Thank you for purchasing the Soleus Air SA-550 Air Purifier. This
system is for people living with allergies, asthma, or other
respiratory conditions, or for anyone who wants cleaner, more
breathable air. The SA-550 effectively purifies air in rooms as large
as 550 square feet. Using a four-layer filtration system – HEPA
filter, Active Carbon filter, Ultra Meticulous filter, plus an ultra-violet
filter technology. It captures 99.97% of the tiniest, .1 micron
particles on level one, including allergy-provoking pollen, dust
mites, mold spores and pet dander.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Before you use your Air Purifier, please read this owner’s
manual carefully.

Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this
owner’s manual.

This portable air purifier must be properly installed in accordance
with the installation instructions before it is used.

Never unplug your Air Purifier by pulling on the power cord.
Always grasp the plug firmly and pull straight out from the outlet.

1) Repair or replace immediately, all electric service cords that
have become frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not use a cord
that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its length, the
plug or the connector end.

2) Unplug your Air Purifier before cleaning or before making any
repairs. NOTE: If for any reason this product requires service,

we strongly recommend that a certified technician perform the
service.

3) Do not operate your Air Purifier in the presence of explosive
fumes.

4) The power supply must be properly grounded.

5) Do not use an adapter plug or extension cord.

6) Do not use the unit in the immediate surroundings of a bath,
shower or swimming pool.

HOW TO OPERATE THE SA-550 AIR PURIFIER

A

CONTROL PANEL

On / Off Power button turns on the Air
Purifier

Power button turns on the Ultraviolet
Lamp

Press Fan button to select fan speed:
Auto, L-mild wind, M-moderate wind, H­strong wind

When fan speed is set on AUTO the air
purifier will adjust fan speeds according to
pollutant levels in the air.

AUTO setting will allow the purifying
system to remain idle when air has
reached purity. Then will operate when
air needs purifying again.

Timer setting allows you to set the unit to
run only for specific periods of time

quality of the air. Red light means poor
air quality, yellow light means fair air
quality, green light means superior air
quality.

FILTER

HEPA Silent technology makes the air purifying
system, SA-550 incredibly quiet.

The HEPA + active carbon filter, ultra meticulous +
photic catalyst filter and UV tube remove dust,
pollen, bacteria, pet dander, mold spores and other
airborne particles. To maximize filter
effectiveness, particles are negatively charged
before reaching the filters.

The enhanced active carbon filter eliminates
gaseous pollutants such as cigarette and cigar
smoke or other volatile organic compounds such
as most household paints.

Ultra violet technology with photic catalyst kills
bacteria. Patented filter system detects and kills
bacteria in the air. This is similar to the technology
found in large units in the hospital.

For optimal performance, we recommend that
you replace the air purifying filters every six
months if you use the air purifier 8hrs/day.

Changing the Filter

1) Unplug the unit before changing the filters.
Unscrew the two sides of the filters; firmly lift
off the lid on the top of unit.

PROPER CARE AND CLEANING

To avoid electrical shock, always unplug your air purifier
before cleaning. Ignoring this warning may result in injury.

Never clean with gasoline, chemical solvents or corrosive
materials – they may damage the surface.

1) When changing filter, vacuum the inside grill
after filter has been removed

2) Wipe the exterior with a soft, clean, damp
cloth.

3) Vacuum the small inlets with a soft brush
attachment

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Soleus International Inc. warrants the accompanying Soleus Air
SA-550 Air Purifier to be free of defects in material and
workmanship for the applications specified in its operating
instruction for a period of ONE (1) year from the date of original
retail purchase in the United States or Canada.

If the air purifier exhibits a defect in normal use, Soleus
International Inc. will, at its option, either repair or replace it, free of
charge within a reasonable time after the air purifier is returned
during the warranty period.

As a condition to any warranty service obligation, the consumer
must present this Warranty Certificate along with a copy of the
original purchase invoice.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

1) Damage, accidental or other wise, to the air purifier while in
the possession of a consumer not caused by a defect in
material or workmanship;

2) Damage caused by consumer misuse, tampering, or failure
to follow the care and special handling provisions in the
instructions.

3) Damage to the finish of the case, or other appearance
parts caused by wear.

4) Damage caused by repairs or alterations of the air purifier
by anyone other than authorized by Soleus International
Inc.

5) Freight and Insurance cost for the warranty service.

EVENT SHALL SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL INC.’S LIABILITY
EXCEED THE RETAIL VALUE OF AIR PURIFIER FOR BREACH
OF ANY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED WARRANTY WITH RESPECT
