All New – Higher Capacity and Functionality Siemens has developed the all new Sinumerik 808D for performing a full
range of milling applications – from simple to complex. It was brought into the Siemens Control product line with the
idea of having this new more powerful, faster system to replace the Sinumerik 802S over time.
Easy Integration and Operation
The machine control panel is connected uses a simple plug & play USB port, and is equipped with the same
ergonomically designed override rotary switches as on the high-end CNCs. The USB port on the front of the control
panel makes transferring part programs and tooling data easy.
PC Based Machining Simulation Software Program Included – Great Training tool and Programming
Aid
When purchasing this machine, you will also be provided with Siemens 808D on PC. This software program,
Siemens 808D on PC can be used as a training tool and as a machining simulation program. It allows users to
program work pieces on a PC and then run a full parts machining simulation offline. New users can learn
programming more easily and experienced operators can prepare programs ahead of time and determine if
there are corrections that need to be addressed before going to the machine.
Full Siemens Functionality – Including Mdynamics
Even though the Sinumerik 808D is the smallest in the Sinumerik family, it still comes standard with Mdynamics.
Mdyamics is an intelligent path control generator with a “look ahead” function that allows optimized motion control. In
other words, productivity increases and surface finishes are greatly improved. Couple Mdynamics with closed speed
and positional control loop and you end up with an extremely fast and accurate machining center. With powerful
microprocessing and optimized cycles, CNC performance is increased even further.
