Precautions When Displaying a Still Image

A still image may cause permanent damage to the TV screen

• Do not display a still image on the LCD panel for more than 2 hours as it can cause screen image retention. This image retention is also known as "screen burn". To avoid such image retention, reduce the degree of brightness and contrast of the screen when displaying a still image.

• Watching the LCD TV in 4:3 format for a long period of time may leave traces of borders displayed on the left, right and

center of the screen caused by the difference of light emission on the screen. Playing a DVD or a game console may cause a similar effect to the screen. Damages caused by the above effect are not covered by the Warranty.

• Displaying still images from Video games and PC for longer than a certain period of time may produce partial after-images.

To prevent this effect, reduce the ‘brightness’ and ‘contrast’ when displaying still images.

Buttons on the Lower-Right Part of the Panel

The buttons on the lower-right panel control your TV’s basic features, including the on-screen menu. To use the more advanced features, you must use the remote control.

Viewing the Connection Panel

Use the connection panel jacks to connect A/V components that will be connected continuously, such as DVD players or a VCR. For more information on connecting equipment, see pages 6~11.

S-VIDEO Connects an S-Video signal from a camcorder or VCR.

Connects to the HDMI jack of a device with an HDMI output.

- No sound connection is needed for an HDMI to HDMI connection.

Installing Batteries in the Remote Control

1. Lift the cover at the back of the remote control upward as shown in the figure.

2. Install two AAA size batteries.

Make sure to match the "+" and "–" ends of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment.

3. Replace the cover. Remove the batteries and store them in a cool, dry place if you won’t be using the remote control for a long time.

If the remote control doesn’t work, check the following:

1. Is the TV power on?

2. Are the plus and minus ends of the batteries reversed?

3. Are the batteries drained?

4. Is there a power outage or is the power cord unplugged?

5. Is there a special fluorescent light or neon sign nearby?

Connecting VHF and UHF Antennas

If your antenna has a set of leads that look like the diagram to the right, see "Antennas with

300 Ω Flat Twin Leads" below.

If your antenna has one lead that looks like the diagram to the right, see "Antennas with 75 Ω Round Leads". If you have two antennas, see "Separate VHF and UHF Antennas".

If you are using an off-air antenna (such as a roof antenna or "rabbit ears") that has 300 Ω twin at leads, follow the directions

below.

1. Place the wires from the twin leads under the screws on a 300-75 Ω adapter

(not supplied). Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws.

2. Plug the adaptor into the ANT IN terminal on the back of the TV.

Separate VHF and UHF Antennas

If you have two separate antennas for your TV (one VHF and one UHF), you must combine the two antenna signals before connecting the antennas to the TV. This procedure requires an optional combiner-adaptor (available at most electronics shops).

Connecting Cable TV

To connect to a cable TV system, follow the instructions below.

Cable without a Cable Box

1. Plug the incoming cable into the ANT IN terminal on the back of the TV.

Because this TV is cable-ready, you do not need a cable box to view unscrambled cable channels.

Connecting to a Cable Box that Descrambles All Channels

1. Find the cable that is connected to the ANT OUT terminal on your cable box. This terminal might be labeled "ANT OUT", "VHF OUT" or simply, "OUT".

2. Connect the other end of this cable to the ANT IN terminal on the back of the TV.

Connecting to a Cable Box that Descrambles Some Channels

If your cable box descrambles only some channels (such as premium channels), follow the instructions below. You will need a twoway splitter, an RF (A/B) switch and four lengths of RF cable. (These items are available at most electronics stores.)

Find and disconnect the cable that is connected to the ANT IN terminal on your cable box.

This terminal might be labeled "ANT IN", "VHF IN" or simply, "IN".

After you have made this connection, set the A/B switch to the "A" position for normal viewing. Set the A/B switch to the "B" position to view scrambled channels. (When you set the A/B switch to "B", you will need to tune your TV to the cable box’s output channel, which is usually channel 3 or 4.)

Connecting a DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) via HDMI

This connection can only be made if there is an HDMI Output connector on the external device.

1. Connect an HDMI Cable between the HDMI IN (1, 2, 3 or 4) jack on the TV and the HDMI jack on the DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box).

