1. The cooker should be serviced only by qualified technicians trained by SHARP.
2. Close supervision is necessary when the rice cooker is used by or near children.
3. Take good care of the electric power supply and power supply cord in order to reduce the risk of
electric shock, burning or fire:
• Use the cooker on a 230volt, 50Hz, AC only protected electrical supply, then plug into the electric
wall receptacle securely.
• Grip the body of the plug when pulling out. Do not grip the power supply cord itself.
• Do not touch the plug by wet hand when putting into or pulling out.
• Always keep clean the edge of the plug so that dust does not accumulate.
• Should the power supply cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cord supplied
or approved by the SHARP SERVICE CENTRE. And it must be replaced by qualified technicians
trained by SHARP.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug or body in water or other liquid.
4. Do not use the cooker on unstable surface or material which is not heat resistant such as carpet or
vinyl sheet, near heat sources or where water can reach.
5. Do not put foreign objects such as pin or wire into the hole at the bottom.
6. Do not cook near wall, furniture or in unventilated places such as cabinet.
7. Always keep the bottom of the inner pot, the heating plate and the sensor clean so that they do not
accumulate rice grain or other debris. Any foreign objects will cause the cooker to malfunction.
8. Use the body handle instead of the inner pot handles when moving the cooker.
9. Be careful not to touch the lid open button when moving the cooker.
10. During or immediately after cooking, the area near the steam vent hole or heating plate are kept at
high temperature. Therefore this area should not be touched to avoid burn.
11. Immediately after cooking, inner pot handles become hot. Therefore use oven glove or the like.
12. Do not place a wiping cloth or the like on lid during cooking.
13. Do not use the inner pot for other heating appliances such as a gas table.
14. The use of other inner pot not supplied by SHARP may cause injuries.
15. Do not heat when the inner pot is empty. Do not use the cooker to boil water.
16. Disconnect the plug from the receptacle when not in use.

Ingredients
2 cupsIong grain rice

300 gfresh salsa, mild or hot

1. Wash rice and drain off.
2. Fry onion, bacon and tuna with I tbsp oil in frying pan;

4. Put rice, saffron solution, tomato puree, salt and pepper into inner pot. Add chicken stock to level 3 for
and mix well.

1. Put washed rice, chicken stock, milk, salt, pepper and
lemon zest into inner pot and mix well.

4. When rice is finished cooking, mix well and put spinach
and grated Cheddar cheese on rice.
Let rice cooker remain on keep WARM setting for at
least 3 minutes or until cheese melt.
Orange Rice PilafMakes 4 servings
Ingredients
2 cupslong grain rice
150 mlchicken stock
350 mlgrated rind of 2 oranges
plus enough orange juice
4 tbspbutter
40 gfinely chopped onion, or 1

CLEANING AND CARE
Notes: • After disconnecting the plug from the receptacle and cooling down the body, start cleaning as shown below.
• Be sure to use the dilute tableware detergent, not cleanser, thinner, alcohol or nylon scrubbing brush which
causes scratches and rust.
• If you have cooked something other than white rice, clean the inner pot and the steam valve cap as soon
as possible. Failure to do so may cause corrosion or smell.

Wash with sponge and wipe

As for fluoro-resin coated inner pot.
• Wash the rice in a separate bowl to avoid scratching in the inner pot surface.
• Use the supplied plastic rice scoop. Do not use sharp-edged or metallic scoop, otherwise the fluoro-resin coated surface
may be scratched.
• Do not use vinegar.
• While using, the fluoro-resin coated surface may show color unevenness. This is due to moisture or steam, and it does
not cause any trouble for using or become sanitary problem.
• When the inner pot is changed in shape or damaged, please exchange for a new one.
