Carpet Sampling Cassette Kit

Sample carpet for indoor contaminants such as molds, pollens, and dust mites.
Each kit includes Carpet Casse e with disposable template, Luer adapter, zip bag,
and label.

Sampling
Review pump operating instructions before sampling.
1. Calibrate the pump to
10 L/min. Detach the
flowmeter once desired
fl ow rate is set.
2. Remove the red plugs
from a Carpet Casse e.
3. Insert the tubing adapter
Luer into the tubing.
Connect the cassette to
the adapter.
4. Place the supplied paper
template fl at on the area
to be sampled.
Note: It is recommended that you select
a place away from major traffi c, but not
under furniture.
5. Turn on the pump and begin
“vacuuming” the entire area within
the template using a back and forth
side-to-side motion. Then repeat
vacuuming in an up and down cross
direction. Vacuum as deeply into the
pile as possible.
6. A er the desired sample has been taken, replace the red plugs on the casse e
and send to a laboratory for analysis.
