ANCHORING TIPS, TECHNIQUES AND WARNINGS
Proper anchoring is critical to overall shelter strength, security and long-lasting performance.
Once your shelter is correctly anchored, continuous anchor-to-frame and cover-to-frame
tightening is recommended as ongoing maintenance to achieve best results and longer life for
your shelter.
Check your building’s installation manual for details on choosing the best placement for your
shelter.
For optimal frame strength and stability ShelterLogic recommends 1 Ratchet Tite™ anchor for
every frame leg. See Below:
Ratchet Tite™ is designed to be installed in a wide range of ground surfaces including –
grass, packed soil, gravel, rocky soil as well as concrete or asphalt after drilling a 2” hole
through the substrate in order to drive the Easy Hook underneath the surface.
WARNING
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CHECK FOR UNDERGROUND
POWER CABLES OR PIPES NEAR OR AROUND THE
SHELTER SITE BEFORE USING ANY ANCHORING SYSTEM.
BE SURE TO ALWAYS WEAR GOGGLES WHEN DRILLING INTO
PIPE LEGS AND WHILE USING A SLEDGE HAMMER
TO INSERT THE EASY HOOKS.
