoplamiento.

3. A continuación siga las instrucciones de la
documentación del usuario proporcionada con el
teléfono. La clave maestra del auricular es 0000.

Para acoplar el auricular a un teléfono Sony
Ericsson o Ericsson:

1. Con el auricular apagado, mantenga pulsado el botón

Si el teléfono admite la marcación por voz, puede

utilizar esta función con el auricular.

Las siguientes instrucciones abarcan el uso del
auricular con un teléfono Sony Ericsson o Ericsson
con capacidadBluetooth incorporada o un
adaptadorBluetooth de Sony Ericsson y un teléfono
Sony Ericsson o Ericsson.

Nota: Asegúrese siempre de que el modo Operación de
Bluetooth en el teléfono está encendido cuando está
utilizando un auricular Bluetooth.

40 Uso del auricular

cómo manejar varias llamadas a la vez, consulte la
documentación del usuario proporcionada con el
teléfono.

Para rechazar una llamada:

• Cuando suene el auricular, pulse hasta que oiga
un pitido prolongado.

Para apagar el micrófono:

• Durante una llamada, pulse y suelte los botones
y para apagar el micrófono. Al apagarse se oye
un pitido repetido.

• Mantenga pulsados los botones y de
nuevo para reanudar la conversación.

Uso de los comandos de voz

Los comandos de voz son especialmente útiles

Ajuste del volumen del altavoz

Puede ajustar el volumen del altavoz del auricular

Ajuste del volumen del timbre de llamada

Puede ajustar el volumen del timbre de llamada del
auricular cuando no esté hablando por teléfono.

Nota: El auricular utiliza un volumen gradual. Por
motivos de seguridad, comienza con un nivel de

Transferencia del sonido desde el teléfono al
auricular

Si realiza una llamada sin utilizar el auricular, puede
transferir el sonido al auricular si éste está encendido,
acoplado al teléfono y dentro del alcance.

Para transferir el sonido al auricular:

• Durante una llamada, pulse para transferir el
sonido al auricular. El auricular emite un pitido hasta
que el sonido se ha transferido.

Si enciende el auricular después de haber iniciado
una llamada, puede transferir el sonido al auricular
manteniendo pulsado .

Nota: Para transferir el sonido desde el auricular
al teléfono, consulte la documentación del usuario
proporcionada con el teléfono.

Pérdida de la conexión al auricular

Si pierde la conexión al auricular durante una llamada,
debe confirmar la transferencia del sonido al teléfono
pulsando la tecla

llamada se desconectará después de 30 segundos.

Estado de la batería del auricular

El auricular se entrega con una batería incorporada.

Para comprobar el estado de la batería:

1. Asegúrese de que el auricular está encendido. A

Solución de problemas

En esta sección se muestran algunos problemas que
pueden surgir al utilizar el auricular.

No hay contacto de sonido entre el auricular
yel teléfono.

Es necesario acoplar el auricular y el teléfono que está
utilizando con él para que se reconozcan entre sí.

Tam bién deben encontrarse dentro del alcance el
uno del otro. Durante el acoplamiento, se recomienda
que el auricular y el dispositivo que está utilizando con
él se encuentren a una distancia no superior a 1 metro
(3 pies) el uno del otro, sin objetos sólidos por medio.

El indicador del auricular parpadea en rojo

Esto indica que al auricular le queda sólo un tiempo
limitado en conversación y en espera. Cargue la batería
del auricular durante aproximadamente 1 a 1,5 horas.

No se muestra ninguna indicación de carga

Si carga una batería de auricular que está vacía o que
no se ha utilizado durante bastante tiempo, pueden
transcurrir varios minutos antes de que se ilumine
la indicación de carga (una luz roja fija).

Algunas funciones del auricular no funcionan.

Exposición a energía de radiofrecuencia

Este auricular Bluetooth es un transmisor y receptor de radio. Durante
su funcionamiento, se comunica con un dispositivo móvil equipado
con Bluetooth mediante la recepción y la transmisión de campos
electromagnéticos (microondas) de radiofrecuencia (RF) dentro del
rango de frecuencias de 2.400 a 2.500 MHz. La potencia de salida del
transmisor de radio es baja: 0,001 vatios.

El auri cular Bluetooth está diseñado para funcionar de acuerdo con las
normativas y límites de exposición a RF impuestos por las autoridades
nacionales y los organismos sanitarios internacionales, siempre que se
utilice con cualquier teléfono móvil Sony Ericsson o Ericsson
compatible.

Uso del teléfono durante la conducción

Consulte las leyes y normativas relacionadas con el uso de teléfonos
móviles y equipos de manos libres en las zonas donde conduzca.

