• Uniform software level for all LITHOSTAR Multiline systems installed worldwide.
• Elimination of errors 429X.
• Increase of limit to 1.2 Million.

UI SP013/01/P Software Update, Rev. 06.
NOTICE
If revision 06 is not yet installed, install it first according to
UI SP013/01/P, and then perform a combined function test.

NOTICE
There may appear problems while do wnloading the host software
in case a service pc with a frequency > 133 MHz is used.
If a more powerful PC is used the download will be terminated
and the system cannot be operated anymore.
Recording Multiline-specific system parameters 0
• Switch the system on.
• Connect the service PC to the system (N11 board D1.X10).
(Refer to Operating the service software RXL2-120.113.01).
• If service software VA00C has not yet been installed on the PC, install it.
(Refer to Operating the service software RXL2-120.113.01).
• Call up the service software (To start, put the HOST software diskette VD00A from the
logbook into the drive "a").
• Carry out a backup of all system parameters. (Data → Backup).
• Read out the following parameters and record them in the table.

Updating the host software on the LITHOSTAR Multiline 0
Required parts from the upgrade kit:

• Switch the system on.
• Place the disk with the new host software version VD00C into the drive of the service PC.
• Call up the service software.
• Download the new host software version VD00C.
In the Data menu: select Download Select "ML_Host".
(Refer to Operating the service software RXL2-120.113.01.)
• Despite the message, no automatic reset is performed. Perform the reset with S1 on
board D1 (in N11).
NOTICE
If no manual reset is carried out, no restore of the parameters is
possible. Disregard the status display on the operating monitor,
service PC or board D1 and D6.
• Use Menu, Data Restore to transfer the new parameter set LITHO_M.P00 from the
Host SW version VD00C to the unit.
(Refer to Operating the service software RXL2-120.113.01.).
• Record the parameters as well as the default values from the table; transfer them back to
the unit as unit and system-specific values (Refer to Operating the Service Software
RXL2-120.113.01. Menu Adjustment, Parameter.).
NOTICE
The changed values have to be transmitted separately for each
parameter group to the host.
• If error EE00 occurs in the MEMOSKOP 3
- set incorrect mains frequency and wait until reset was carried out.
- Subsequently set correct mains frequency again.
• Create backup copies for the following data (Menu, Data, Backup)
- Parameter, Customer Data, System Data, Technical Info, Service Data.
• Quit the service program and remove the disk from the drive.
• Switch the system off.

What is new in software Rev 6.3? 0
- Improved error detection.
- Constancy limit increased to 1.2 million.
NOTICE
Due to changes in the monitoring of the shock wave system, the
shock wave cabinet must be switched on when switching on the
system. The shock wave cabinet can be switched off, when the
system is ready for use.

• Reattach all covers.
• Perform a function test for all the drives.
• Using the service PC, enter the Text "Software Rev. 6.2" into the Menu.

• Make backup copies of all parameters (menu, data, backup).
• Place the disks in the logbook. Remove the old software and destroy it.
• Update the system documentation.
Update the revision level, the operating instructions and the technical documentation.
Fill out, and if needed, make a copy of the attached "Completion Protocol/ Update
Completion Form" and file it in the corresponding System Binder/User Handbook.
• Updates that have already been completed prior to publication of this SI must also be
reported.
• The update is reported as follows:
- The modification reply cards (Type 606) previously distributed with the publication of
updates no longer apply.
- The modification reply report has to be prepared by authorized personnel using an
application on the Intranet.
