SIM2 has been involved in making high

definition projectors since the introduction

of the original analog HDMAC format

called EUREKA 95 in 1990. Among the

pioneers “made SIM2” there were the

multi-award winning TEATRO Line CRT

projectors. SIM2 has decided to relaunch

this popular and milestone line with unique

high-tech products designed specifically

for Home Theater applications. The new

TEATRO 50 projector is the second 1080p

model of this ultra high-end, highest

brightness digital projector series. The

TEATRO 50 uses the very latest DLP®

chipsets from Texas Instruments to create

the highest picture quality from HDTV

sources. Three 0.95” DarkChip4™ DMDs

are utilized in this design to generate a

picture resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels

(1080p). The TEATRO 50 is equipped with

a renewed optical system that coupled

with SIM2’s lamp system, delivers a

superior contrast ratio of over 8,000:1 and

a brightness of 2800 Ansi Lumens for

crystal-clear, uncompressed HDTV images.

The finest quality precision glass optics

are used throughout the light engine of

the TEATRO 50; the clarity, color-uniformity

and edge-to-edge focus capabilities of

these specialized optical components are

vital to the process of producing the

breathtaking clarity of on-screen images.

SIM2 offers six Super High Contrast (SHC)

lens options for the TEATRO 50, ranging

from fixed short-throw wide-angle (0.67:1)

through to long-throw (4.16-6.96:1).

Motorized zoom, focus, and lens shift

(vertical and horizontal) complete the

package. As befits an ultra-high end

projector, TEATRO 50 is equipped with the

Professional SIM2’s EasyCinema software,

a PC-based calibration system, featuring

full seven-point adjustment of Primary,

Secondary and White Point and full

projector setup controls, allowing pin-point

accurate calibration of the projector in any

home theater or professional system. The

TEATRO 50 can be connected to a wide

selection of video sources via its

comprehensive input panel: six pure digital

HDCP-HDMI inputs, an array of analog

inputs, and professional format digital SDI

input. A dedicated 10/100 Mbit Ethernet

connector is fitted as standard, allowing

the TEATRO 50 to be connected to a LAN

network or to the internet. This network

connection can be used to remotely

control the projector using TCP/IP

commands or to feedback projector

operating status information.
