Push the refrigerated drawer to close it so that it is not damaged when the refrigerator door is closed.
EN
The drawer may freeze if foods with a high-moisture content are stored in it.
Fruit and vegetable drawer with Bio Care Zone
The effectiveness of the platinum catalyst in the Bio Care system enables it to preserve the freshness and nutritional properties of fruit and vegetables.
The platinum catalyst neutralises odours and the ethylene released from the food turns into carbon dioxide to preserve its freshness.
Carbon dioxide prevents the loss of nutrients and helps to keep vegetables fresh for longer.
2
The drawer can be used to store meat and fish before freezing them.
If you wish to keep meat or fish for longer periods, it is recommended to store it in the freezer compartment.
1
1. Use the handle (1) to make it easier to
open the drawer.
2. Arrange the fruit, vegetables and bags
without covering the humidifier (2) to avoid the formation of condensation.
53
Page 21
Use
3. Use a soft cloth to remove the condensation.
Improper use
Risk of damages to the appliance
• Do not remove the humidifier from the fruit and vegetable drawer.
• Do not obstruct the humidifier with bags or containers in order to prevent the formation of excessive condensation.
Condensation around the drawer and on the surface of vegetables is normal because of the large amount of moisture inside the fruit and vegetable drawer.
If the door is opened frequently or there is a lot of moisture in the refrigerator, condensation may form on the handle.
Package the foods if you prefer to have no condensation.
If you only store a small amount of food, it is recommended to pack it as it is not possible to maintain a high level of humidity.
“Easy twist” ice maker
Improper use
Risk of damages to the appliance

3.6 Using the refrigerator compartment
Arranging foods
Arrange the foods on the various shelves, making sure that they have an airtight wrapping or cover. This precaution ensures that:
• The flavour, moisture and freshness of the foods are preserved
• Any contamination of foods with odours or tastes from other foods can be avoided
• The level of humidity inside the refrigerator does not become too high as a result of the normal transpiration of food (especially fresh fruit and vegetables). Under some operating conditions (an increase in room temperature and humidity, a more frequent opening of the door) this might cause condensation to form on the shelves.
• Leave a space between the foods is left. The flow of cold air could be hindered if the foods are placed too close to one other.
• Allow food to cool down before placing it in the refrigerator. Placing food that is still warm into the refrigerator raises the internal temperature and wastes energy.
• Do not obstruct the cold air outlet slot as this will affect the circulation of cold air and cause the internal temperature to become irregular. Food close to the slot may freeze.
3.7 Food storage advice
Practical energy saving advice
• Correct use of the appliance, correct packaging of foodstuffs, a constant temperature and food hygiene have significant effects on the quality of storage.
• Reduce the number of times that the doors are opened and the length of time they remain open to prevent the compartments from heating up excessively.
• Clean the condenser (rear of the refrigerator) periodically to prevent the appliance from losing efficiency.
• Reduce the Coldest function times only when strictly necessary.
• Defrost frozen food in the refrigerator compartment in order to make use of the cold stored in the frozen foods.
General advice
• Always check the expiry date on the food packaging.
• The foodstuffs must be stored in closed or pre-packaged containers and must not be able to emit or absorb moisture and odours.
• Remove perishable products from the appliance if you are going away for a long period.
Refrigerator compartment door
• Keep eggs, butter, cheese etc. in the upper and central part.
• Keep drinks, bottles, cans etc. in the lower part.
58
Page 26
Use
Refrigerator compartment
• Keep conserves, wine, biscuits etc. in the upper part.
• Keep dairy products, ready meals, pastries, fruit juices, beer etc. in the central part.
• Keep meats, cold cuts etc. in the lower part.
• Keep fresh and tropical fruit, vegetables, greens, carrots, potatoes and onions in the fruit and vegetable drawer.
Freezer compartment
• The type of food, quantity and date of freezing should be marked on the container/packaging.
• Use small containers, if possible already cold.
• The quantity of fresh foods which can be frozen at the same time is listed on the nameplate inside the refrigerator compartment.
• Use suitable freezer bags, tinfoil, clingfilm for use with food, and freezer containers.
• Do not use paper bags, transparent films for non-food use, shopping bags or used freezer bags.
• Avoid frozen food coming into contact with fresh food to be frozen.
Advice regarding the use of the door flap
• Do not hold onto the door flap when you open or close the left hand side door. The other parts may fall.
• The flap closes automatically every time the door is opened. The flap is open when the door is closing.
• The flap is fitted with a heater to prevent condensation. The flap is warm because of the heater.

