Design and Features
The Architectural Series bracket’s unique design allows it to actually become part of the wall or ceiling, so the speakers can be truly flush-mounted with their grilles perfectly aligned with the plane of the wall or ceiling surface.
Three different footprint sizes provide a sense of visual context for any size room. Each footprint size is available in three geometric forms (rectangular, round and square) that quietly compliment your room’s design elements.
Four different Architectural Finish Component options make it easy to choose a look for the speakers that suits your room’s design, and allow you to change the speakers’ look to keep up with changes in your room’s design:
– Paintable perforated metal with trim
– Paintable perforated metal without trim
– Paintable cloth with trim
– Paintable cloth without trim
The Z8 model is also available in a black or white Fascia version that has no grille.
Two different performance levels let you choose your desired level of audio performance: Z-series speakers feature reference-quality beryllium drivers; X-series speakers feature audiophile-quality carbon fiber drivers.
Cast aluminum baffles and woofer frames maintain precise tolerances and reduce resonances, delivering superior sound quality for a lifetime.
Pivoting drivers direct the speakers’ sound towards listeners for better performance in stereo and home theater installations.
Adjustable midrange and tweeter levels fine-tune the speakers’ performance for your room or your personal taste.

Architectural Finish Components
FINISH C
OMPONENT OPTIONS
There are four different types of Architectural Finish Components available:
All four types of Architectural Finish Components can be painted to match the wall or ceiling surface. Contact your Sonance Authorized Architectural Series Dealer/Installer for more information about painting Architectural Finish Components.
Performing Adjustments
Sonance Architectural Series Speakers’ pivoting drivers and midrange/tweeter level adjustments are located on the speaker baffle, behind the Architectural Finish Component. (On Z8F models the level adjustments are located behind the fascia.) These adjustments should have been performed by the Sonance Authorized Architectural Series Dealer/Installer before you took delivery of your speakers. Because proper installation of the Architectural Finish Component is critical to the overall look of the finished speaker installation, Sonance recommends that you not attempt to remove the Architectural Finish Component to perform these adjustments yourself.
If you change the room’s seating arrangement (which may require that the drivers be re-pivoted), or if you change the room’s decor (which may require a change in the midrange/tweeter level adjustments), Sonance recommends that you contact your Sonance Authorized Architectural Series Dealer/Installer. If you are unable to contact your Architectural Series Dealer/Installer, contact the Sonance Technical Assistance Department on any business day at (800) 582-0772 or (949) 492-7777 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pacific Time. They will instruct you on how to proceed.
