Model VNT-MP
Mounting Plate for the VNT
INTRODUCTION The Model VNT-MP Mounting Plate from Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. is for
use in CAB1, CAB2 and CAB3 enclosures for mounting the VNT, VNT-PS, Ethernet
Multimode Fiber Switch module and XND modules. One VNT-MP can be installed in a
CAB1, CAB2 or CAB3 enclosure.
VNT-MP Mounting Plate is for indoor use only in dry environments.
INSTALLATION
Remove all system power before installation, first battery then AC. (To power up,
connect the AC first, then the battery.)
The VNT-MP mounts in the bottom row of a CAB1, CAB2 or CAB3 enclosure using
the four 10-32 screws provided.
1. Insert the four screws in the CAB1, CAB2 or CAB3 backbox in the positions
indicated by the the numbers “1” and “5” in Figure 1. Place the four holes
on the VNT-MP Mounting Plate over the screws. (Refer to Figure 2.)
2. Tighten the four screws to secure the mounting plate in place.

Install Jumpers Install the two jumpers (P/N 110-398369) included with the VNT on the terminal block
of the VNT-MP as shown in Figure 3.

COMPATIBILITY The VNT-MP can be used in CAB1, CAB2 and CAB3 enclosures.
