IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1. Please read these operating instructions through carefully before connecting your kettle to

the power supply. In order to avoid damage due to incorrect use.

2. Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to faults on the appliance and injuries to the user.

3. The appliance is designed for household use only .

4. Unplug the appliance from power supply when not in use.

5. Keep the base unit away from damp and protect from splashes.

6. Do not immerse the unit cord or plug in water or other liquids. If this should occur, remove

the plug immediately and then have the unit checked by an expert before using it again.

7. Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug show signs of damage. If the appliance has fallen on the floor, take the appliance to a specialist for checking and repair if necessary.

8. Ensure that the cord does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.

9. Only pull it out of the power supply by the plug, not by the cord.

10. Place the appliance on a stable surface, away from hot objects (e.g. hot plates), naked

flames; do not place under curtains or low wall-cupboards

11. You should never leave the appliance unattended during use.

12. This appliance is not intended for use by person (including children) with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

13. Use the kettle only with the base unit supplied, and do not use the base unit for any other purposes.

14. Never remove the kettle from its base unit while in operation. Switch the appliance off first.

15. Take care to close the lid properly before switching on. Otherwise, the appliance will not

switch off automatically and hot water may overflow.

16. The kettle is only meant for heating water. Do not use it to heat up soup or any other liquids.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

1. Remove all packing materials from the kettle.

2. Before connecting the kettle check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds

to the mains voltage in your home.

3. Fill the kettle with cool water up to the “MAX” mark and boil it. Empty the water from the kettle. The appliance is ready for use.

FILTER PLACING

1. Open the lid by pressing on the lid release button.

2. Place the filter between the two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.

3. Ensure that the filter is pressed down to the bottom of the grooves and fits correctly, then

close the lid. Never leave the filter loose in the kettle. Never remove the filter while the kettle contains hot water.

FILLING

1. Remove the kettle from the base unit.

2. You can fill the kettle with water via the spout or by opening the lid, by pressing on the lid

release button.

3. Not recommended to fill with less than 1liter of water to prevent the kettle from running dry.

4. Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum lever indication. Avoid overfilling to prevent the

water from spilling out during the boiling process.

SWITCHING ON

1. After filling your kettle with water, place the kettle on the base unit.

2. Connect plug to power supply and pull down the On/Off switch. The appliance will begin to

operate and the indicator light will come on.

SWITCHING OFF

When the water has reached boiling points, the kettle will switch off automatically and the indicator light will go off. NOTE: This appliance has a safety system, which automatically switches off the heater element if the appliance is inadvertently switched on when empty, or if it boils dry. In this case, let the appliance cool down completely, before filling with water again.

SWITCHING ON AGAIN

The kettle can be switched on again after cooling down for about 15-20seconds, after the kettle has been switched off automatically.

CARE AND CLEANING

1. Always remove the plug from the power supply and let the appliance cool down completely.

2. Clean the outside of the kettle and the base unit with a soft damp cloth. Then wipe with a dry

cloth. Do not use scouring.

3. Descale at regular intervals. Use a descaling agent, which can be obtained from specialist shops and follow the instructions given.

FILTER CLEANING

1. Remove the filter out of the kettle.

2. Place under a tap and rub gently.

3. Replace the filter between the two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.

STORAGE

The cord could be winded into the base unit that has a cord storage compartment.

MESURES DE PROTECTION IMPORTANTES

1. Veuillez lire attentivement ces instructions d'utilisation en entier avant de brancher la

bouilloire à l'alimentation. Afin d'éviter les dommages causés par une mauvaise utilisation.

2. Une mauvaise utilisation et manipulation pourraient causer des pannes sur l'appareil et des blessures sur l'utilisateur.

3. L'appareil est conçu uniquement pour un usage domestique.

4. Débranchez l'appareil lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé.

5. Veillez à ce que l'unité de base soit protégée de l'humidité et des éclaboussures.

6. Ne trempez pas le cordon ou la fiche d'alimentation de l'appareil dans de l'eau ou autres

liquides. Si cela survient, enlevez immédiatement la fiche puis faites-la vérifier par un expert avant de l'utiliser à nouveau.

7. Ne mettez pas l'appareil en marche si le cordon ou la fiche d'alimentation présente des signes d'endommagement. Si l'appareil a subi une chute, apportez-le chez un spécialiste pour vérification et réparation si nécessaire.

8. Assurez-vous que le cordon ne pende pas au dessus des angles pointus et tenez-le loin des surfaces chaudes.

14. Ne retirez jamais la bouilloire de son unité de base lorsqu'elle est en marche. Débranchez d'abord l'appareil.

15. Veillez à ce que le couvercle soit correctement fermé avant de débrancher. Dans le cas contraire, l'appareil ne se débranchera pas automatiquement et de l'eau chaude pourrait déborder.

16. La bouilloire est conçue uniquement pour chauffer de l'eau. Ne l'utilisez pas pour chauffer les sauces ou tout autre liquide.

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION

1. Enlevez tous les matériaux d'emballage de la bouilloire.

2. Avant de brancher la bouilloire, vérifiez que la tension indiquée sur la plaque signalétique

correspond à votre tension de secteur

3. Remplissez la bouilloire d'eau froide jusqu'à la marque « MAX » et faites-la bouillir. Videz la bouilloire d'eau. L'appareil est prêt à l'utilisation.