Mantenga siempre toda la atención en la conducción y salga de la
carretera y aparque antes de realizar o responder una llamada si las

vehículos de motor, como el equipo estéreo, el equipo de seguridad, etc.
Consulte en el concesionario en el que haya adquirido su vehículo si su

Dispositivos electrónicos

la energía de RF. No obstante, determinados equipos de este tipo no

No utilice el auricular Bluetooth cerca de equipos médicos sin haber
solicitado antes permiso. Si utiliza algún dispositivo médico personal,
como un marcapasos o un audífono, consulte la guía del usuario del
teléfono móvil para obtener más i nformación.

Aviones

Apague el auricular Bluetooth antes de subir a un avi ón. Para evitar
interferencias con los sistemas de comunicaciones, no debe utilizar este
auricular Bluetooth durante el vuelo.

Áreas de detonación

Para evitar interferencias con las operaciones de detonación, apague
todos los dispositivos electrónicos en zonas de detonación o en áreas

bidireccionales. El personal de construcción suele util izar dispositivos
de RF por control remoto para detonar los explosivos.

Atmósferas potencialmente explosivas

atmósfera potencialmente explosiva. Aunque no es habitual, el
dispositivo electrónico puede generar chispas. En dichas áreas, las
chispas podrían provocar una explosión o un incendio que causarían
lesiones personales o incluso la muerte.

Las áreas con atmósfera potencialmente explosiva suelen estar
claramente señalizadas, aunque no siempre.

Alimentación eléctrica

Conecte el adaptador eléctrico de corrie nte alterna (CA) sólo a las fuentes
de alimentación designadas, conforme a lo indicado en el producto.
Para reducir el riesgo de dañar el cable eléctrico, extráigalo de la toma de
la pared sujetándolo por el adaptador de CA en lugar de por el cable.
Asegúrese de que el cable está colocado de modo que no se pueda pisar
ni tropezar con él o que no esté tensado ni expuesto a ningún tipo de
daño.
Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, desenchufe la unidad de la

Colocación

Niños

No permita que los niños jueguen con el auricular Bluetooth, ya que
contiene piezas pequeñas que podrían soltarse y provocar asfixi a por
obstrucción si fuesen ingeri das.

Llamadas de emergencia

IMPORTANTE

Este auricul ar Bluetooth y el dispositivo electrónico conectado a él
funcionan mediante el uso de señales de radio, redes celulares y de línea
inalámbrica, así como de funciones programadas por el usuario que no
permiten garantizar completamente la conexión en todas las situaciones.
Por consiguiente, nunca debería depender o servirse exclusivamente de

un período prolongado se puede ver reducida las primeras veces que se
utilicen.

No exponga la batería a temperaturas extremas; la temperatura no debe
ser nunca superior a +55°C (+131°F). Para optimizar la capacidad de
la batería, utilícela a temperatura ambiente. A bajas temperaturas, la
capacidad de la batería se reduce.

La batería sólo puede cargarse a temperaturas entre +10°C (+50°F) y
+45°C (+113°F).

Reciclaje de la batería del auricular Bluetooth

La batería del auricular Bluetooth se debe desechar de forma correcta
y no depositarla en ningún caso en los contenedores muni cipales. El
Ericsson Service Partner que extraiga o sustituya l a batería la desechará
conforme a las disposiciones locales.

Garantía limitada

Sujeto a las condiciones de esta garantía limitada, Sony Ericsson Mobile

tous types de périphériques de communication portable
et fixe sans utiliser de câble. Cette technologie repose
sur une liaison radio assurant une transmission fiable
et rapide d'informations voix et données. Elle ne
nécessite pas de connexion physique pour
l'établissement de la communication. La technologie
sans fil Bluetooth utilise une plage de fréquences
disponible partout dans le monde, destinée à garantir la
compatibilité des communications sur toute la planète.

50 Introduction

Comment utiliser le casque ?

Vous pouvez connecter votre casque HBH-30 à votre
téléphone mobile ou à votre PC (ou à tout autre
périphérique Bluetooth prenant en charge le profil
Casque). Ce Guide d'utilisation décrit essentiellement
l'utilisation du casque avec votre téléphone mobile.
Lorsque le casque est connecté à votre téléphone
mobile, vous pouvez utiliser la commande vocale pour
émettre des appels (si votre téléphone prend en charge
cette fonction). Le téléphone peut être placé dans une
poche de vêtement ou dans un sac. A l'aide des boutons
situés sur le casque, vous pouvez gérer les appels
entrants et sortants, ou encore régler le volume.

