EK 3241
RF Wireless Systems | 3000 Series Miniature Receivers
General Description
The new EK 3241 has a switching bandwidth of 36 MHz and frequencies that can be tuned in steps of 5 kHz, making the true-diversity receiver the perfect partner for Sennheiser’s current transmitter models SKM 5200 and SK 5212. Frequency-agile products are in greater demand than ever as frequency resources become increa-singly scarce. We have therefore developed a new tuner module for this true-diversity camera receiver and given the lightweight EK 3241 (200 g/7.05 oz) the capacity for reliable, flexible RF wireless transmission: 32 custom frequencies have already been programmed within the switching bandwidth of 36 MHz; in addition the user is free to program and store another 20 frequencies in steps of 5 kHz into the user bank. The receiver can be easily and intuitively operated with a completely new user interface, which is similar to that of the SK 5212 bodypack transmitter. For a high operational reliability the EK 3241 displays the battery status of the transmitter in detail. The receiver is extremely reliable; its full-metal case is weatherproof and robust.

Architectural Specifications
The wireless microphone receiver shall operate in the UHF band with a switching bandwidth of 36 MHz. The receiver shall use technologies such as true diversity reception and HiDyn plus™ noise reduction for improved reception, minimized drop-outs, and best possible signal-to-noise ratio.
The receiver shall be frequency agile with up to 7200 frequencies programmable in 5 KHz steps with 32 custom frequencies factory programmed within the switching bandwidth. The preset frequency bank shall be intermodulation-free, one additional user frequency bank shall allow for customized frequency setups in order to avoid RF interference. Adjustable noise-squelch circuitry shall be implemented to provide optimal sound quality.
The receiver shall be menu-driven with an LC display either showing the operating frequency, the current bank and channel number, or transmitter battery status. The display shall include metering of AF and RF level.
The compact all-metal housing shall fit directly into a variety of professional video cameras. It shall be lightweight, robust, and weatherproof.
The wireless microphone receiver specified shall be a Sennheiser EK 3241 True Diversity Miniature Receiver.
