Precautions
Installation
- * Never install the unit in dusty or humid locations, or in close proximity to heating appliances. Also, do not place it near a flower basin or fish bowl, for accidental spillover may cause fire, electrical shock and/or breakdown
- * Keep the unit away from TV sets to avoid buzz noise.
- * Do not remove the cabinet cover or bottom board of the unit.
Don't use thinners on equipment
Use soft, dry cloth to wipe the front panel or the cabinetry of this unit. Never use thinner, alcohol or other solvents, and also when you use aerosol insecticide, be sure to avoid spraying the unit.
Connection
- When connecting, either set the POWER switch to the OFF position or disconnect the power plug from the power socket and then proceed. Check that the left and right channels are con-
- nected properly (L to L and R to R).
- * Insert the plug firmly. Improper or faulty connection can result in noise interference.
AC Outlets
The RS-7 receiver is provided with two power outlets on the rear panel and the supply of power can be switched on and off using the POWER ON/OFF button on the transmitter. Therefore, if the power plugs of the amplifier and turntable are left connected to these outlets, the power ON/OFF operations of your stereo system can be performed by remote control. * The maximum total power capacity which can
be supplied from the two rear panel power outlets is 500 watts. Connecting components whose combined power consumption exceeds this figure is extremely dangerous. Make sure that you check out the power consumption ratings of the components before connection.
Précautions
Installation
- * Ne placez jamais l'appareil dans un endroit poussiéreux ou humide, ou à proximité immédiate d'appareils de chauffage. De même, éviter la proximité de bacs à fleurs ou d'aquariums, car une projection accidentelle d'eau peut être la cause de feu, de court-circuits violents et/ou d'une panne de l'appareil.
- * Ne pas placer l'appareil près d'un poste de télévision pour éviter les grésillements.
- * N'enlevez pas le couvercle anti-poussière ni le panneau de fond de l'appareil.
Ne pas utiliser de produits amincissants pour peinture sur l'appareil
Pour nettoyer le panneau avant du coffret de cet appareil, se servir d'un linge doux et sec. Ne jamais se servir de produits amincissants pour peinture, d'alcools ou d'autres solvents. Eviter de vaporiser des insecticides en aérosol à proximité de l'appareil.
Connexion
- * Au cours des connexions, placer l'interrupteur d'alimentation (POWER) à la position OFF (coupé) ou débrancher la fiche du cordon d'alimentation à sa prise.
- * Vérifier l'exactitude des connexions des canaux qauche et droit (L à L et R à R).
- * Insérer convenablement la fiche, car une connexion défectueuse peut devenir source d'interférences et de bruits.
Prises de courant alternatif (AC)
Le panneau arrière du récepteur RS-7 présente deux prises de courant dont l'alimentation peut être commandée par le bouton de marche/arrêt (POWER ON/OFF) de l'émetteur car elles lui sont couplées. Dès lors, pourvu que les fiches du cordon d'alimentation de l'amplificateur et de la platine tourne-disque restent branchées dans ces prises, il sera possible de donner les ordes de mise en marche/arrêt (ON/OFF) de la chaîne à partir de la télécommande.
* La capacité maximale des deux prises de courant du panneau arrière est de 500 watts et il sera extrêmement dangereux d'y brancher des composants dont la consommation dépasse cette valeur. Dès lors, avant de les connecter, vérifier la consommation électrique des composants utilisés.

Niemals Verdünner zum Reinigen dieses Gerätes verwenden
Frontplatte oder Gehäuse dieses Gerätes mir einem weichen, trockenen Tuch säubern. Niemals Farbverdünner, Alkohol oder andere Lösungs mittel aus einer Aerosoldose versprühen, niemals das Gerät damit besprühen.
Anschluß
- * Beim Anschließen den Netzschalter (POWER) entweder auf "OFF" (Aus) stellen oder den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose ziehen und dann fortfahren.
- * Überprüfen, ob linker und rechter Kanal richtig angeschlossen sind (L zu L und R zu R).
- * Auf festen Sitz der Stecker achten. Ein falscher oder fehlerhafter Anschluß kann zu Störungen führen.
Stromanschlüsse
Der Empfänger RS-7 hat auf der Rückseite zwei Stromanschlüsse und die Stromzufuhr kann mit dem Ein-/Aus-Schalter (POWER ON/OFF) am Sender ein- und ausgeschaltet werden. Läßt man deshalb die Netzstecker des Verstärkers und Plattenspielers mit diesen Anschlüssen verbunden, können die Strom-Ein-/Ausschaltvorgänge (ON/ OFF) Ihrer Stereoanlage fernbedient werden. * Die max. Gesamtleistung, die von den beiden
Anschlüssen auf der Rückseite geliefert werden kann, beträgt 500 Watt. Das Anschließen von Bausteinen, deren Leistungsaufnahme zusammen diesen Wert überschreitet, ist sehr gefährlich. Unbedingt die Stromverbrauchswerte der Bausteine vor dem Anschließen überprüfen.