INSTALLATION DU FILTRE

1. Ouvrez le couvercle en appuyant sur le bouton d'ouverture du couvercle.

2. Placez le filtre entre les deux rainures situées à côté du bec sur la partie avant de la bouilloire.

3. Veillez à ce que le filtre soit appuyé vers le bas jusqu'au fond des rainures et correctement

fixé, puis fermez le couvercle. Ne laissez jamais le filtre non fixé dans la bouilloire. Ne retirez jamais le filtre lorsque la bouilloire contient de l'eau chaude.

REMPLISSAGE

1. Séparez la bouilloire de l'unité de base.

2. Vous pouvez remplir la bouilloire d'eau à partir du bec ou en ouvrant le couvercle par une

pression sur son bouton d'ouverture.

3. Il est recommandé de ne pas remplir la bouilloire avec une quantité d'eau inférieure à 1litre, afin d'éviter l'assèchement de la bouilloire.

4. Ne remplissez jamais la bouilloire au delà du niveau maximal d'indication. Évitez de remplir l'appareil à l'excès afin que l'eau ne déborde pas pendant le processus d'ébullition.

MISE SOUS TENSION

1. Après avoir rempli votre bouilloire d'eau, placez-la sur l'unité de base.

2. Connectez la fiche à l'alimentation et tirez le bouton Marche/Arrêt vers le bas. L'appareil se

met en marche et le voyant s'allume.

MISE HORS TENSION

Lorsque l'eau a atteint le point d'ébullition, la bouilloire se met au automatiquement hors tension et le voyant s'éteint. REMARQUE : Cet appareil est doté d'un système de sécurité qui met automatique l'élément chauffant hors tension si l'appareil est sous tension par inadvertance lorsqu'il est vide, ou s'il s'assèche au cours du processus. Dans ce cas, laissez-le refroidir complètement avant de le remplir d'eau à nouveau.

MISE SOUS TENSION À NOUVEAU

La bouilloire peut être à nouveau mise sous tension après refroidissement pendant environ 15 à 20 secondes, après la mise hors tension automatique.

ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE

1. Déconnectez toujours la fiche de l'alimentation et laissez l'appareil refroidir complètement.

2. Nettoyez l'extérieur de la bouilloire et l'unité de base à l'aide d'un chiffon doux et humide.

Puis séchez à l'aide d'un chiffon sec. N'utilisez pas de décapants.

3. Détartrez à intervalles réguliers. Utilisez détartrant que vous pouvez trouver dans des magasins spécialisés et respectez les consignes données.

NETTOYAGE DU FILTRE

1. Enlevez le filtre de la bouilloire.

2. Placez-le sous un robinet et frottez doucement.

3. Réinstallez le filtre entre les deux rainures situées à côté du bec sur la partie avant de la

bouilloire.

Le cordon pourrait être enroulé dans l'unité de base dotée d'un compartiment de stockage de cordon.

2. Een incorrecte bediening en hantering kan resulteren in fouten in het apparaat en letsels voor de gebruiker.

3. Dit apparaat is enkel ontworpen voor huishoudelijk gebruik.

4. Ontkoppel het apparaat van de netspanning als u het niet gebruikt.

5. Houd de basiseenheid uit de buurt van damp en bescherm tegen spatten.

6. U mag het netsnoer of de stekker niet onderdompelen in water of andere vloeistoffen. Als

dit gebeurt, moet u de stekker onmiddellijk uit het stopcontact verwijderen en het apparaat laten controleren door een expert voor u het opnieuw gebruikt.

7. U mag het apparaat niet bedienen als het snoer of de stekker tekenen van schade vertonen. Als het apparaat gevallen is, moet u het naar een specialist brengen voor controle en indien noodzakelijk de reparatie.

8. Zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet over scherpe randen hangt en houd het uit de buurt van warme oppervlakten.

9. Trek uitsluitend aan de stekker, niet aan het snoer zelf als u het uit het stopcontact verwijdert.

10. Plaats het apparaat op een stabiele oppervlakte, uit de buurt van warme voorwerpen (bijv.

kookplaten), open vlammen; niet onder gordijnen of lage wandkasten plaatsen.

11. U mag het apparaat nooit zonder toezicht laten tijdens het gebruik.

12. Dit apparaat is niet bestemd voor gebruik door personen (inclusief kinderen) met verminderde

fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale mogelijkheden, of personen met een gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, tenzij zij onder toezicht staan van of instructies hebben ontvangen met betrekking tot het gebruik van het apparaat door een persoon die instaat voor hun veiligheid. Kinderen moeten onder toezicht staan om zeker te zijn dat ze niet spelen met dit apparaat.

13. Gebruik de waterketel enkel met de geleverde basiseenheid en gebruik de basiseenheid niet voor andere doeleinden.

uit en warm water kan overstromen.

16. De ketel is enkel bedoeld om water op te warmen. U mag hem niet gebruiken om soep of andere vloeistoffen op te warmen.

VOOR DE EERSTE INGEBRUIKNAME

1. Verwijder de volledige verpakking van de ketel.

2. Voor u de ketel aansluit moet u controleren of de spanning vermeld op het plaatje overeenstemt

met de spanning bij u thuis.

3. Vul de ketel met koel water tot de “MAX” markering en kook het. Verwijder het water uit de ketel. Het apparaat is nu klaar voor gebruik.