Démarrage

Avant d'utiliser pour la première fois le casque avec
un téléphone ou un autre périphérique, vous devez :

• Charger la batterie du casque à l'aide d'un chargeur
Sony Ericsson approprié.

• Jumeler le casque avec un périphérique (le téléphone
mobile, par exemple).

Chargement

Le casque est livré avec une batterie rechargeable
intégrée. Celle-ci n'est pas entièrement chargée lors
de l'achat du casque. Avant de l'utiliser pour la
première fois, nous vous conseillons de la charger
jusqu'à ce que le voyant lumineux devienne vert.

• Pour indiquer que la batterie devra bientôt être
rechargée, le voyant lumineux du casque clignote
en rouge lorsque le casque est sous tension.

• Il faut compter entre 1 heure et 1 heure 30 pour
recharger complètement la batterie.

• Pendant le chargement, le voyant lumineux est rouge
lorsque le casque est hors tension et rouge clignotant
lorsqu'il est sous tension.

• Lorsque la batterie est entièrement chargée, le voyant
lumineux est vert lorsque le casque est hors tension ou
vert clignotant lorsqu'il est sous tension.

Pour charger la batterie

• Connectez le chargeur au casque et à une prise secteur.
Assurez-vous que l'éclair imprimé sur la fiche est
orienté vers le haut-parleur.

Instructions

Les instructions de ce Guide d'utilisation reposent sur
les boutons du casque et sur les touches du téléphone.
Par exemple, le bouton ou la touche

téléphone permettent de répondre à un appel.

Pour mettre le casque sous tension

• Maintenez le bouton enfoncé jusqu'à ce que
vous entendiez une courte tonalité grave, suivie d'une
brève tonalité aiguë.
Le voyant lumineux du casque clignote en vert. Si la
batterie est faible, le voyant lumineux clignote en rouge.

Remarque :A sa première mise sous tension, le casque
est automatiquement prêt pour le jumelage.

Pour mettre le casque hors tension

• Maintenez le bouton enfoncé jusqu'à ce que
vous entendiez une courte tonalité aiguë, suivie d'une
brève tonalité grave. Le voyant du casque s'éteint.

Jumelage du casque

Avant de pouvoir utiliser votre casque, vous devez le
jumeler avec le périphérique avec lequel vous
souhaitez l'utiliser (le téléphone mobile, par exemple).
Une fois votre casque jumelé avec le téléphone, il est
inutile de le jumeler à nouveau, sauf si vous voulez
l'utiliser avec un autre téléphone.

Instructions générales de jumelage

Vous jumelez le casque avec votre téléphone en
l'ajoutant à la liste des périphériques jumelés,
implémentée dans le téléphone. Ils se reconnaissent
ensuite mutuellement lors de leur connexion.

Pour jumeler le casque (instructions générales)

1. Préparez votre téléphone conformément aux
instructions sur le jumelage présentes dans la
documentation utilisateur de l'appareil.

2. Appuyez sur pendant 10 secondes jusqu'à ce que
le voyant lumineux du casque clignote en vert et rouge.
Le casque est maintenant prêt pour le jumelage.

3. Poursuivez en respectant les instructions présentes
dans la documentation utilisateur de l'appareil. La clé
de liaison du casque est 0000.

Pour jumeler le casque avec un téléphone
Ericsson ou Sony Ericsson

1. Le casque étant hors tension, maintenez le bouton

enfoncé pendant 10 secondes jusqu'à ce que le

voyant lumineux du casque clignote en vert et rouge.

2. Sur le téléphone, sélectionnez ExtrasouConnecter,
Bluetooth,
périphérique ?,

Réinitialisation du casque

Si vous le souhaitez, vous pouvez réinitialiser le
casque et rétablir ainsi ses paramètres par défaut.
Cette intervention annule également tous les jumelages
en cours.

Pour réinitialiser le casque

1. Le casque étant hors tension, maintenez le bouton

enfoncé pendant 10 secondes jusqu'à ce que son
voyant lumineux clignote en vert et rouge. Relâchez
ensuite le bouton.

2. Maintenez une nouvelle fois le bouton enfoncé
jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez deux bips, suivis ensuite
de deux autres bips. Le casque est à présent hors
tension. Laissez-le hors tension pendant au moins
30 secondes. Le casque est réinitialisé.

Oreille droite ou gauche

Si vous souhaitez porter le casque sur l'oreille gauche,
vous devez changer l'orientation du contour d'oreille.

Pour ajuster le contour d'oreille en vue d'une
utilisation sur l'oreille gauche :

• Faites-le pivoter de 180 degrés.

