Installation:
1. Before installing the hard drive, make sure the DVR is turned off and the power is disconnected.

DR-1 Series Installing a Hard Drive
What’s Needed:
Standard 3.5” SATA hard drive (6Gbps SATA) DR-1 Series DVR Screwdriver (Do not use power tools)
SATA Cables (Included with DR-1 Series DVR) 8 Hard drive mounting screws
(Included with DR-1 Series DVR)
3. Carefully lift the top cover of the unit from the
rear, and then slide off the DVR.
4. Up to 2 hard drives may be installed in the DVR.
Arrange the hard drives as shown. If only installing one hard drive, choose either side.
6. Once the side of the hard drive is secured to the
DVR, use 2 screws to secure the bottom of the hard drive to the DVR as shown.
5. Each hard drive requires 4 screws to be
properly secured to the DVR frame. Secure each hard drive to the DVR using the included screws. Use 2 screws to secure one side of a hard drive to the DVR as shown.
There are 3 screws on each
side of the DVR.
There is 1 screw on the rear
of the DVR.
9. Locate the power connectors. Connect one
power connector to each hard drive.
10. Replace the top cover and secure the 7 screws.
7. Locate the SATA connection point on the DVR’s
PCB (printed circuit board). Connect one SATA cable for each hard drive.
8. Connect the other end of the SATA cable to the
hard drive.
11. After the hard drives are installed, power up the DVR and connect it to a monitor. The DVR will automatically
format your hard drives. If prompted, follow-the on-screen instructions. Note: The two hard drives can be installed at different times if needed.

WARRANTY: This SECO-LARM DVR is warranted against defects in material and workmanship while used in normal service for a period of three (3) years from the date of sale to the original consumer customer. SECO-LARM’s obligation is limited to the repair or replacement of any defective part if the unit is returned, transportation prepaid, to SECO-LARM.

This warranty is void if damage is caused by or attributed to acts of God, physical or electrical misuse or abuse, neglect, repair or alteration, improper or abnormal usage, or faulty installation. Exposing the
DVR to environmental, moisture, humidity, or other operating conditions not within the acceptable limits specified in the User’s Manual or if for any other reason SECO-LARM determines that such equipment is not operating properly as a result of causes other than defects in material and workmanship will void the warranty. Removing, altering, or defacing the original identification markings (such as product labels, serial numbers, and trademarks) will void the warranty.
The sole obligation of SECO-LARM, and the purchaser’s exclusive remedy, shall be limited to replacement or repair only, at SECO-LARM’s option. In no event shall SECO-LARM be liable for any special, collateral, incidental, or consequential damages for (i) the breach of any of the provisions hereof including, without limitation, provisions regarding warranties, guarantees, and/or indemnities; or (ii) any claims by the purchaser concerning the goods of his or her use including, without limitation, claims for loss of goodwill, loss of profit or revenue, loss of use, cost of removal, installation or reinstallation, personal or property injury of any kind to the purchaser or anyone else, theft of or damage to the protected area or its contents, and/or any inability on the part of the consumer purchaser to use the equipment. This warranty is not an insurance policy against loss. This limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, or arising from law, custom, or conduct including without limitation the warranties of merchantability and/or fitness for any particular purpose.
Backing up data on a regular basis is always recommended. It is the responsibility of the end user to regularly back up data, including backing up data before sending the DVR to SECO-LARM for any repairs. SECO-LARM is not responsible for any lost data. HDD Data recovery, incidental damages, consequential damages, and costs associated to the removal and installation of the HDD are not covered under this warranty and are not part of their repair or exchange process. SECO-LARM reserves the right to replace the original HDD with an equivalent HDD.
The SECO-LARM policy is one of continual development and improvement. For that reason, SECO-LARM reserves the right to change specifications without notice and without incurring any obligation to similarly alter any previously purchased products.
To obtain warranty service, contact the SECO-LARM distributor while still in the warranty period. Before a Return Authorization is issued, a call must be made to the SECO-LARM technical support department. If the problem cannot be resolved over the phone or by email, the SECO-LARM technical support department will advise on how to send the defective product in for service. The customer will
be required to return the product, at the customer’s expense, for repair or replacement. Upon the receipt of the defective product, SECO-LARM will send a repaired or replacement product at SECO- LARM’s expense to the customer.
