5. Troubleshooting

Before attempting repairs: Confirm that the hose is inserted into the main body and that power plug is firmly inserted in the socket.

PROBLEM CHECK REMEDY

Motor does not rotate

Main body

• Power cord unplugged

• Disconnection of motor winding

• Commutator surface broken

• Abrasion or bad connection of carbon brush

• Abrasion or bad connection of cord-reel terminals

• Disconnection of wire

• Wire is separated from connector

• Reconnect power cord

• Motor replacement

• Cord-reel replacement or terminal reconnection

• Reconnect wire

• Connector connection

Hose Part

Suction control on handle does not operate.

Power cord does not wind

Power cord rewinds by itself

• When encountering abnormal use (like continuous operation while the dust bag is full) the protection device operates so as to protect the motor

• If the protection device is actuated, the cleaner does not operat

• Circuit

• Bad connection or contact of terminal plug

• Wire disconnected

• Circuit

• Power cord gathered to one side or twisted

• Preliminary winding of cord-reel is insufficlent

• Grease on the roller brake

• Roller brake abrasions

• Exchange the dust-bag & clean the auxiliary filter

• Remove any dust or alien substances that might clog the hose, extension tube or inlet port.

• After waiting about 20 minutes (with the power plug disconnected), the vacuum cleaner is ready for re-use

• Exchange or repair the hose

• Wire reconnection

• Hose exchange or circuit exchange

• Wind again after pulling 1-2m

• Re-do the preliminary winding

• Remove any grease (use alcohol).

• Dust bag is filled ❈ Dust Indicator

• Make the inlet port airtight (at maximum power), check if the dust

indicator is red. If so, exchange the dust bag. Suction power is weak

• If the suction power is not restored by replacing the dust bag, confirm that dust

or other alien substances are not clogging the hose, extension tube or inlet port.

• Dust indicator is separated from the

main body

• The seal is broken

• Exchange dust bag

• Reassemble the dust indicator securely

• Reassemble each sealing (rubber gasket)

Rotation of motor is weak

• Defective bearings

• Circuit trouble inside the Main Body

• Motor replacement

• Replace circuit

Sparks are unusually big

• Commutator surface is rough

• Carbon brush abrasions

• Motor replacement
