Installation

Follow the 6 steps below for connection to your AT&T 843, 853, 854,
874, 953 and 954 phones.
Make sure the audio cable has the right plug for the AS-703-A
!
(male phono or RCA). Make sure you are NOT using a "Dubbing" audio cord.

Try repgrogramming the station ID's for each of the phones, start
!
with 22 and go down from there.
Phone
1. Connect cord from L1&L2 on phone, to 1,2&3 OUT on AS703.
3. Connect cord from 1,2&3 IN on AS703 to Phone Jack #1.
6. Connect audio cable from AS-703 to Audio Source.

4. Connect cord from 3&4 IN on AS703 to Phone Jack#2.

5. Plug AS703 into 120VAC wall outlet.

Operation

Once the AS-703-A is connected it will set itself up as you start to use your phones. The unit will play music to all calls that are placed ON HOLD. Make sure that you adjust the level of the music to the proper level on the audio source.

No Audio But The Lights Turn On The AS-703-A

Make sure the Message Source is playing.

Make sure the Message Source volume is turned up.

Make sure that the audio cable is connected from the headphone
!
jack on the Message Source, to the AUDIO IN jack on the AS­703-A.

Music does not always shut OFF or turn ON.

Re-program the STATION ID number in EACH telephone. This
!
can be done as follows:
1- The phone MUST be "ON HOOK" to program it.
2- Press the 3- Press *.
4- Press #.
5- Press xx. xx equals a two digit STATION ID code. Each phone
has to have a different code. Codes can range from 22 to 11. Always start with 22 and work down.

If the phone accepts the STATION ID it will confirm by RINGING one time. If it keeps ringing, this indicates that the ID is already being used by another phone. In this case re-enter a new STATION ID code.
NOTE: If the phones loose power for 5 seconds or more, they will loose their STATION ID numbers. You can put 4 AA batteries in the phones to hold this information and protect it against power failures. Look on the bottom of the phone for the battery compartment access.

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

This SKUTCH PRODUCT is warranted against defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of the original invoice. Within this period, we will repair it without charge for parts and labor. To obtain warranty service the product must be returned, at the customer's expense, to SKUTCH Electronics along with a copy of the original invoice. After the unit has been repaired, SKUTCH will ship the PRODUCT back via UPS GROUND service at our expense. If any other form of return shipment is requested, the customer will pay for 100% of the shipping cost.
This Warranty does not apply if in the sole opinion of SKUTCH Electronics, the PRODUCT has been damaged by lightning or any other Acts of God, or by accident, misuse, neglect, or improper packing, shipping, modification or servicing by other than an authorized SKUTCH Service Center.
EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITIES OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND IN NO EVENT SHALL SKUTCH ELECTRONICS BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR BENEFITS, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER SIMILAR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE.
