Please read this installation guide and these safety instructions carefully before you start installing this Somfy product. Strictly follow each instruction given and retain this guide for the lifetime of the product. This guide describes installation and set-up of this product. Any installation or use outside the scope of application deﬁned by Somfy is prohibited. Doing so would void the warranty and release Somfy of all liability, as would any failure to comply with the instructions given herein. Somfy cannot be held liable for any changes to norms and standards made aer publication of these instructions.

General safety instructions

• This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of this product by a person responsible for their safety.

• Do not allow children to play with this product.

• Never immerse this product into any liquid.

• Do not drop, puncture or disassemble this equipment; this will void the warranty.

• Do not expose the equipment to high temperatures or leave it exposed to direct sunlight.

Introduction

Used together with TaHoma®, this product provides:

• Added security

The Indoor Siren sounds an alert in the case of an intrusion in your home and deters burglars.

It can be adapted to your usage requirements thanks to:

- the adjustable volume: powerful 95 dB or discreet 65 dB

- and the clever design enabling it to be either ﬁxed into position permanently or easily detached & moved around in the home (indoor use only).

• More options for the Connected Home

The Indoor Siren notiﬁes you when a TaHoma® SMART programme is created (via beeps).

To summarize:

- Hung on the wall,

- ﬁxed to the ceiling,

- placed on an item of furniture,

- for your security

- or your connected home... = the Indoor Siren can be used the way you want!

• Depending on the use, make sure you choose a volume and a location that allow suﬃcient propagation of the sound alert.

• The only purpose of the Indoor Siren is to warn and reduce the risk of intrusion, not to guarantee its prevention.

Battery installation

- Open the rear panel of the Indoor Siren.

- Then position the batteries in the direction shown.

Do not replace the rear panel just yet.

Add to TaHoma

On the TaHoma® interface:

- Go to the Main menu .

- Click the Conﬁguration tab .

- Click the “IO” tab, then “Add”.

- Select “Devices”, then “Without remote control”.

- Follow the procedure shown.

Choose the volume

Choose the desired volume for use of the Indoor Siren: powerful 95 dB or discreet 65 dB.

From the same window as Add to TaHoma®: (Main menu / Conﬁguration / “IO” tab)

- Select the Indoor Siren, then “Conﬁgure”

- And choose the volume. You can change the volume if necessary following

the same procedure.

Installation

The Indoor Siren can be:

- ﬁxed permanently

- or easily detached & moved around the home

1/ Permanent ﬁxing

With screws (supplied)

• Place the not yet replaced rear panel in the desired position: 2 easy-pierce zones are provided.

• Screw through them to mark the hole locations.

• Then drill the wall and insert the plugs.

• Screw the rear panel ﬁrmly onto the wall.

• And close by replacing the Siren onto the rear panel.

Also possible with double-sided tape

(not supplied)

• Use double-sided tape suitable for the type of surface, and follow the instructions provided.

• Close the Indoor Siren unit by replacing the rear panel.

• Place the tape on the back, and stick it onto the support.

2/ Detachable & portable

Handy tip!

Hang the Indoor Siren like a picture!

- The hook hole on the back makes it easy to hang.

- It can also be detached and moved around in your home.

Hook hole:

• Close the Indoor Siren unit by replacing the rear panel.

• Drill just one hole in the wall at the desired location.

• Insert one of the plugs, then screw in a screw leaving a section extending out from the wall (to be used as a hook).

• And hook the Siren onto the screw, like a picture.

If necessary: It is possible to secure the Siren to prevent it turn-

ing: an adjustment slot is provided at the base of the back (b).

• Drill the wall at the corresponding location.

• And insert the remaining plug and screw.

• When attaching the Indoor Siren using the hook hole (a), it is also secured via the slot (b).

The Indoor Siren is now operational. It can be used to protect your home, or for SMART programmes.

Refer to the instructions on the TaHoma® interface or to its full user guide for further explanations.

Other information

Reset

To delete the Indoor Siren from TaHoma®:

- Open the rear panel of the Indoor Siren.

- Press and hold the “Prog” button for 10 s, then release it: the indicator light blinks.

Troubleshooting

To check that the Indoor Siren is operating correctly, it is possible to make it sound manually.

Test the Indoor Siren

- Open the rear panel of the Indoor Siren.

- Brieﬂy press (under 1 sec) the “Prog” button, then release it: the Siren sounds in discreet then powerful mode. The indicator light also lights up.

Test in TaHoma

This operation also lets you check correct wireless operation with TaHoma®.

