CORRECTING THE ADF PAPER FEED COVER
LOCK PROBLEM
1.General: For the front frame side of the ADF paper feed cover fails to completely close owing to
parts variance, the following improvement is taken up.
2.Cause: The paper feed cover is locked using lock jaws found on both sides of the cover with
the keys (P/G 1 -61) on the front and rear frame sides. If there is a variance in their
sizes between the paper feed cover front and opposite sides, the cover is locked
incomplete.

3.Description: The height of the paper feed cover front side lock jaw is increased 0.5mm to avoid
incomplete locking.
From January through February 1993, the screw hole of the key lock S on the front side
is changed from the round hole to an elongated hole, and moved it towards the
direction A to hold the jaw more firmly.
Lock incomplete
Height increased 0.5mm.