What is HDMI?

• HDMI(High-Definition Multimedia Interface), is an interface that enables the transmission of digital audio and video signals using a single cable.

• The difference between HDMI and DVI is that the HDMI device is smaller in size and has the HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) coding feature installed.

Each DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) has a different back panel configuration.

The TV may not output sound and pictures may be displayed with abnormal color when DVD players/Cable Boxes/Satellite receivers supporting HDMI versions older than 1.3 are connected. When connecting an older HDMI cable and there is no sound, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN 2 jack and the audio cables to the DVI IN (HDMI2) [R-AUDIO-L] jacks on the back of the TV. If this happens, contact the company that provided the DVD player/Cable Box/Satellite receiver to confirm the HDMI version, then request an upgrade.

HDMI cables that are not 1.3 may cause annoying flicker or no screen display.

Connecting a DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) via DVI

This connection can only be made if there is a DVI Output connector on the external device.

1. Connect a DVI to HDMI Cable or DVI-HDMI Adapter between the HDMI IN 2 jack on the TV and the DVI jack on the DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box).

The rear panel jacks on your TV make it easy to connect a DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) to your TV.

1. Connect a Component Cable between the COMPONENT IN (1 or 2) [Y, PB, PR] jacks on the TV and the COMPONENT [Y, PB, PR] jacks on the DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box).

2. Connect Audio Cables between the COMPONENT IN(1 or 2) [R-AUDIO-L] jacks on the TV and the AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box).

Component video separates the video into Y (Luminance (brightness)), Pb (Blue) and Pr (Red) for enhanced video quality. Be sure to match the component video and audio connections. For example, if connecting the video cable to COMPONENT IN 1, connect the audio cable to COMPONENT IN 1 also.

configuration.

Connecting a Camcorder

The side panel jacks on your TV make it easy to connect a camcorder to your TV. They allow you to view the camcorder tapes without using a VCR.

1. Connect a Video Cable (or S-Video Cable) between the AV IN 2 [VIDEO] (or S-VIDEO) jack on the TV and the VIDEO OUT jack on the camcorder.

2. Connect Audio Cables between the AV IN 2 [R-AUDIO-L] jacks on the TV and the AUDIO OUT jacks on the camcorder.

Connecting a VCR

Video Connection

These instructions assume that you have already connected your TV to an antenna or a cable TV system (according to the instructions on pages 6~7). Skip step 1 if you have not yet connected to an antenna or a cable system.

1. Unplug the cable or antenna from the back of the TV.

2. Connect the cable or antenna to the ANT IN terminal on the back of the VCR.

3. Connect an RF Cable between the ANT OUT terminal on the VCR and the ANT IN terminal on the TV.

4. Connect a Video Cable between the VIDEO OUT jack on the VCR and the AV IN 1 or AV IN 2 [VIDEO] jack on the TV.

5. Connect Audio Cables between the AUDIO OUT jacks on the VCR and the AV IN 1 (or AV IN 2) [R-AUDIO-L] jacks on the TV.

If you have a “mono”

(non-stereo) VCR, use a Y-connector (not supplied) to hook up to the right and left audio input jacks of the TV. If your VCR is stereo, you must connect two cables.

2. Connect a 3.5 mm Stereo mini-plug/2RCA Cable between the DVI IN(HDMI2) [R-AUDIO-L] jack on the TV and the Audio Out jack of the sound card on your computer.

Turning the TV On and Off

When the TV is initially powered on, basic settings proceed automatically and subsequently :

“Home Use” (Standard): Press the Volume button on the TV. When the volume

OSD is displayed, press and hold the MENU button on the TV for 5 seconds.

4. The message "Check antenna input." is displayed with "OK" selected. Press the ENTER button.

Memorizing the Channels

Your TV can memorize and store all of the available channels for both "off-air" (Air) and "Cable" channels. After the available channels are memorized, use the CH< or CH> button to scan through the channels. This eliminates the need to change channels by entering the channel digits. There are three steps for memorizing channels: selecting a broadcast source, memorizing the channels (automatic) and adding or deleting channels (Channel Manager).

