NOTES ON USING THE WATCH

MODE CHANGE
When the confirmation sound is turned on, a beep sounds with each press of button A to change over the mode. It sounds in a different tone when the TIME/CALENDAR mode appears, so that you can easily know the mode shown.
TIME/CALENDAR MODE
The calendar automatically adjusts for odd and even months including February of leap years.
In second setting, when the seconds count any number from “30” to “59” and button D is pressed, one minute is added and the seconds are reset to “00”.
The flashing digits except the seconds and 12-/24-hour indication (and on/off of auto illumination function for Cal. W671) move quickly if button D is kept pressed.
Once the year, month and date have been set, the day of the week is automatically set.
If the watch is left untouched with the digits flashing, it will automatically return to the
TIME/CALENDAR mode in 2 to 3 minutes.
Note for Cal. W671:
Some models have a color glass over the digital display. If the display is difficult to read, use the watch with the AUTO ILLUMINATION function turned on. When setting the time/calendar, press button E to turn on the illuminating light for easy viewing.
English
21
Cal. W671Cal. W626
Note on unusual display:
While setting the time/calendar, all the segments of the display will light up if both buttons C and D are pressed at the same time. This is not a malfunction. Press any one of the buttons to return to the TIME/CALENDAR mode, and then set the time/calendar again.
STOPWATCH MODE
Notes for Cal. W671:
1) Lap time measured and lap number remain displayed for 10 seconds, and then, the current time appears in the upper row of the display.
2) The lap number counts up to “99”. After that, it is displayed in 2 digits such as “00” for 100, “01” for 101, and so on.
English
3) The first 8 lap times are automatically stored in memory.
4) Even if the digits are reset to “00” in the stopwatch measurement, stored data is not erased and can be recalled unless a new measurement is started.
5) When the button operation confirmation sound is turned on, a beep sounds every minute to signal the lapse of time.
Even if the STOPWATCH mode is changed to another while the measurement is in
progress, it continues counting properly and the flashing STOPWATCH mode mark indicates that the stopwatch is in use. After the stopwatch is used, however, be sure to reset it as the battery energy is consumed enormously to shorten the battery life.
22
Cal. W671Cal. W626
TIMER MODE
After the set time is up, the timer counts down the set time repeatedly. After the timer
is used, therefore, be sure to reset it as the battery energy is consumed enormously to shorten the battery life.
In the adjustable timer setting, the flashing digits move quickly if button D is kept
pressed.
If the watch is left untouched with the digits flashing, it will automatically return to the
TIMER mode in 2 to 3 minutes.
Restart and stop of the timer can be repeated by pressing button C.
Notes for Cal. W626:
1) By pressing button B for 2 to 3 seconds in any one of the preset timer displays, the adjustable timer setting function is activated.
2) If button D is pressed while the time set for the adjustable timer is displayed, the set time will be canceled.
Notes for Cal. W671:
1) After the countdown is repeated 99 times, the number of times the countdown is repeated is displayed in 2 digits such as “00” for 100, “01” for 101, and so on.
2) When the button operation confirmation sound is turned on, a beep sounds every minute to signal the lapse of time.
3) Even if the TIMER mode is changed to another while the measurement is in progress, it continues counting properly and the flashing TIMER mode mark indicates that the timer is in use. After the timer is used, however, be sure to reset it as the battery energy is consumed enormously to shorten the battery life.
English
23
Cal. W671Cal. W626
4) If the timer is left counting without being stopped, it will automatically be stopped and reset to show the set time when more than 12 hours passed and the time display reaches 0:00 a.m. or 0:00 p.m.
ALARM MODE
At the designated time the alarm rings for 20 seconds, and the display is illuminated as
the alarm rings. To stop them manually, press any one of the buttons.
In the alarm time setting, the flashing digits move quickly if button D is kept pressed.
When the time function is displayed in the 24-hour indication, the alarm is also displayed
in the 24-hour indication.
When setting the hour digits in the 12-hour indication, check that AM/PM is properly set.
If the watch is left untouched with the digits flashing, it will automatically return to the
English
ALARM mode in 2 to 3 minutes.
Alarm test: The alarm can be tested by keeping buttons C and D pressed in the TIME/

BATTERY CHANGE

Battery life : Approx. 2 years
2
Years
The battery life may be less than 2 years if the stopwatch is used for more than 10 hours a day, the timer for more than 10 hours a day, the alarm more than once a day, the illuminating light more than 3 times a day, the confirmation sound more than 24 times a day and/or the auto illumination more than 30 times a week (only for Cal. W671).
As the battery is inserted at the factory to check the function and performance of the watch, its actual life once in your possession may be less than the specified period.
When the battery expires, be sure to replace it as soon as possible to prevent any malfunction.
We recommend that you contact an AUTHORIZED PULSAR DEALER for battery replacement.