Tuner Connections
Connect the TUNER terminals of the receiver to the OUTPUT terminals on the tuner using the pin plug cord.
Next, use the parallel cord (red cord for the socket section) to connect the REMOTE CON-TROL terminals on the tuner with the TUNER receptacle on the rear panel of the receiver.
* Connect the power plug of the tuner to the AC outlet on the amplifier or receiver.
Tape Deck Connection
Connect the tape deck's REC terminals with the TAPE REC terminals on the receiver and the tape deck's PLAY terminals with the receiver's TAPE PLAY terminals using the pin plug cords.

AUX Terminals

* When listening to the sound of the component connected to the AUX terminals, only the power may be set to ON or OFF and the volume adjusted by remote control.
When the T-7 is the tuner being used
If you are using the T-7 as your tuner, some of the button functions on the transmitter will not match the markings. Peel off the backing paper of the accessory seal and, referring to the illustration, stick it over the top part of the transmitter. Now refer to "Panel information" for a description of what each button does

Bornes auxiliaires (AUX)
Il est possible de raccorder un second tuner stéréo ou un magnétophone réservé à la lecture aux bornes auxiliaires (AUX) du panneau arrière du récepteur. Raccorder ces bornes à celles marquées OUTPUT de l'appareil stéréo utilisé en se servant d'un cordon à fiche.
A l'écoute du son d'un composant raccordé aux bornes AUX, seuls le réglage du volume et la mise en marche/arrêt (ON/OFF) peuvent être commandés à distance.
A l'emploi du tuner T-7
Si le tuner utilisé est le T-7, certaines fonctions de l'unité émettrice ne correspondront pas aux inscriptions des boutons. Dans ce cas, se servir des auto-collants fournis comme accessoires et, selon l'illustration, les placer sur l'unité émettrice. Se reporter à "Indications sur le panneau" pour déterminer l'inscription de chaque commande.

Bei Verwendung des Tuners T-7
Wenn Sie den Tuner T-7 verwenden, stimmen einige der Tastenfunktionen des Sendeteils nicht mit den Markierungen überein. Das Deckpapier des mitgelieferten Aufklebeteils abziehen und dieses unter Bezugnahme auf die Abbildung über den oberen Teil des Senders kleben.

Panel information
Loading the dry batteries
Following the procedure outlined below, load two IEC R6 (size "AA") dry batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the transmitter.
- Remove the lid of the battery compartment. To do this, simply push the part of the lid with the grooves down and pull in the direction of the arrow in the illustration.
- Load the two batteries matching the polarities (+ and -) marked in the battery compartment. If you place the ribbon inside the compartment underneath the batteries, you will find it easier to take out the batteries when replacing them.
- Remount the lid of the battery compartment following the procedure for its removal in reverse.
Precautions with Battery Handling
Misusing or abusing dry batteries can result in electrolyte leakage or internal damage. Bear in mind the following points:
- * Load the dry batteries with the plus (+) and minus (-) directions aligned with the markings
- * Do not use a new battery with an old or partly used battery.
- * Do not attempt to recharge the batteries (this does not apply to batteries with markings nothing that they can be recharged).
- * Do not heat the batteries, disassemble, shortcircuit or throw them into a fire
- * Keeping already spent batteries in the compartment may lead to electrolyte leakage which will damage the inside.
Replacing the Dry Batteries
When the energy inside the batteries is used up, the infrared-emitting performance of the transmitter deteriorates and remote control operations can no longer be performed. In cases like this, replace the batteries with fresh units.
- * Although it depends on the performance of the dry batteries concerned, they may be used for about 1 year under normal conditions of operation.
- * Use 1.5 V IEC R6 (size "AA") batteries.
Mise en place des piles
Comme expliqué ci-dessous, installer deux piles IEC R6 (taille "AA") dans le logement prévu sur le dos de l'unité émettrice.