Selecting the Video Signal-source

Before your television can begin memorizing the available channels, you must specify the type of signal source that is connected to the TV (i.e. an Air or a Cable system).

1. Press the MENU button to display the menu.

Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "Channel", then press the ENTER button.

2. Press the ENTER button. Repeatedly press the ▲ or ▼ button to cycle through these choices: "Air", "STD", "HRC", or "IRC" (all cable TV).

Press the ENTER button. STD, HRC and IRC identify various types of cable TV systems.

Contact your local cable company to identify the type of cable system that exists in your particular area. At this point, the signal source has been selected.

Changing the Screen Size

Occasionally, you may want to change the size of the image on your screen. Your TV comes with various screen size options, each designed to work best with specific types of video input. Your cable box or satellite receiver may have its own set of screen sizes as well. In general, though, you should view the TV in 16:9 mode as much as possible.

1. Follow the “Activating Picture Options” instructions numbers 1 and 2.

Digital Noise Reduction

If the broadcast signal received by your TV is weak, you can activate the Digital Noise Reduction feature to help reduce any static and ghosting that may appear on the screen.

The TV can be set to automatically sense and process film signals from all sources and adjust the picture for optimum quality.

Setting the Blue Only Mode

This function is for AV device measurement experts. This function displays the blue signal only by removing the red and green signals from the video signal so as to provide a Blue Filter effect that is used to adjust the Color and Tint of video equipment such as DVD players, Home Theaters, etc. Using this function, you can adjust the Color and Tint to preferred values appropriate to the signal level of each video device using the Red/Green/Blue/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow Color Bar Patterns, without using an additional Blue Filter.

Viewing Picture-in-Picture

You can use the PIP feature to simultaneously watch two video sources. (See page 30 to select the PIP picture sound.) This product has one built-in tuner, which does not allow PIP to function in the same mode. Please see ‘PIP Settings’ below for details.

Connecting Headphones (Sold separately)

You can connect a set of headphones to your set if you wish to watch a TV program without disturbing other people in the room.

When you insert the headphone’s plug into the headphone jack, you can operate “MTS” (in TV mode), “Auto Volume” and “Sound Select” (in PIP mode) in Sound menu.

Prolonged use of headphones at a high volume may damage your hearing. You will not hear sound from the speakers when you connect headphones to the TV. The headphone volume and TV volume are adjusted separately.

Child Lock cannot be released using the buttons on the side. Only the remote control can release the Child Lock setting, so keep the remote control away from children.

Using Your TV as a Computer (PC) Display

Setting Up Your PC Software (Based on Windows XP)

The Windows display-settings for a typical computer are shown below. The actual screens on your PC will probably be different, depending upon your particular version of Windows and your particular video card. However, even if your actual screens look different, the same basic set-up information will apply in almost all cases. (If not, contact your computer manufacturer or Samsung Dealer.)

First, click on “Control Panel” on the Windows start menu.

How to Auto Adjust

Use the Auto Adjust function to have the TV set automatically adjust the video signals it receives.

The function also automatically ne-tunes the settings and adjusts the frequency values and positions.

This function does not work in DVI-Digital mode.

Adjusting the Screen Quality

The purpose of the picture quality adjustment is to remove or reduce picture noise. If the noise is not removed by fine tuning alone, then make the vertical frequency adjustments on your PC and fine tune again. After the noise has been reduced, re-adjust the picture so that it is aligned on the center of the screen.

The Analog Caption function operates when watching regular analog channels or when you have an analog external component (such as a VCR) connected.

This feature adjusts the brightness of the TV in order to reduce power consumption. When watching TV at night, set the "Energy Saving" mode option to "High" to reduce eye fatigue as well as power consumption.

WISELINK

Using the WISELINK Function

You can view movies and photos and listen to music les stored on a USB Mass Storage

Class (MSC) device.

Press the POWER button on the remote control or your set.

Connect a USB device containing Music, Photo and Movie les to the WISELINK jack

(USB jack) on the side of the TV. If you enter the WISELINK mode with no USB device connected the message “There

is no device connected” will appear. In this case, insert the USB device, exit the screen by pressing the W.LINK button on the remote control and enter the WISELINK screen again.