- Connect to TaHoma®.

- Go to the Security or Home interface as desired.

- Open the Siren window by clicking its icon.

- And click the “Test” button: the Siren will either sound (powerful or discreet volume depending on the setting chosen) or emit a beep sound.

Introductie

In combinatie met TaHoma® gee dit product u:

• Meer veiligheid

De Binnensirene waarschuwt in geval van inbraak in uw woning en schrikt de inbrekers af.

Ze is aanpasbaar aan uw gebruik dankzij:

- het regelbare volume: krachtig 95 dB of discreet 65 dB

- en haar slimme ontwerp, dat het mogelijk maakt om ze ofwel vast te bevestigen, ofwel zo dat u ze gemakkelijk kunt losmaken en in huis verplaatsen (uitsluitend binnengebruik).

• Meer mogelijkheden voor het verbonden huis

De Binnensirene waarschuwt u tijdens de uitvoering van een SMART-programmering van TaHoma

(met de geluidssignalen).

Kortom:

- aan een wand opgehangen,

- aan een plafond bevestigd,

- op een meubel geplaatst,

- voor uw veiligheid

- of uw verbonden huis... = u kiest zelf hoe u de Binnensirene gebruikt!

• Kies afhankelijk van de toepassing een volume en een plaats die een goede verspreiding van het geluidsalarm mogelijk maken.

• De Binnensirene is op de eerste plaats en uitsluitend bedoeld om te waarschuwen en het risico van inbraak te beperken, niet om inbraak te beletten.

Batterijen plaatsen

- Open de achterzijde van de Binnensirene.

- Plaats de batterijen in de aangeduide richting.

Sluit de achterzijde nog niet.

De sirene toevoegen aan TaHoma

Op de interface van TaHoma®:

- Ga naar het hoofdmenu .

- Klik op de tab Conﬁguratie .

- Klik op de tab 'IO' en vervolgens op 'Toevoegen'.

- Selecteer 'Toepassingen' en vervolgens 'Zonder afstandsbediening'.

- Volg de procedure die wordt getoond.

Het volume kiezen

Kies het gewenste volume voor het gebruik van de Binnensirene: krachtig 95 dB of discreet 65 dB.

In hetzelfde venster als voor de toevoeging aan TaHoma®: (Hoofdmenu / Conﬁguratie / Tab 'IO')

- Selecteer de Binnensirene en daarna 'Instellen'

- En kies het volume. U kunt later het volume indien nodig op dezelfde manier

wijzigen.

Installatie

De Binnensirene kan:

- vast worden bevestigd,

- of gemakkelijk worden losgemaakt en in huis verplaatst

1/ Vaste bevestiging

Met de schroeven (bijgeleverd)

• Plaats de open achterzijde op de gewenste plaats: er zijn 2 gemakkelijk doorboorbare zones voorzien.

• Schroef door deze zones om de plaats voor de gaten aan te geven.

• Boor in de muur en plaats de pluggen.

• Schroef de achterzijde stevig vast.

• Sluit ze door de Binnensirene erop te bevestigen.

U kunt ook dubbelzijdige plakband in plaats van schroeven gebruiken

(niet bijgeleverd)

• Gebruik een voor deze steun geschikte dubbelzijdige plakband en volg de bijgeleverde voorschrien.

• Bevestig de Binnensirene op de achterzijde.

• Breng het plakband op de rug aan en plak de Binnensirene op de wand.

2/ Verwijderbaar en verplaatsbaar

Praktisch!

Hang de Binnensirene op als een schilderij!

- Dankzij het ophanggat in de rug kunt u ze gemakkelijk installeren.

- U kunt ze altijd verwijderen en in huis verplaatsen.

Ophanggat:

• Bevestig de Binnensirene op de achterzijde.

• Boor een enkel gat in de wand op de gewenste plaats.

•

Breng een van de pluggen aan, bevestig de schroef

maar draai ze niet volledig in de plug (ze dient als haak).

• Haak de sirene als een schilderij aan de schroef.

Indien nodig: U kunt de sirene vastzetten, om te voorkomen dat ze

draait: met dat doel is een inkeping onder aan de rug voorzien (b).

• Boor een gat in de muur op de overeenkomstige plaats.

• Plaats de resterende plug en schroef.

• Wanneer u de Binnensirene met het ophanggat (a) vasthaakt, wordt ze door de schroef in de inkeping (b) vastgehouden.

De Binnensirene is nu operationeel. Ze kan worden gebruikt om uw woning te beveiligen of voor de SMART-programmeringen.
