Alignment of Head Azimuth
1. Set Up Diagram

  • 2. Alianment
    • (1) Insert 14kHz (TCC-154) standard test tape and set the unit to
    • (1) Insert 14612 (100 101) states a set of play mode. (2) Tune the azimuth adjusting screw "F" until you obtain maximum reading on the AC voltmeter (V.V (II)) at the forward position.

Adjust PT201/ PT202 so that the output is within the range of 390±20 mVrms.

Adjust tape speed so that the frequency counter reads 3,000-3,021Hz.
(3) Tune the azimuth adjusting screw "R" until you obtain maximum reading on the AC voltmeter (V.V (I)) at the reverse position.

(4) Repeat the steps 2 and 3 until both position (forward and reverse) is maximum.

Alignment of Dolby reference level (FXC-425GD)

  • 1. Set Up Diagram See Fig. 1.
  • 2. Alignment
    • (1) Insert TCC-130 (A-BEX Dolby Test Tape) and set the unit to play mode. (Adjustment should be done in FORWARD PLAY (2) Adjust PT201 until you obtain reading on AC voltmeter (V. V
    • (I)) 300mV ±1 dB.
    • (3) Adjust PT202 until you obtain reading on AC voltmeter (V. V (1)) 300mV ±1 dB.

ERROR SIGNS -

(Using CD changer:FXC-425GD/FXC-415GD)

If a problem should occur while operating the CD changer, one of the following error signs may be displayed.

Error Sign Cause Remedy
E01 Abnormal disc change function. Check CD changer mechanism.
E07 The disc was inserted incorrectly. Insert the disc properly.
The disc is diry. Clean the disc.
The disc is defective. Use another disc.
Refer to the instructions supplied with the CD changer.
E30 Excessive temperature has been de-
tected in the vehicle.
Allow the car to cool.
Then press the magazine eject button
on the CD changer unit.
NO CD The magazine is not fully inserted into
the changer.
There are no discs in the magazine.
Completely insert the magazine into
the changer until it clicks into place.
Insert discs into the magazine.
The connector is detached. Insert the connector properly.

When using the AX-800, "E-07" is not displayed.