• Condensation may form on the outside of the refrigerator when the temperature is set to “Coldest”. Set it to “Normal”. Use a soft cloth to remove the condensation.
Condensation forms inside the appliance:
• Remove the condensation with a dry cloth.
• The door is not closed tightly.
• The door is opened and closed too often or is kept open for too long.
• High external humidity.
• A large number of vegetables with a high water content are being stored.
• Make sure that the packaging of the foods is not trapped between the door and the door seal so as not to create a gap when the door is closed.
• The humidity in the fruit and vegetable drawer is higher than in the other drawers. This is not a defect.
• Wrap the vegetables in cling film to prevent condensation. If condensation forms frequently, water is likely to have built up inside the fruit and vegetable drawer. Use a dry cloth to remove the water.

Cleaning and maintenance
Ice present in the freezer compartment:
• The door is opened and closed too often or is kept open for too long.
• Make sure that the packaging of the foods is not trapped between the door and the door seal so as not to create a gap when the door is closed.
• Ice was produced using an ice tray different to the one supplied with the appliance.
• There are many containers with water or liquids present in the freezer compartment. The liquids could evaporate and turn into ice and settle on the walls or parts of the freezer compartment or around the air ducts. Use a lid to prevent evaporation and the formation of ice. Use a dry cloth to remove any ice.
• When the door is opened frequently or if it is opened when the humidity around the refrigerator is high, the moisture in the air may turn into ice or frost on the inside wall or parts of the freezer compartment or around the air ducts. This is not a defect.
Unpleasant odours inside the appliance:
• Foods with strong odours have not been packaged.
The refrigerator is noisy:
• Make sure that the refrigerator has been installed in a stable position.
• The refrigerator is touching the wall.
• A gurgling noise that resembles the sound of flowing or boiling water is due to the coolant in the refrigeration circuit.
• A cracking sound coming from the compartment is caused by the friction of the parts due to the change in temperature.
The control panel does not respond:
• The “Child lock” mode has been selected.
• The door of the refrigeration compartment is open.
• You are wearing gloves or your hand is in a cast or plaster. Touch the panel directly with your fingers.
• The control panel is wet or dirty.
• Multiple buttons are being pressed at the same time. Touch one button at a time.
The control panel is switched off:
• Approximately 30 seconds after the end of the operations, the LED indicator lights turn off (except for the ECO and Dual Fan mode LEDs). This is not a malfunction.

Cleaning and maintenance
The surface of the refrigerator is warm:
• The refrigerator is fitted with a condensation prevention system and heat radiation pipes.
• The rear and side panels may be particularly hot when the appliance is started up or if the door is open and closed frequently.
• The two compartments are connected by an air duct. When one of the doors is closed, the other may open due to the air pressure inside the duct. This is normal.
The LED lamp inside the refrigerator compartment has to be replaced:
• Have it replaced by a Service Centre.
There are undulations and / or deformations on the surface of the door, the side and the top of the refrigerator:
• Small undulations and deformations can be generated during the refrigerator manufacturing process. They may appear more or less accentuated according to the position of the light sources or the brightness of the environment, but they do not affect the performance in any way.
Condensation forms when warm, moist air comes into contact with something cold. For example, if you put ice in a glass, the air around the glass cools and condensation forms on the outer surface of the glass.
In the same way, when hot, damp air enters the refrigerator when the door is opened it comes into contact with the cold inside wall forming a small amount of condensation.
If the door is opened frequently or for a long time, condensation will build up each time. In some cases, the condensation may turn into ice in the freezer compartment.
