Failure to co mply with the following
precautions may be dangerous or illegal.
Use road safety at all times
Do not use a hand-held phone while driving. Park the vehicle first.
Switch off the phone when refuelling
Do not use the phone at a refuelling point (service station) or near fuels or chemicals.
Switch off in an aircraft
Wireless phones can cause interference. Using them in an aircraft is both illegal and dangerous.
Switch off the phone near all medical equipment
Hospitals or health care facilities may be using equipment that could be sensitive to external radio frequency energy. F ollow any regulations or rules in force.

Be aware of special regulations

Water resistance
Your phone is not water-resistant. Keep it dry.
Sensible use
Use only in the normal position (held to the ear). Avoid unnecessary contact with the antenna when the phone is switched on.

First steps to operate your phone
Install and charge the phone
Install the battery:

To remove the battery, slide the battery catch toward the top of the phone and hold it.
Plug the adapter into the phone.

Use this menu to view the calls you have dialled, received, or missed, and length of your calls.

Outgoing
If Caller Line Identification is available, your phone keeps a list of the 20 most recent outgoing calls that you have made. Contact your service provider for the availability .

This menu lets you view up to 20 of the most recent calls you have received if you are a subscribe to the Caller Line Identification service. Contact your service provider for further details about this service. When you access this menu, a list of the incoming calls displays.
Missed
The phone stores up to 20 of the most recent numbers you have failed to answer. When you access this menu, a list of the missed calls displays.
Erase logs
In this menu, you can erase the entries stored in each of three call logs; outgoing, incoming, and missed calls.

Call timer
Your phone records the amou nt of air time, or talk time used. Using this option, you can view the number of calls to or from your phone, and the air time for all of the calls. You can easily eras e the air time record at any time, except by your service provider will vary.
Contacts
Contacts allows you to store frequently used phone numbers and the associated names in your personal directory to make it e asy for you to make a call without having to remember or enter the ph one number. You can store up to 500 entries including E­mail and URL addresses.

Use this menu to view the total number of contacts you can store in your phone and the number of contacts you have stored.
Messages
Use the text messages to and from other mobile phones. In addition, your phone supports the Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS), which enables you to include simple pictures, melodies, and animated images in your messages. You can also use the Voice mail feature.

Msg setting
In this menu enables you to:
• change the message sending settings.
• change the message alert settings.
• set the phone to automa tically displa y media items in the message when you open the message.
• set the phone to automatically display incoming messages when you receive them.
• set the phone to erase the oldest message in order to free up memory space to receive a new message when the memory for storing incoming messages is full.
• add numbers to the Blocked list so that you can reject messages from that numbers.
• use message templates.

You can schedule up to 9 events for the current day, indicating each event’s starting and ending time. You can even have your phone’s calendar alert you before an event commences. Events scheduled for future dates automatically appear on y our Today events schedule on that day.