Positionnement du casque

1. Mettez en place le casque, le contour d'oreille
derrière l'oreille.

2. Assurez-vous que le micro est orienté vers votre
bouche.

Utilisation du casque

Une fois que vous avez jumelé le casque avec votre
téléphone, vous pouvez émettre et recevoir des appels
avec le casque, à condition qu'il soit sous tension et
dans le rayon d'action du téléphone (jusqu'à 10 mètres
sans obstacle physique interposé).

Si votre téléphone prend en charge la numérotation
vocale et que cette fonction est activée, vous pouvez
l'utiliser avec le casque.

Les instructions suivantes concernent l'utilisation du
casque avec un téléphone Ericsson ou Sony Ericsson
doté des fonctions Bluetooth intégrées, ou avec un
téléphone Ericsson ou Sony Ericsson sur lequel est
installé l'adaptateur téléphonique Bluetooth de
Sony Ericsson.

Remarque :Lors de l'utilisation d'un casque
Bluetooth, veillez toujours à ce que le mode
d'utilisation Bluetooth du téléphone soit activé.

56 Utilisation du casque

Emission d'appels

Les fonctionnalités du téléphone sont toujours
disponibles, même lorsque le casque est connecté.
Ainsi, pour émettre des appels, vous pouvez utiliser
aussi bien le téléphone que le casque.

Pour émettre un appel en utilisant la
numérotation vocale

1. Assurez-vous que le téléphone et le casque sont sous
tension et à portée l'un de l'autre. Appuyez sur .

2. Après le bip, procédez à la numérotation vocale.
Si vous utilisez l'adaptateur téléphonique Bluetooth :
prononcez la commande vocale dès que le téléphone
émet un bip (et non le casque). Pour savoir à quel
moment le téléphone émet un bip en direction du
casque, émettez un appel test via la numérotation
vocale.

3. Terminez l'appel en appuyant sur le bouton .
Vous pouvez également émettre un appel au moyen du
répertoire ou du clavier du téléphone (si, par exemple,
votre téléphone ne prend pas en charge la numérotation
vocale).

Pour répondre à un appel à l'aide de

Remarque : Si le téléphone sonne en premier,

attendez que le casque sonne à son tour, puis
appuyez sur .

2. Terminez l'appel en appuyant sur le bouton .

Pour répondre à un deuxième appel

• Vous devez utiliser le clavier du téléphone pour gérer
et répondre à un deuxième appel, mais vous pouvez
toujours utiliser le casque pour parler et écouter. Vous
ne pouvez pas utiliser les boutons du casque pendant
un deuxième appel. Pour la procédure de gestion de
plusieurs appels simultanés, reportez-vous à la
documentation utilisateur du téléphone.

Pour rejeter un appel

• Lorsque le casque sonne, maintenez enfoncé
jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez un bip prolongé.

Pour couper le micro

• En cours d'appel, appuyez brièvement et simultanément
sur et pour couper le micro. Un bip répété
retentit pendant que le micro est coupé.

• Maintenez de nouveau et enfoncés
simultanément pour reprendre la conversation.

Utilisation des commandes vocales

Les commandes vocales se révèlent particulièrement
utiles lors de l'utilisation du casque. Pour obtenir
plus d'informations à ce sujet, reportez-vous à la
documentation utilisateur du téléphone.

Réglage du volume du haut-parleur

Vous pouvez régler le volume du haut-parleur du
casque pendant un appel.

Réglage du volume de la sonnerie

Remarque : Le casque applique un volume croissant.
Pour des raisons de sécurité, il commence par un
volume faible avant d'atteindre le niveau maximal que
vous avez réglé.

Transfert du son du téléphone vers le casque

Si vous émettez un appel sans utiliser le casque, vous
pouvez transférer le son vers le casque si celui-ci est
sous tension, jumelé avec le téléphone et dans son
rayon d'action.

Pour transférer le son vers le casque

• Pendant un appel, maintenez enfoncé pour
transférer le son vers le casque. Le casque émet un bip
jusqu'à ce que le transfert du son soit achevé.

Si le casque est sous tension après le début d'un appel,
vous pouvez maintenir enfoncé pour transférer
le son vers le casque.

Connexion au casque perdue

Si la connexion au casque est perdue au cours d'un

vous pouvez rencontrer lors de l'utilisation de votre
casque.

Aucun contact sonore entre le casque et
le téléphone

Le casque et le téléphone que vous employez doivent
être jumelés pour se reconnaître mutuellement.

Ils doivent également se trouver à portée l'un de
l'autre. Lors du jumelage, il est conseillé que le casque
et le périphérique utilisé ne soient pas éloignés de plus
de 1 mètre (sans obstacle physique interposé).

