Tongue Weight Adjustment
Approximate Tongue Weight for Best Towing.
Tongue weight too high, move the axle assembly
forward. Tongue weight too low, move the axle
assembly backward. Tongue weight should be 5% to
7% of the total gross weight of the boat and trailer
combined.
NOTE: ShoreLandr offers their product line in either galvanized or painted finish. When ordering parts it is important that you specify the
finish or color you have on your product. The five digit number along with a two digit space _ _, notes the parts which can be purchased
with various finishes. When ordering these items use the five digit prefix and include the following two digit suffix for proper finish.

SR-V2042T Final Assembly Instructions
Rocker Boxes:
Align the center of the hole of the rocker arm with the
center hole of the spring bracket. Secure with a 3/4 X 4-1/
2 hex bolt from the outside-in and tighten with a 3/4 hex
lock nut.
Axle/Springs:
Fasten the springs to the axle with a 1/2 square u-bolt
over the spring clamp (Ref.#49) and then over the axle.
Secure the legs of the u-bolts to the u-bolt plate (Ref.#50)
and tighten with 1/2 flange lock nuts. NOTE: Make certain
the hook end of the springs point in same direction to the
rear of the trailer, on both axles! For the rear spring and
axle place a galvanized spring bracket bushing in the rear
of the spring bracket. Insert a 9/16 X 32-1/4 hex bolt
through the bracket from the outside-in and tighten with 9/
16 hex lock nuts. Slide the end of the hook spring over
the bushing just installed; raise the front of spring and
fasten with a 9/16 X 3-1/4 hex bolt and a 9/16 hex lock
nut. Repeat on the other side. Tighten all nuts and bolts
but do not over tighten. Allow the spring room enough to
move.
For installation of the front spring and axle repeat the
above procedure, however, place the bushing in the rocker
box in the hook end of the spring. Insert the bolts and
secure with hex lock nuts as before.
Mount the tires and rims using 80-90 ft. lbs. torque on lug
nuts using proper tightening procedures.
Brakes:
Refer to the brake manual for service and maintenance.
Winch:
Mount the Profile 2000 winch assembly with jack on the
tongue in a desired location that best fits your watercraft
using three (3) 1/2 X 4 carriage bolts and 1/2 flange lock
nuts. Install the winch handle on the Profile 2000 winch
shaft.
Bunks:
Install and secure the 2X6 bunk onto the bunk brackets
with 3/8 X 1 hex bolts and 3/8 flange lock nuts. Make
sure the bunks are positioned so that the bunk bracket
attached to the bunk and the bracket attached to the
frame are mounted together so that you have metal to
metal stops to keep the bunks from pivoting to far. Tighten
as far as possible but still allow the bunk to fully pivot side
to side.
Assembly should be complete except for tightening
some of the bolts. These bolts were left loose to aid in
adjusting the trailer to the boat only. All bolts and
nuts must be tightened before towing.
NOTE: The law requires that the white ground wire on
both the tongue wire harness and vehicle harness be
properly grounded to respective trailer and vehicle
frames.
Tongue:
Install the tongue assembly into the tongue channel of the
trailer frame. Thread the tongue harness through the
tongue plate cover. Secure the tongue plate cover
(Ref.#56) and the rear of the swing tongue assembly with
a 1/2 X 1-1/2 hex bolt, 1/2 flat washer and 1/2 hex lock
nut. Tighten both bolts. Tighten bolts but do not over
tighten. Match tongue harness wires with the correct
frame harness wires, plug-in. Wiring is complete.
Safety Chain:
Using a ½ X 5 hex bolt on lower right mounting hole on
tongue, secure the safety chain. Place a ½ flat washer on
½ X 5 hex bolt followed by one safety chain and insert
into actuator housing unit and tongue. Place the second
safety chain on the bolt followed by a ½ flat washer and
½ flange lock nut. Tighten.
Trailer Adjustments
Before adjusting the winch post check to see that the
transom of the boat is flush with rear of the bunks.
Place the boat onto the trailer so that it is resting on the
bunks. The transom must be flush with bunks at the rear
of the trailer. Once the boat is positioned as described
above, make the following adjustments.
Winch Post:
Slide the winch post into position. Note that the winch
holder (upper portion) must be positioned just above the
bow eye. Run the winch strap over the upper nylon
bushing in the winch case and secure to bow eye. Tighten
all bolts on the winch post. Slip the bow eye safety chain
into the bow eye. Adjustment is complete. Check the
tongue weight.
NOTE: Double-check all nuts and bolts to insure that
they are properly tightened before towing.
