
Description
The SKC Grab Air Sample Pump is an economical choice for grab-and-go bag
sampling. Grab Air operates at a fi xed fl ow rate of 1 L/min for up to 1000 liters
volume on one 9-volt ba ery. Simply a ach a sample bag to the outlet port and
turn on the pump. Simple, quick, economical — Grab Air.

Operation
1. Check ba ery. If the low ba ery LED on the pump is lit, insert a fresh 9-volt
alkaline ba ery.
a. Remove four case screws and remove the pump faceplate.
b. Remove the old ba ery, insert the new ba ery, replace the faceplate, and
secure with case screws.
Before use, allow pump to equilibrate after moving it from one temperature
extreme to another.
2. A ach PTFE tubing to the exhaust fi ing on the top of the pump. A ach the
free end of the tubing to the inlet valve on the sample bag. See bag operating
instructions for details on operation of bag fi ing(s).

3. Slide the pump's On/Off switch to On.

4. Sample until the bag is fi lled properly.

5. Slide the pump's On/Off switch to Off .
6. Disconnect the tubing by pulling it straight up and off the pump inlet, close
the bag inlet valve, identify the sample, and send to a laboratory for analysis.
The pump should be purged after bag sampling. To purge the pump, run
it for several minutes in a clean air environment. If the contaminant is
hazardous, take all necessary safety precautions.
To avoid breaking the pump inlet fi tting, pull tubing straight up and off
the pump inlet. Do not remove tubing from inlet at an angle.