Le voyant lumineux du casque clignote
en rouge

Cela indique que le casque ne dispose plus que
d'un temps de parole et de veille limité. Chargez le
casque pendant une durée comprise entre 1 heure et
1heure30.

Aucune indication de chargement

Si vous chargez une batterie de casque vide, ou qui
n'a pas été utilisée depuis longtemps, vous devrez
éventuellement attendre quelques minutes avant que
le voyant n'indique que le chargement a commencé
(le voyant rouge s'allume en continu).

Certaines fonctions du casque ne

pour deux raisons :

• La batterie est trop faible. Le voyant lumineux du casque
clignote en rouge et vous entendez un faible bip.

Chargez la batterie du casque pendant une durée

comprise entre 1 heure et 1 heure 30.

Le casque Bluetooth est un éme tteur-récepteur radio. Lorsque vous
l'utilisez, il communique avec un dispositif mobile équipé de Bluetooth
en recevant et en ém ettant des champs él ectromagnétiqu es (mic ro-ondes)
haute fréquence (HF) dans la pl age de fréquences comprise entre 2 400 et
2 500 MHz. La puissa nce de sortie de l' émetteu r radi o est très faible, de
l'ordre de 0,001 Watt.

Votre casque Bluetooth est conçu pour respecter les directives et les
limites d'exposition à l'énergie HF définies pa r les organisations
nationales et i nternationales de santé, lorsqu'il est utilisé avec tout
téléphone mobile Sony Ericsson ou Ericsson compatible.

Sécurité routière

Renseignez-v ous sur la législation en vigueur concernant l'utilisation des
téléphones mobiles et des dispositifs mains libres dans les régions que
vous trav erse z.

Concentrez-vous toujours sur la route. Si les conditions routières
l'exi gent, rangez-vous sur l'accoteme nt et immobi lisez votre véhicule
avant d'émettre ou de recevoir un appel.

L'énergie HF peut perturber le fonctionnement de certains systèmes
électroniques de votre véhicul e comme le sy stème audio, les dispositifs
de sécurité, etc. Vérifiez auprès du constructeur automobil e si le
téléphone mobil e ou le casque Bluetooth ne risque pas de nuire au
fonctionneme nt de ces systèmes.

Equipement électronique

La plupart des équipements él ectroniques récents sont protégés contre
les fréquences radioélectriques . Toutefois, pour ne pas perturber des
équipements non protégés, respectez les recommandations suivantes :

N'utilis ez pas votre casque Bluetooth à proximité d'un appareil médi cal
sans en avoi r demandé l' autorisation. Si vous possédez un appareil
médical (un stimul ateur cardia que ou une prothèse auditive, par exemple),
lisez l e Guide d'utilisation de votre téléphone m obile pour obtenir
davantage d'inf ormations.

Sécurité aérienne

Mettez votre casque Bluetooth HORS TENSION avant de monter à bord
d'un avion. Pour évi ter que des parasites ne perturbent le f onctionnemen t
des systèmes de communication, n' utilisez pas v otre casque Bluetooth
pendant le vol.

Zones de dynamitage

Mettez tous vos appareils électroniques hors tension lorsque vous vous
trouvez dans une zone où la mise hors tension des radios émetteurs-
récepteurs est imposée. Les équipes de travail sur les chantiers de
construction se servent souvent de dispositif s HF à télécomm ande pour
déclencher l es explosions.

Zones à risque d'explosion

Mettez votre appareil électronique hors tension si vous vous trouvez

Source d'alimentation

Ne branchez l'adaptateur d'alimentation c.a. qu'à une source
d'alimentation désignée, tel qu'in diqué sur le produi t.
Pour diminuer les risques de dommages au cordon d'alimentation, retirez­le de la prise en tenant l'adaptateur c.a. plutôt que le cordon.
Veillez à ce que le cordon soit placé de telle sorte qu'il soit impossible de
marcher ou de trébucher dessus, ou encore de l'en dommager.
Pour réduire les risques d'électrocution, débranchez l'uni té de la source
d'alimentation avant de la nettoyer.
L'adaptateur d'alimentation c.a. ne doit pas être util isé à l'extérieur ou
dans des endroits h umides.
DANGER – N'altérez jamais la fiche ou le cordon c.a. Si la fiche ne

Protection des enfants

N'exposez pas la batterie à des températures extrêmes, jamais au-dessus
de +55° C. Pour assurer une capacité optimale de la batterie, utilisez-la à
température am biante. La capac ité de la batterie sera moindre si vous
l'util isez dans des conditi ons de température froides.

