Coffee Maker
Avoid extreme temperature changes. Rapid temperature change (e.g. when the unit is
moved from freezing temperature to a warm room) may cause condensation inside the
unit and a malfunction when it is switched on. In this case leave the unit at room
temperature for at least 1.5 hours before switching it on.
If the unit has been in transit, leave it indoors for at least 1.5 hours before starting
operation.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Basic safety precautions should always be taken when using electrical appliances,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions before use.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or product in water or any
liquid. Make sure all electrical connections are clean and dry.
4. This coffee maker is not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary
when the coffee maker is in use near children.
5. Unplug coffee maker from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow unit to
cool completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
6. Do not operate this appliance when the power cord or the plug is damaged, or if it
malfunctions, is dropped or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to an
authorized service station for examination, repair, or electrical/mechanical adjustment.
7. Do not use attachments or accessories other than those supplied by the manufacturer.
Using incompatible parts can create a hazard.

9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table and counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place the coffee maker on or near a gas or electrical burner, or in a heated oven.
11. Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
12. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during brewing cycle.
13. The carafe is designed for use with this coffee maker. It must never be used on a range

14. Do not set a hot carafe on a wet or cold surface.
15. Do not use a cracked carafe or a carafe having a loose or weakened handle.
16. Do not clean carafe with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
17. Do not let all of the liquid evaporate in the carafe when the coffee maker is on or is
still warm.

HOW TO USE

Before First Use:
1 Read all instructions and important safeguards.
2 Remove all packaging materials; make sure all your items are received in good
condition. Tear up and discard all plastic bags as they pose a risk to children.
3 Wash carafe and water reservoir with warm water, using a sponge or dishcloth, and
wipe dry.
Wipe body clean with a damp cloth.
l Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. l Do not immerse the appliance, cord and plug in water for cleaning.
TO OPERATE COFFEE MAKER:
1. Place the coffee maker upright on a dry, sturdy and flat surface.
2. Open water reservoir, fill with water until level indicator shows desired level and
close the lid. Never exceed the MAXIMUM water reservoir.
3. Swing out brewing basket and make sure filter is inside. Fill with the required
amount ground coffee. We recommend one to two tablespoon (s) of ground coffee
per cup desired, however, the necessary amount of grounds differs and is dependent
upon type of coffee, strength of grounds and flavor of coffee desired.
4. Place carafe onto hotplate and push firmly into place. Make sure the lid of carafe is
fitted to the pointed to the dripping hole.
5. Plug into a 220V A/C wall outlet. Press the “ON /OFF” button once. The button will
illuminate showing that the coffee make is ON.
ALWAYS use COLD water
l Do not open lid of water reservoir while coffee is brewing.
l Do not move coffee make in use or immediately after.
l ALWAYS unplug coffee make after brewing and when not in use.
COFFEE BREWING TIPS:
1. Use only fresh or purified cold water. If you must use tap water let it run a few
seconds before filling the carafe.
2. Do not reheat the coffee. It tastes its best immediately after brewing.
3. Finer grounds can provide fuller extraction and richer tasting coffee. However, if the
coffee is ground too fine it may taste bitter.
4. Do not reuse coffee grounds. Once the grounds have been brewed, the desirable
coffee flavors only the bitter flavors are left.
5. Store coffee beans or grounds in a cool dry place. It is recommended to store open
cans or bags of grounds in the refrigerator.
NOTE:
The coffee maker will remain ON for 120 minutes e coffee maker will shut off
automatically after 120 minutes. However, ALWAYS turn the coffee maker OFF
manually when the carafe nears or becomes empty.
HOW TO CLEAN & DECALCIFY
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW FOR CLEANING:
NOTE:
If you want to pour a cup of coffee before entire cycle is complete, remove carafe from
base and coffee will stop flowing. Return the carafe to the hotplate immediately after
pouring to ensure cycle continuation.
CAUTION:
l Do not fill water reservoir with warm or hot water or any other liquid.
1. Unplug from electrical outlet.
2. Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning.
3. Clean the outside of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. To scour the stains or
residues on lid use a non-abrasive cleaner.
4. Wash the carafe and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry thoroughly before
returning to unit.
5. Wipe body dry with a soft dishcloth.
