TigerStack III™ 24-Port 10/100 Stackable Managed Switch with POE
www.smc.com
The SMC TigerStack III SMC6824MPE switch provides wire speed 10/100 Fast Ethernet switching specifically designed for enterprise workgroup environments. This switch boasts advanced Quality of Service features that can reduce the latency of packets through the network, with specific traffic prioritization improving the delivery of converged data such as voice and high quality video over IP. The SMC6824MPE
has great deployment flexibility, with 802.3af POE support on all 10/100 ports, dual combo expansion ports to support either an RJ-45 10/100/1000 port or an open Mini-GBIC slot (for use with mini-GBIC transceivers) and stacking support of up to eight stacked units. Stacking reduces network management complexity by allowing up to 192 Fast Ethernet ports to be managed as a single entity.
FEATURES
High port density with gigabit and Mini-GBIC options
802.3af Power over Ethernet
Stackable up to 8 units
System and Port Security
IEEE802.1P Priority Queuing
IEEE802.1Q VLAN with GVRP
IGMP Snooping
Rate Limiting
Supports 24 10/100Mbps 802.3af POE ports and 2 combo expansion ports to support either an RJ-45 10/100/1000 port or an open Mini-GBIC slot for use with mini-GBIC transceivers
Supports PoE on all 10/100 ports to enable easy connection of 802.3af enabled devices.
Facilitate network management with up to 192 ports under single IP to create a virtual stack
Using RADIUS, SSL, SSH, prevent unauthorized access and secure connection
Support for four levels of priority, with weighted fair queuing-ensures smooth transmission of mission critical data
Support VLANs based on frame tags or ports, plus support for automatic GVRP LAN registration--provides maximum security and bandwidth efficiency
Only allows IP Multicast traffic transmission to the registered members, resulting bandwidth savings--reduce IP multicast traffic and increase LAN performance
Basic network bandwidth control to ensure smooth operation