Le chargement de la b atterie n'est possibl e que lorsque la tempéra ture est
située entre +10° C et +45° C.

Recyclage de la batterie du casque Bluetooth

Ne vous débarrassez pas de la batterie du casque Bluetooth
inconsidérément. Ne la déposez jamai s dans une décharge municipal e. Le
partenaire de services Sony Ericsson retirant ou remplaçan t la batteri e
applique des procédures de mise au rebut conformes à la législation locale.

Garantie limitée

En vertu des conditions de cette limitation de garantie, Sony Ericsson
Mobile Com municati ons AB (Sony Eri csson), S-221 88 Lund, Suède,
garantit que ce produit est exempt de vices de conception, de matériau et

È possibile collegare la cuffia HBH-30 al telefono
portatile, al PC o a qualsiasi altro dispositivo con la

Guida introduttiva

Prima di iniziare a utilizzare la cuffia con un telefono o
con qualsiasi altro dispositivo, attenersi alle
indicazioni riportate di seguito.

• Caricare la batteria della cuffia. A tal fine, utilizzare
un caricabatteria Sony Ericsson.

• Abbinare la cuffia ad un dispositivo, ad esempio, ad
un telefono portatile.

Caricamento della batteria

La cuffia viene fornita con una batteria ricaricabile
incorporata. Al momento dell'acquisto la batteria non
è completamente carica. Prima di utilizzare la cuffia
per la prima volta, si consiglia di caricare completamente
la batteria (il colore della spia luminosa deve essere
verde).

• Quando la cuffia è accesa e la spia luminosa lampeggia
in colore rosso, significa che è necessario ricaricare la
batteria.

• Il tempo necessario per ricaricare la batteria è di circa
1 - 1,5 ore.

Per accendere la cuffia

• Tenere premuto finché non viene emesso un
breve segnale acustico a tonalità bassa seguito da un
altro breve segnale acustico a tonalità alta.
La spia luminosa della cuffia lampeggia in colore
verde. Se la batteria è scarica, la spia luminosa
lampeggia in colore rosso.

Nota: Per impostazione predefinita, la prima volta che
viene accesa, la cuffia è pronta all'abbinamento.

Per spegnere la cuffia

• Tenere premuto il pulsante finché non viene
emesso un breve segnale acustico a tonalità alta
seguito da un altro breve segnale acustico a tonalità
bassa. La spia luminosa della cuffia si spegne.

Abbinamento della cuffia ad un dispositivo

Prima di utilizzare la cuffia è necessario abbinarla a

Utilizzo della cuffia

Dopo aver abbinato la cuffia al telefono, è possibile
effettuare e ricevere chiamate utilizzando la cuffia. A
tal fine, la cuffia deve essere accesa e si deve trovare
all'interno del raggio di copertura del telefono (fino a
10 metri e senza nessun oggetto solido frapposto).

Se il telefono supporta la selezione vocale e tale
funzione è attivata, è possibile utilizzarla tramite
la cuffia.

Le istruzioni che seguono riguardano l'uso della
cuffia con un telefono Sony Ericsson o Ericsson con
tecnologia wireless Bluetooth incorporata o con un
telefono Sony Ericsson o Ericsson che dispone di un
adattatore telefonico Bluetooth Sony Ericsson.

Nota: Quando si usa la cuffia Bluetooth, controllare
sempre che la modalità operativa Bluetooth sia attiva
nel telefono.

Esecuzione delle chiamate

Quando la cuffia è collegata, le funzioni del telefono
rimangono comunque attive. È quindi possibile
effettuare chiamate dal telefono o dalla cuffia,
indifferentemente.

Per effettuare una chiamata utilizzando la
funzione di selezione vocale

1. Accertarsi che il telefono e la cuffia si trovino
all'interno del raggio di copertura. Premere .

2. Dopo il segnale acustico, pronunciare l'etichetta vocale
associata al numero che si intende chiamare.
Se si utilizza l'adattatore telefonico Bluetooth:
pronunciare il comando vocale dopo il segnale
acustico emesso dal telefono e non dopo quello emesso
dalla cuffia. Per sapere se il segnale acustico emesso
dal telefono è in relazione a quello emesso dalla cuffia,
effettuare una chiamata di prova utilizzando la
selezione vocale.

3. Per concludere la chiamata, premere il pulsante .
È anche possibile effettuare chiamate utilizzando la
tastiera o la rubrica del telefono, ad esempio per i
telefoni che non dispongono del supporto per la
selezione vocale.

possibile utilizzare i pulsanti della cuffia. Per la
gestione simultanea di più chiamate, consultare la
documentazione fornita con il telefono.

