You r k eyset is the most visible par t of the SAMSUNG New-Analog Key system. No matter what model keyset you are using, with or without a display, telephone calls ar e han dled in the sam e way. The NX-24E k eyset has a few add itional conveniences that are not available to NX- 24B and NX-6B k eyset user s. These ar e noted throughout this guide.

Do not use or store in areas with high levels of dirt, dust, or corrosive gas. These places w ill shorten your unit's useful life.
Keep the un it away from hot areas. High temp erature can sh orten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and can even distort or melt certain plastics.
Keep it dry. If water shou ld get on it, wipe it off imm ediately. Water contains minerals that can corrode electronic circuits.
Do not drop you r produ ct. This will likely r esult in failure to operate. Circuit boar ds can crack and cases may not su rvive the impa ct. Handling you r product roughly will shorten its u seful life.
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvent s, or strong detergents to keep your unit looking new. You need only wipe it with a damp ened cloth from time to time.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover of the unit. No s erviceable parts inside. Refer ser vicing to qu alified service personnel. If th e unit is n ot working pr operly, tak e it to your local A/S center .

Making an Outside Call

A free line in the group will be selected, and you will hear a dial tone.

If all lines in the group are busy,¡¸9 ALL BUSY¡¹is displayed, and you will receive a busy signal.
3. Dial the outside telephone number.

To answer a call while you are on the phone, press the flashing line button. The current line is automatically held, and you can talk with the new calling party.

When making an outside call on a dial pulse line, all digits entered after pressing

will be sent as tones.

preprogrammed pause time.

To answer a ringing line or place a call to another intercom station while talking with an intercom station, press the
[DSS ]
button for the desired second station without hanging up. The original station line is automatically disconnected, and the second station will ring. This feature is not available on standard phones.

When connected to an outside line, use this feature. It allows you to hang up the line temporarily without disconnecting. While on hold, the held party will hear music. Any other station may retrieve the outside line system being held.

Intercom calls will always be placed on exclusive hold.
This feature allows you to transfer a call to another station or group. Any outside or intercom call may be transferred, regardless of whether you initiated or received the call.
When you transfer a call, you may wait on the line and announce the call, or you may hang up when you hear the ringback tone. The connection between the caller and the person to whom the call is being
