Fax Modem Installation CD is an All-In-One installation utility for both internal and external
Data, Fax, Voice/Fax and Voice/Fax with Speaker Phone Analog Modems. It automatically
detects and installs recently installed modem hardware under Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
This utility includes Install Driver, Install Software Utilities, User Manual and Readme four
sections. Click Install Driver to start analog modem device driver installation process. Install
Software Utilities includes “FAXTALK Communicator SE” (all modem software driver
installation program) and Adobe Reader. User Manual includes this user’s manual and specs
for all modems this utility supports. Readme includes modem software driver locations and
modem hardware installation instructions.

2. Hardware Installation Instructions
2.1 PCI Interfaced Analog Modem Card
1) Open PC case and insert PCI Card into an available PCI slot.
2) Close PC case, and then plug one end of RJ-11 cables into modem’s LINE jack and the
other end into telephone wall jack.

3. Software Driver Installation
Insert FAX Modem Installation CD into CD-ROM drive then window below will appear.
Install Driver: Click Install Driver to start analog modem installation process.
Install Software Utilities: Install Software Utilities includes “FAXTALK Communicator SE”
(all modem software driver installation program), and Adobe Reader (Version 6.0 for Windows
2000 and Version 8.0 for Windows XP/Vista).
User Manual: User Manual includes this user’s manual and specs for all modems this utility
supports.
Readme: Readme includes modem software driver locations and modem hardware installation
instructions.
Step 1:When Windows boots up, operation system will detect the LAN card and Found New
Hardware window will appear. Click Cancel.

Step 2: Insert Fax Modem installation CD into CD-ROM drive. The installation CD will
auto-run and show the main screen as below.
Step 3: Click Install Driver to start the modem installation, window below will appear.
Step 4: After Fax Modem Installation Utility finishes installing corresponding analog modem
device driver, window below will appear. Click OK to complete the installation
process.

Step 5: Click Exit to close FAX Modem Installation Utility.
