1. Drain the oil from the transfer gearbox. Clean the oil plug magnet and refit it.

2. Remove the propeller shafts from the transfer gearbox.

3. Remove the air and electrical connections for the differential lock or front-wheel

drive as well as for the high and low gear.

4. Remove the speedometer connection.

5. Fit fixture holder 98 402, fixture shaft 98 403, end yoke bracket 98 404, fixture

beam 98 405 and rear gearbox support 99 044 on a gearbox jack.

6. Slide the jack in under the vehicle and screw the fixtures into place on the gear-

box.

7. Remove the screws and nuts of the gearbox bracket and lower the gearbox.
