1. Troubleshooting RADF paper feeding jams and original document detection errors.

2.General: Jams sometimes occur due to insertion problems of the original document reserve feed
paper when using the RADF. Problems have also occurred in the inch line with A4
sized paper being detected as B5 sized paper. The following changes have been
carried out to alleviate these problems.

3.Description: The program content of the EP ROM in the PBA control PWB has been changed. In
accordance with this change the parts code for the PBA control PWB has also been
changed.

4.Action: SD-2060: From 1995 mid-March production.
2. UDH improvement measures.
1.Model name: SD-3062
2.General: The shapes of some of the parts comprising the UDH have been changed as
improvement measures.
3.Description: (1) Abnormal noise sometimes occurs when the edge of the hinge adjustment axle rubs
against the inside of the SP holder during RDH unit opening and closing operations.
To alleviate this problem the edge of the hinge adjustment axle has been changed as
shown below.
In accordance with the change the parts code of hinge link assembly has been changed.

(5) A depression had occurred around the solenoid attachment screw hole in the
separator duct cover, making adjustment operations difficult to carry out. To alleviate
this problem, the area surrounding the screw hole has been built up.

(6) The edge of the leading stopper arm in the separator duct unit sometimes rubs
against the stopper, causing movement errors. To alleviate this problem, the direction
of the curvature of the edge has been changed from the inner side to the outer side.

(7) The fixing screws which attach the SOL duct to the suction duct in the suction fan
unit of the UDH did not hold properly, and have been lengthened to alleviate the
problem.

(8) Abnormal noise sometimes occurs in the gear section of the UDH discharge drive
unit when the motor drive is engaged. To alleviate this problem the frame has been
bent as shown in the figure below.