Per rifiutare una chiamata

• Quando si attiva la suoneria della cuffia, tenere
premuto fino a quando non viene emesso un
segnale acustico prolungato.

Per disattivare il microfono

• Per disattivare il microfono durante una chiamata,
premere brevemente i pulsanti e . Quando
il microfono è disattivato, viene emesso ripetutamente
un segnale acustico.

Stato della batteria della cuffia

La cuffia viene fornita con una batteria incorporata.

Risoluzione dei problemi

In questa sezione vengono descritti alcuni problemi
che potrebbero verificarsi utilizzando la cuffia.

Nessun contatto audio tra la cuffia e il telefono

La cuffia, per poter essere riconosciuta, deve essere
abbinata al telefono con il quale si desidera utilizzarla.

È inoltre necessario che cuffia e telefono siano entro
il raggio di copertura. Durante l'abbinamento, è
preferibile che la distanza fra la cuffia e il dispositivo
con cui la si utilizza non sia superiore al metro e non
vi siano oggetti solidi interposti.

La spia luminosa della cuffia lampeggia in
colore rosso

Ciò indica che la batteria della cuffia dispone ancora di
un tempo di autonomia limitato. Effettuare la ricarica
della batteria per circa 1-1,5 ore.

La spia luminosa non indica che la batteria è
in ricarica

Quando si ricarica una batteria completamente scarica
oppure inutilizzata per un lungo periodo di tempo, la
spia luminosa (luce rossa fissa) potrebbe accendersi
dopo alcuni minuti.

Se si nota che non sono disponibili tutte le funzionalità

La cuffia si spegne automaticamente

La cuffia si spegne automaticamente per due ragioni:

• La batteria è scarica. La spia luminosa della cuffia
lampeggia in rosso e viene emesso un segnale acustico
a tonalità bassa.

Ricaricare la batteria per circa 1 - 1,5 ore.

• La cuffia è stata sottoposta a una temperatura estrema.

Tenere la cuffia a temperatura ambiente per alcuni

minuti e riaccenderla.

Esposizione a energia di radiofrequenza

Questa cuffia Bluetooth è un dispositivo ricetrasmittente radio. Durante
l'uso, comunica con un dispositivo portatile Bluetooth ricevendo e
inviando segnali elettromagnetici in radiofrequenza (RF), ovvero
microonde, compresi nella gamma di frequenza tra 2400 e 2500 MHz.
La potenza di trasmissione impiegata è molto bassa, 0,001 Watt.

La cuffia Bluetooth è progettata per funzionare nel rispetto delle linee
guida e dei limiti relativi all'esposizione a RF stabiliti dalle autorità
nazionali e dagli enti sanitari internazionali, se utilizzata in abbinamento
a qualsiasi telefono portatile Sony Ericsson o Ericsson con essa
compatibile.

Guida

Attenersi alle leggi e alle disposizioni vigenti sull'uso dei telefoni
cellulari e dei dispositivi viva voce quando si guida.

Prestare sempre attenzione alla guida e, quando le condizioni lo consigliano,
portarsi in un'area di sosta prima di effettuare o ricevere una chiam ata.

Le emissioni di radiofrequenza possono interferire con la strumentazione
elettronica presente nei veicoli (autoradio, dispositivi di sicurezza,
eccetera). Verificare presso il distributore della marca della propria
automobile che l'uso del telefono portatile o della cuffia Bluetooth non
pregiudichi il corretto funzionamento della strumentazione elettronica di
bordo.

Altri dispositivi elettronici

La maggior parte delle apparecc hiature elettroniche moderne è schermata
contro le emissioni di radiofrequenza. Altre apparecchiature non lo sono.
Per questo motivo:

Non usare la cuffia Bluetooth in prossimità di apparecchiature medicali
senza che ciò sia consentito. Se si fa uso di dispositivi medicali a
impianto, ad esempio un pacemaker o un apparecchio acustico,
consultare la documentazione fornita con il telefono portatile per ulteriori
informazioni.

Aerei

Spegnere la cuffi a Bluetooth prima di salire in aereo. Per evitare
interferenze con i sistemi di comunicazione, non è consentito l'uso
della cuffia Bluetooth durante il volo.

Aree in cui si verificano esplosioni

Spegnere tutti i dispositivi elettronici qualora ci si trovi in un'area in
cui possono verificarsi esplosioni o i n cui sia segnalato di spegnere i
dispositivi ricetrasmittenti. Gli operai addetti al le costruzioni utilizzano
spesso apparecchi telecomandati a radiofrequenza per innescare gli
esplosivi.