1. Ouvrir le couvercle du logement.
- A cet effet, appuyer sur sa partie rayée et la glisser dans le sens de la flèche sur l'illustration.
- Placer les deux piles en respectant leurs polarités dessinées à l'intérieur du logement. Leur enlèvement sera facilité si on les dispose audessus du petit ruban de tissu.
- Replacer le couvercle en inversant la méthode utilisée pour sa dépose.
Précautions à l'utilisation des piles
Une mauvaise utilisation des piles peut entraîner un suitement d'électrolyte et des dégats à l'intérieur de l'appareil. Garder à l'esprit les points suivants:
- Installer les piles conformément aux indications de leurs polarités positive (+) et négative (--). Ne pas mélanger des piles neuves et des usées
- * Ne pas mélanger des piles neuves et des usées. * Ne pas essayer de recharger les piles (sauf celles
- qui peuvent l'être comme l'indique leurs inscriptions).
- * Ne pas chauffer, démonter, court-circuiter les piles, ni les jeter dans un feu.
- * L'électrolyte de piles laissées longtemps dans l'appareil risque de couler et d'endommager l'intérieur.
Remplacement des piles
Une baisse de la charge des piles entraîne une chute des performances photo-émettrices, voire une absence de réponse aux ordres donnés par l'unité émettrice de télécommande. Dans cette éventualité, les piles doivent être remplacées par des neuves.
- * Dans des conditions d'exploitation normales, un jeu de piles assure une autonomie d'environ une année; toutefois, toutes les piles ne se valent pas.
- * Utiliser des piles IEC R6 (taille "AA") de 1,5 V.
Einsetzen der Trockenbatterien
Nach im folgenden aufgeführtem Verfahren vorgehen und zwei Trockenbatterien IEC R6 der Größe "AA" in das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite des Senders einsetzen.
- Den Deckel des Batteriefachs abnehmen. Dazu einfach den gerillten Teil des Deckels nach unten drücken und in die Pfeilrichtung, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt, ziehen.
- Die zwei Batterien polaritätsrichtig nach der Kennzeichnung im Batteriefach (+ und –) einsetzen. Wenn Sie das Band im Batteriefach unter die Batterien legen, können Sie die
- Batterien später zum Auswechseln leichter herausnehmen. 3. Den Batteriefachdeckel wieder anbringen und
- dabei in umgekehrter Reihenfolge wie beim Abnehmen vorgehen.
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen für den Umgang mit Batterien
Falscher Gebrauch von Trockenbatterien kann zum Auslaufen des Elektrolyts oder zu Beschädigung der Innenteile führen. Folgende Punkte beachten:
- * Die Trockenbatterien polaritätsrichtig (plus (+) und minus (--)) nach den Markierungen einsetzen.
- * Nicht eine neue Batterie mit einer alten oder schon gebrauchten Batterie gleichzeitig verwenden.
- Versuchen Sie nicht, die Batterien wieder aufzuladen (dies gilt nicht f ür Batterien mit Wiederaufladehinweis).
- * Die Batterien nicht erwärmen, auseinanderbauen, kurzschließen oder in ein Feuer werfen
- Der Elektrolyt kann auslaufen und Innenteile beschädigen, wenn man schon erschöpfte Batterien länger im Batteriefach läßt
Auswechseln der Trockenbatterien
Wenn die Energie der Batterien erschöpft ist, läßt die Infrarotausstrahlung des Senders nach und Fernbedienungsvorgänge sind nicht mehr möglich. In solchen Fällen die Batterien durch neue ersetzen.
- * Obwohl die Lebensdauer der Batterien von dem jeweilig verwendeten Batterietyp abhängt, kann man im allgemeinen bei normalen Betriebsbedingungen von einer Lebensdauer von etwa einem Jahr ausgehen.

3 Program indicators

4 MUTING indicator

This lights when power is being supplied to the AC outlet on the rear panel of the receiver.
6 Infrared-sensing window
This is where the light sent from the infraredemitting window of the transmitter is sensed.

10 Auto program selector buttons

- Zu Mikrofonmischaufnahmen das am Verstärker angeschlossene Tonbandgerät verwenden. Mikrofonmischaufnahmen können nicht mit dem Tonbandgerät, das an den Empfänger angeschlossen ist, durchgeführt werden.
Aufnahme einer Rundfunksendung bei gleichzeitigem Empfang einer anderen Programmquelle