Only alphanumeric characters must be used as a folder name or filename (photo, music and movie).

The file system only supports FAT16/32 (The NTFS file system is not supported)

Certain types of USB Digital camera and audio devices may not be compatible with this TV.

Wiselink only supports the USB Mass Storage Class device (MSC). MSC is a Mass Storage Class Bulk-Only Transport device. Examples of MSC are Thumb drives and Flash Card Readers (Both USB HDD and HUB are not supported.)

Before connecting your device to the TV, please back up your files to prevent them from damage or loss of data. SAMSUNG is not responsible for any data file damage or data loss.

Please connect directly to the USB port of your TV. If you are using a separate cable connection, there may be a USB Compatibility problem.

Only music(MP3), photo(JPEG) and movie(AVI, MP4, PS) file formats are supported.

The Wiselink mp3 format only supports music files with a high sampling frequency (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, or 48 kHz).

We recommend the sequential jpeg format.

Do not disconnect the USB device while it is loading.

MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) is not supported.

The playing duration of an mp3 file may be displayed as ‘00:00:00’ if its playing time information is not found at the start of the file.

The higher the resolution of the image, the longer it takes to display on the screen.

The Photo or Music List displays up to 300 folders or files.

Loading may take some time depending on the size of the file.

Moving to a photo may take a few seconds to load the file. At this point, the

icon will appear at the top left of the screen.

It takes time to show JPEG files as Thumbnail images.

This menu only shows files whose file extension is jpg. Files of other formats

such as bmp or tiff will not be displayed. The files are displayed on a page. 15 thumbnail photos are displayed per page. The thumbnails are numbered from left to right and from top to bottom, from 1 to 15. Certain types of USB Digital camera and audio devices may not be compatible with this TV. Folders are displayed first and they are followed by all JPEG files in the current folder. The folders and JPEG files are

sorted in alphabetical order. If the photo is displayed in full screen, you can zoom in and out or rotate the photo on the screen. While a full screen is displayed, ◄ or ► button will let you see another photo image in the same folder. Press the button when a Photo icon is selected to start a Slide Show. Photos without EXIF information may not be displayed as thumbnail images in the PHOTO LIST depending on the

picture quality and resolution.

Anynet+ is a function that enables you to control all connected Samsung devices that support Anynet+ with your Samsung TV’s remote.

Setting Up Anynet

Scanning and Switching between Anynet+ Devices

1. Press the TOOLS button.

Then press the ENTER button to select “Anynet+(HDMI-CEC)”.

Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select “Setup”, then press the ENTER button.

3. If you cannot find a device you want, press the ▲ or ▼ button to select "Searching

Connections", then press the ENTER button. The meassage "Configuring Anynet+ connection..." is displayed. When searching devices completes, the connected devices are listed in the Anynet+ menu.

Switching to the selected devices may take up to 2 minutes. You cannot cancel the

operation during the switching operation.

The time required to scan for devices is determined by the number of connected

devices.

When the device scan is complete, the number of devices found are not displayed. Although the TV automatically scans devices when it is turned on using the POWER

button, devices connected when the TV is already on are not displayed in the device list. In this case, select the “Searching Connections” menu to search devices.

If you have selected external input mode by pressing the SOURCE button, you cannot

use the Anynet+ function. Make sure to switch to an Anynet+ device by using the

TOOLS button.

Anynet+ Menu

The Anynet+ menu changes depending on the type and status of the Anynet+ devices connected to the TV.

Anynet+ Menu Description

View TV Switches from Anynet+ to TV broadcast mode.

Record Starts a recording. (This menu works only for a device supporting recording.) (Device_Name) Menu Shows the menu of the connected device.

Example: When a DVD Recorder is connected, the DVD Recorder’s title menu appears.

The Anynet+ function only works when the active source on the TV remote control is set to TV. The REC button works only while in the recordable state. You cannot control Anynet+ devices using the buttons on the TV. You can control Anynet+ devices only using the TV remote

control. The TV remote control may not work under certain conditions. In this case, reselect the Anynet+ device. The Anynet+ functions do not operate with other manufacturers’ products. The , operations may differ depending on the device.

