GENERAL

The Shure Model R10A is a replacement cartridge for
Shure 104C Carbon Microphones. The R10A consists of a
cartridge and grille screen.

INSTALLATION

1. Remove three screws securing case back to case

front.
CAUTION: Microphone case is spring-loaded; care
must be taken to hold the two halves of the micro­phone case together.

2. Remove springs, cartridge, grille screen and metal

cup.

3. Unsolder leads from cartridge.

4. Place metal cup over terminal side of replacement

cartridge (flat side of cup against cartridge), and sol­der leads to replacement cartridge (see Internal Con­nections diagram).

5. Place grille screen, replacement cartridge and metal

cup in case front.

6. Replace springs in case front, attaching spring hooks

to metal cup edge.

7. Place case back against case front and squeeze case

tightly while replacing screws.

If outside the United States, return the unit to your dealer
or Authorized Shure Service Center for repair. The unit will
be returned to you prepaid.