Aree a rischio di esplosione

Spegnere il dispositivo elettronico qualora ci si trovi in un'area in cui
possono verificarsi esplosioni. Anche se raramente, i dispositivi
elettronici possono talvolta generare scintille che, in un ambiente di
tale tipologia, causerebbero un'esplosione o un incendio con gravi
conseguenze e danni a persone o cose.

Spesso, ma non sempre, le aree a rischio di esplosione sono segnalate
in modo chiaro.

Alimentazione elettrica

Collegare il trasformatore CA solo ai tipi di sorgente indicati sul prodotto.
Per ridurre il rischio di danni al cavo elettrico, estrarre il cavo dalla presa
tenendolo per il trasformatore e non tirandolo.
Assicurarsi che il cavo sia posizionato in modo tale da evitare di
calpestarlo o inciamparci o comunque di danneggiarlo o sottoporlo a
tensioni.
Per ridurre il rischio di scosse elettriche staccare l'unità dalla presa di
corrente prima di qualsiasi operazione di pul izia e utilizzare a tal fine
un panno morbido inumidito d'acqua.
Il trasformatore CA non va utili zzato all'aperto o in aree umide.
PERICOLO: Non modifi care mai il cavo o la spin a del trasformatore CA.
Se la spina non è adatta alla presa, rivolgersi a un elettric ista spe ciali zzato
per installare la presa adeguata. Una connessione non corretta potrebbe

Sony Ericsson consiglia di indossare la cuffia Bluetooth in posizione
tale da non subi re pressioni, in quanto questo può provocare danni alla
persona o al prodotto.
Verificare presso il distributore della marca della propria automobile
che il supporto per l'auto sia fissato in una posizione sicura.

Bambini

I bambini non devono giocare con la cuffia Bluetooth in quanto essa
contiene piccole parti che, staccandosi, comportano il rischi o di
soffocamento.

Chiamate di emergenza

IMPORTANTE

La cuffia Bluetooth e i l disposi tivo elettronico ad essa colle gato
utilizzano segnali radi o, reti cellul ari e di terra, funzioni programmate
dall'utente che non garantiscono il collegamento in tutte le condizioni.
Per questo motivo non è mai consigliabile fare affidamento
esclusivamente su un di spositivo elettronico per comunicazioni
importanti, ad esempio per emergenze mediche.
Per effettuare o ricevere chiamate è necessario che l'auricolare e i l
dispositivo elettronico ad esso coll egato siano accesi e che si trovino in
un'area coperta dal servizio in cui il segnale abbia intensità sufficiente.
Le chiamate di emergenza non sono possibili in alcune reti cellulari e
se sono attivi particolari servizi di rete e/o funzioni del telefono. Per
informazi oni al riguardo rivolgersi al forni tore del servizi o locale.

Informazioni sulle batterie

Nota: la batteria può essere sostituita o rimossa in modo corretto solo
dai Sony Ericsson Service Partner.

Se impiegata in modo corretto, una batteria ricaricabile può durare a lungo.

È possibile che una nuova batteria o una che non è stata usata per un
lungo peri odo di tempo abbi a una capacità ridotta nelle prime fasi di
utilizzo.

La batteria non va esposta a temperature elevate, ovvero superiori a
+55°C (131°F). Per ottenere prestazioni ottimali, util izzare la batteria a
temperatura ambiente. Se la batteria viene utilizzata a basse temperature,
la capacità può diminuire.

La batteria va caricata solo a temperature comprese tra +10°C e +45°C.

Riciclaggio della batteria della cuffia Bluetooth

La batteria della cuffia Bluetooth deve essere smal tita in m odo adeguato
e non insieme ai rifiuti domestici. Gli Sony Ericsson Service Partner
incaricati della rimozione e sostituzione delle batterie si occuperanno
dello smaltimento in conformità alle normative locali.

Garanzia limitata

In conformità alle condizioni della presente Garanzia Limitata, Sony
Ericsson Mobile Communications AB (Sony Ericsson), S-221 88 Lund,
Svezia garantisce che il prodotto al momento dell'acquisto, e per un
successivo periodo di un (1) anno, è privo di difetti di costruzione o
relativi ai materiali impiegati. Nel caso risultino necessarie riparazioni in
garanzia, restituire il prodotto al rivenditore presso il quale si è effettuato

Responsabilità

3. La presente garanzia non copre eventuali guasti dovuti all a normale usura
o a un uso non appropriato e non conforme al normale funzionamento
(indicato nelle istruzioni per l'uso e la manutenzione). Inoltre, la garanzia
