General
This document describes the rules which have to be considered when a Triacon Network ID
Camera is to be connected to a patient booking system, normally a RIS system (Radiology
Information System).
Important
Triacon Network ID Camera does not support any standard protocol like DICOM or HL7. This
means that all adoptions between a patient data system and a ID camera are specific for each
installation.
Therefore - Vendors and Sales Representatives of the Mammomat system must make sure that
some conditions are included in the Mammomat sales contract, to be able to promise the
customers that they can connect a Triacon Network ID Camera to a patient booking system of a
Hospital or Radiology ward.
Requirements
The Triacon Network ID Camera can receive patient data in its own data format. It is
recommended to distribute the following information to the customer / RIS vendor as soon as the
topic comes up. If the RIS system does not support Triacon’s protocol, an adoption must be made.
If adoptions have to be made, it is important that the customer is properly informed before any
actions are made, this in order to start an evaluation whether an adoption is possible or not, and to
get a price on such project.
Below follows a description of the requirements from the Triacon Network ID Camera side.
Physical Connection
The ID Camera is equipped with three different interfaces, which is intended for downloading of
patient data. One is a RS232-interface, one is a RS422-interface and as an option a TCP/IPinterface is available.
