1 Safety
1.1 Target group
The instructions in this document are designed only for the following target group.

5 Mounting
5.1 Adjusting the Sunshield
1. Firmly squeeze (A) the sides of the sunshield (See Fig. 3).
2. Slide (B) the sunshield to the required position.
3. Release the sunshield and it will remain in position.

5.2 Accessing the inside of the Housing Enclosure
1. Using the ALLEN key provided, loosen but do not completely remove the
4 securing screws (A) (See
Fig. 4).
2. Slide the housing cover forwards (B).
3. Disconnect the earth wire from the terminal board (C).
4. Allow the cover to pivot at the end or twist to completely remove (D).
NOTE
To re-assemble carry out steps 1 to 4 in reverse, making sure the earth wire is reconnected. The screws which secure the housing to the rear cap should be retightened to a torque of 2 Nm.

5.3 Mounting the Camera and Lens Assembly
1. With the housing cover slid forward or removed, slacken the Pozi Pan Head
Screw, but do not remove (A) (see
Fig. 5).
2. Push the plate to unclip it from the rail (B).
3. Pull back the plate to release it from the rail (C).
4. Secure the camera to the plate, as per the manufacturer’s instructions
(screws suitable for most cameras are supplied with the housing). The nylon shoulder washer can be used on the mounting screw for the camera to insulate it from the housing.
5. Use the spacers provided to adjust the height of the camera and lens on the plate, the lens should be centralised on and close to the window glass when mounted in the housing.
6. Reattach the plate (D) following Steps 1 to 3 in reverse.
7. Wire the camera and lens as described in the manufacturer’s instructions, see
section
5.5 for details on connecting to the power supply. Use the cable
anchors to clamp all cables.
8. Once the camera installation and wiring is complete, close the housing as described in section
5.2.

5.4 Mounting the Camera Housing Assembly
The housing has a set of 4 x M6 x 10 mm deep tapped holes on a 101.6mm (4”) PCD for mounting the camera housing to a bracket. Ensure the screws used to mount the housing to a bracket do not bottom out in the mounting holes by being too long.
1. Screw the mounting bracket to the base of the unit (A) (see
Fig. 6).
2. Secure the assembly following the bracket installation instructions.

5.5 Connecting to the Power Supply
IMPORTANT
Please read the ‘Safety’ section on Page
5 before connecting to the Power
Supply.
IMPORTANT
All wiring must be installed to local and national standards. Ensure all SELV and signal wiring is kept away from live parts and is suitably protected from live parts by double insulation.
CAUTION
A readily accessible all-pole disconnect device with at least 3 mm contact separation shall be incorporated in the building installation wiring. As part of the building installation, protect the unit via a fuse or circuit breaker rated at 2 A for CHSL4010 110 – 230 V AC units and 5 A for CHSL4011 12 – 24 V AC units.
NOTE
Use only cable suitable for the application and that meets the standards required by the installation. The conductor size for power cable(s) must be at least 0.75 mm

1. Select the most suitable cable gland entry, (see section 3.1 for sizes) and remove the blanking plug supplied in the gland (A) (See
Fig. 7).
2. Insert the mains cable and clamp it securely using one of the cable anchors (B). The central anchor point is for larger cables, the two outer ones are for
smaller cables. Do not overtighten the screws as this may damage the cable.
3. Connect to the input supply on terminal board (C).

4. Tighten all glands/conduits (A) securely to prevent water ingress.

6 Maintenance and service
The following maintenance guidelines should be observed.
Cleaning Use only soap and water to clean the housing and pane - no abrasive solvents. Additional protection
can be applied to the pane to reduce contamination and droplet formation from moisture or rain. Products from the automotive or cleaning industry which use nanotechnology to reduce surface energies and thus contamination and moisture build-up can be used for this purpose.
6 monthly checks 1. All fastenings and cables should be checked for tightness and wear.
2. Regular checks should be performed to ensure that the outer sheaths of the cables are not damaged and that the cables are not fouling on any obstruction.
NOTE
This installation guide cannot cover all conceivable cases of installation, operation or maintenance. 7 Disposal
All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the government or the local authorities.
This crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the product means the product is covered by the European Directive 2002/96/EC.
The correct disposal and separate collection of your old appliance will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health. It is a precondition for reuse and recycling of used electrical and electronic equipment. For more detailed information about disposal of your old appliance, please contact your city office, waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
