INSTALLATION AND SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS
X-RADIATION PRE@UTION The primaw soume of X-RADIATION in tei~ision receimr is the pitium tub. TIw @ctum”t@M h apeciaity constructed to limit X-RADIATION emi~ions. ~r continued X-RADIATIG,N pmt=tion, the reple=ment tti must be the
same type as the original including suffix le~er. Exce=ive high ~l~ge m- P~uce po~ntialfy -*US X-RADIATION. To
avoid such hazards, the high voltage must ~ maintain~ within swified limit. Refer to this se~ice manual high vpltage for
s~ific high voltage limits. If high voltage exceeds SfWCifiEKf limitS, take necessary corrective action.
Carefullyfollow the in@~c-
tions for + BI volt power SUPPIY adjustment, and high voltage check to maintain the high voltage wtihin the specified limits.
AGC AtXKISTMENT
NOTE: Do not attempt this adjustment with weak signal.
1.

3.
Tune recewer to most clearest (or strongest) VHF station m
your area.
Set brightness and contrast controls to maximum.
Set colour control to minimum.
Set the AGC (VR101) control 10 mid-range
Turn AGC control In direction which causes snow to appear,
then in the opposite direction until the snow just disappears.
SUB BRIGHTNESS AtLfUSTMENT
1. Connect a DC meter between “TP-H” (posmve lead) and
“TP-G” (negative lead) on main unit.
2.
Receive the circular pattern.
3. Set brightness 10 maximum and contrast to minimum
4. Adjust sub brightness control (VR211) for 0.2V. (CAP3021)
0.3V. (CAP6012)
NOTE: If picture tube replace. Check Sub-brightness ad-
justment.
VERTICAL SIZE ADJUSTMENT
1. Tune the receiver to mono-chrome cwcular paltern
2. Adjust veflical size (VR451) control for full scan.
HORIZONTAL CENTER ADJUSTMENT
1. Tune the receiver to mono-chrome circular pattern.
2. Set the brightness and contrast to maximum.
3. Adjust Video Phase (VR411) for optimum horiz center PC
sition.
B1 POWER SUPPLY ADJUSTMENT
1. Connect DC meter to “TP-B” and ground.
Set the + B1 adjustment control (VR551) to mid-range.
2. Set brightness and contrast to minimum.
Tune the receiver to an actwe channel and synchronize picture.
3. Adjust + B1 adjustment control for 130* 1.0 volt “DC.
TUNING DISPLAY WIDTH AtNUSTMENT
1. Tune the receiver to mono-chrome circular pattern.
2. Set the PRESET switch (SW706) to on.
Tuning bar is displayed on screen.
3. Adjust VR71O for optimum the tuning bar width.
Set the PRESET switch to off.
GREY SCALE AND TRACKING ADJUSTMENT
Tune the receiver to the mono-chrome circular pattern.
1. Set the BRIGHTNESS and the CONTRAST to maximum,
the COLOUR to minimum.
2. Set the SERVICE SWITCH (SW251) at the service side.

Set the DRIVE VOLUME (VR602 and VR612) at their
mechanical center.
Set the BIAS VOLUME (VR601, VR621 and VR611) to minimum. (fully counter clockwise).
Turn the SCREEN VOLUME to obtain just Visible one
coloured line.
Adjust each BIAS VOLUME (VR601-BLUE, VR621-GREEN
and VR611-RED) alternately until a dim white line produced.
Set the SERVICE SWITCH (SW251) at the normal side.
Adjust the DRIVE VOLUME (VR602-BLUE and VR612-RED)
alternately to produce normal black and white picture.
Check for proper grey scale tracking at all brightness levels.
NOT E It grey scale adjustment is made after picture tube
replacement, check high Wage and sub-brightness
