ESTABLISHMENT OF SERVICE PARTS CARRIED OUT.

1.Model Name: SF-D23/AR-D513 (desk for model AR-5132)

2.General: A change was carried out in the software, and an addition of a register mylar sheet was

carried out from 1997 October production for the two models listed above. This action was carried out as a measure to establish uniformity of the desks. The parts, however, were not established as service parts, and therefore the establishment of the parts as service parts has now been carried out. Furthermore, there was an omission of the register mylar sheet and the plastic slider sheet, and an error in the screw listed in the parts guide of model D513. These mistakes have been corrected and are hereby reported.

3.Description: There were some problems of copy paper undelivered jams occurring when the

addition of a register mylar sheet was carried out (as a measure to alleviate problems of diagonal feeding of the copy paper) as a measure to establish uniformity with model D513. As a measure to alleviate this problem, the timing for the transport startup has been changed from the copy paper feeding register sensor ON timing to the register roller timing when the copy paper curl has finished.

• ROM version: S00014 has been changed to S00015.

• ROM version S00015 includes the content of ROM version S00014.

• The installation of ROM version S00015 to machines without the register mylar sheet

does not present any problems.

• The addition of the register mylar sheet and the change in the ROM have been carried

out at the same time. There have not been any problems of jam occurring in machines which do not have the register mylar sheet, but when running the machines which have the register mylar sheet with ROM version S00014, there is a possibility of copy paper undelivered jams sometimes occurring.
