GENERAL ADVICE
This appliance is destined only to the heating of domestic or similar environments and in compliance with these instructions. It can be considered only a supplementary source of heating and not as a central heating element. The appliance must not be used in dusty environments or in the presence of extremely volatile materials which could obstruct grids or heat exchanger, nor in very damp environments, in the presence of infl ammable products, or out of doors in the open. Any other use is to be considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for eventual damage caused by inappropriate, improper or irresponsible use and/or for repairs made to the product by unauthorized personnel.
This stove is a radiant appliance the elements of which are visibly incandescent and exceed a temperature of 650°C; the appliance gets hot when working; so only touch the handle and plastic switch. Avoid contact with the heating element. The fi reguard of this heater is intended to prevent direct access to heating elements. The protection system (front grid) of this heating device has been designed to prevent direct access to the heating elements and must be maintained in its position during use of the apparatus heating. The protection system does not guarantee full protection to children and the infi rm.
Ensure that the appliance never comes into contact with water or other liquids. If this should happen, never immerse hands in the liquid but remove the plug from the socket fi rst of all. Dry the appliance carefully and check that all the electric parts are dry. If in doubt, call a qualifi ed expert.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• The appliance must be kept out of children's reach.
Attention: when using electric appliances, the basic safety precautions must always be observed to avoid risks of fi re, electric shocks and physical injury.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use.
The fi reguard of this heater is intended to prevent direct access to heating elements and must be in place when the heater is in use, but the fi reguard does not give full protection for young children and for infi rm person.
• That the user must not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the supply.
• Never use the radiator to dry damp garments.
• Do not touch the heater with wet hands or feet.
Do not expose the heater to the weather (sun, rain, etc.). After switching on or off the appliance, it is possible to hear a light noise (click) due to the heating or the cooling of the appliance. This is normal and it does not indicate a bad working.
If the appliances falls or works badly, disconnect the electrical cable immediately. Check

that no part is damaged and switch it on after these controls: in case of doubt, contact professionally qualifi ed persons.
Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance to unplug the appliance from the electric socket.
If the cord or any other part is damaged, you must contact any SINGER Service Center or SINGER Client Service.
The partial or total non-respect of the safety instructions in the present manual will automatically release Singer of any type of responsibility in case of malfunction of the machine or injuries to persons or animals.
• In case of manipulation, repairing or any modifi cation of the machine made by unqualifi ed persons or in case of improper use, the guarantee will be automatically cancelled.
This symbol shows: ATTENTION: do not cover the appliance when it is operating to
avoid the risk of fi res.
INSTALLATION
After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the appliance; if you are unsure, do not use it and ask for qualifi ed professional help. The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources of danger; but dispose of them in accordance with current law.
• Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage shown on the data plate matches that of your electricity (230V~ 50hz), and that the electric plug is grounded. In the event of incompatibility between the electric outlet and the plug of the appliance, have the outlet replaced with another more suitable type by professionally qualifi ed personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of the outlet is appropriate for the absorbed power of the appliance. In general, the use of adapters or extension cords is not recommended; if their use is indispensable, they must conform to existing safety standards and their current capacity (amperes) must not be less that the maximum of the appliance.
• Position the appliance far from other sources of heat, infl ammable materials (curtains,
carpets, etc.), infl ammable gases or explosive materials (spray cans) and from materials that can deform on exposure to heat. Make sure that there is 100 cm of free space in front of the appliance and 50 cm on the sides. Do not use the heater in places where it could be subject to shocks in the immediate vicinity of a bathtub, shower or swimming pool to avoid drops of water falling on the heater or the heater falling in the water: If the appliance should accidentally get wet or be submerged in water, remove the plug from the supply socket immediately and dry the unit carefully. Check that no liquid has gone inside and if in doubt, contact professionally qualifi ed personnel.
Warning: this symbol indicates the anti-tipping switch. If any buttons have been pressed, the appliance will start to function immediately.

Stand the appliance on a horizontal, fl at surface or table; do not stand on a inclined plane (the appliance could upset). Make sure the safety system get in touch with the fl oor, otherwise the appliance doesn’t work.
Make sure that the cable is correctly positioned, that it is not touching hot elements or sharp edges, is not wound around the utensil, is not twisted up on itself or in the way to prevent the utensil from being pulled over. Check that you cannot trip over to prevent accidental falls or harm to persons.
• The appliance must not be positioned immediately under a socket.
The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in case of emergency.
Do not use the appliance with a timer or a programmer or with a system that can switch on the appliance automatically, to avoid risk of fi re, since a fi re risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
All repairs should be made by a competent qualifi ed electrician. In any case you should return the appliance to this service.
