1. Change in the shape of the PU support plate F/R as a measure to improve
operationability.
1.Model Name: SD-4085
2.General: A washer was inserted during tightening operations of the fixing screws when attaching
the RDH pop up unit F/R to the rear tip paper guide unit. This method of securing the
RDH pop up unit F/R resulted in extremely poor operationabilty performance, however,
and as an improvement measure the use of the washer has been discontinued, and a
change in the shape of the PU support plate has been carried out to replace it.
3.Action: From the start of 1996 November production.
2. Change in specifications.
1.Model Name: SD-4085
2.General: Changes have been carried out in the content of the main ROM in the main PWB, the
program ROM in the operation control PWB, the operation manual and the key operator
guide. These changes were carried out in accordance with a change that was carried
out in the specifications.
3.Description: Content of the change that was carried out in the specifications:
Key operator manual, P24. The number of fixed magnifications which can be set has

been established at one (1), and moreover, in simulation 26-28 the addition of three (3)
fixed magnifications has been made possible.
The range of change for the magnification of the zoom key has been established so
°
that it is within the fixed magnification.
(Continual depression of the zoom key will continue to change the magnification, but the
magnification will stop at each fixed magnification. The zoom key must be turned off once
and turned back on to change the magnification to the selected fixed magnification.)

The ready lamp will be turned ON even for EXTRA sized paper during the double side

copy mode. When copy operations are started, the S-D mode will be changed to the S-S
mode, and the D-D mode will be change to the D-S mode before copying.
The interchangeability of the main ROM in the main PWB, the program ROM in the
operation PWB and the data ROM are as shown in the table below.

3. Measure to prevent contact with the switch lever.
1.Model Name: SD-4085
2.General: The switch lever inside the RDH transport frame unit was too close to the sensor,
creating the danger of contact. As a trouble shooting measure to alleviate this problem,
a change has been carried out in the E-ring groove of the lift up shaft and the position
of the pin hole, preventing contact from taking place.

4. Measure to improve the input power supply of the CLR PWB.

2.General: There was a danger of insufficient input current for the ON signal copy lamp, due to
irregularities in the circuit characteristics. As a trouble shooting measure to alleviate this
problem, a change has been carried out in the resistance.
3.Action: From 1996 mid-September production.
