1. A change to the MSDS card.

1.Model Name: SD-4085 (USA, Canadian versions)

2.General: Recently, IARC (the International Association for Research on Cancer) changed the

cancer-causing substance classification of the carbon black used in toner. As a result, the information on the included MSDS card has been changed.

3.Action: From the first unit of September, 1996 production.

2. Improvements to the installation of the RDH’s PU support unit.

1.Model Name: SD-4085

2.General: We have made the following changes in order to improve installation procedures for the

RDH’s PU support unit.

3.Description: We have added a ø3.1 opening in PU drive shaft D.

Insert an Allen wrench into the added ø3.1 hole as indicated above, and tighten the flat screws when the PU drive shaft’s rotation halts. Apply screw lock to the flathead screws.

3. A change to the AC control PWB.

1.Model Name: SD-3075 (SEC/SECL) SD-4085 (SEC/SECL)

2.General: The use of varistors is now forbidden by technical safety regulations. As a result, we have discontinued the varistor for the AC control PWBs of the above models.

3.Description: We have discontinued the silk No. B401 varistor for the AC control PWB. For the SD-4085, this change has been in effect since the first lot. Please correct the part guide to reflect this.

4.Action: From the first unit of September, 1996 production.