Recording

You can make a recording of a TV program using a recorder.

Press the REC button. Recording begins. (Only when the Anynet

enabled recording device is connected.)

You can record the source streams by selecting "Record" after pressing the TOOLS button. Pressing the REC button will record whatever you are currently watching. If you are watching video from another device, the

video from the device is recorded.

Before recording, check whether the antenna jack is properly connected to the recording device. To properly connect an

antenna to a recording device, refer to the recording devices users manual.

Listening through a Receiver (Home theater)

You can listen to sound through a receiver instead of the TV speaker.

Press the TOOLS button. Then press the ENTER button to select “Anynet+(HDMI-

2. Press the ◄ or ► button to select to "On", then press the ENTER button.

Now you can listen to sound through the receiver.

If your receiver supports audio only, it may not appear in the device list. When using the WISELINK feature, sound may not output properly through the receiver. When listening through the receiver, there are restrictions for using the PIP and audio-

related(MTS, Preferred language) menus.

If there is a power interruption to the TV when the “Receiver” is set to “On” (by disconnecting the power cord or a power

failure), the “TV Speaker” may be set to “Off” when you turn the TV on again. (refer to page 29)

The message Connecting to Anynet+ device... appears on the screen.

The Anynet+ device does not play. You cannot use the play function when Plug & Play is in progress. The connected device is not

displayed.

The TV program cannot be recorded.

■ Check if the device is an Anynet+ device. The Anynet+ system supports Anynet+ devices only.

■ Connect only one receiver (home theater).

■ Check if the Anynet+ device power cord is properly connected.

■ Check the Anynet+ device’s Video/Audio/HDMI1.3 cable connections.

■ Check whether Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is set to On in the Anynet+ setup menu.

■ Check whether the TV remote control is in TV mode.

■ Check whether it is Anynet+ exclusive remote control.

■ Anynet+ doesn’t work at a certain condition. (Searching channels, Operating

WISELINK, Plug & Play)

■ When connecting or removing the HDMI1.3 cable, please make sure to search

devices again or restart your TV.

■ Check if the Anynet+ Function of Anynet+ device is set on.

■ Check if the Anynet+ device is properly connected to the TV and check if the Anynet+

(HDMI-CEC) is set to On in the Anynet+ Setup menu.

■ Press the TV button on the TV remote control to switch to TV. Then press the TOOLS button to show the Anynet+ menu and select a menu you want.

■ Select View TV in Anynet+ menu.

■ Press the SOURCE button on the TV remote control and select a device other than

Anynet+ devices.

■ Press any of CH</> and PRE-CH to change the TV mode. (Note that the channel button operates only when a tuner-embedded Anynet+ device is not connected.)

■ You cannot use the remote control when you are configuring Anynet+ or switching to a view mode.

■ Use the remote control when the Anynet+ setting or switching to view mode is complete.

■ Check whether or not the device supports Anynet+ functions.

■ Check whether or not the HDMI1.3 cable is properly connected.

■ Check whether Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is set to On in the Anynet+ setup menu.

■ Search Anynet+ devices again.

■ You can connect an Anynet+ device using the HDMI1.3 cable only. Some HDMI

cables may not support Anynet+ functions.

■ If it is terminated by an abnormal situation such as disconnecting the HDMI1.3 cable

or power cord or a power failure, please repeat the device scan.

Troubleshooting

If the TV seems to have a problem, rst try this list of possible problems and solutions. If none of these troubleshooting tips apply, call your nearest Samsung service center.

Picture has a Red/Green or Pink tint.

Closed Captioning not working. If you are using a Cable/Satellite box, you must set Closed Captioning on the box,

Snowy picture. Your cable box may need a firmware upgrade. Please contact your Cable company. Ghosting on picture. This is sometimes caused by compatibility issues with your cable box.

Adjust the antenna. Check all wire connections.

Securing the TV to the Wall

Colocar pilhas no controle remoto

1. Levante a tampa localizada na parte traseira do controle remoto, conforme mostrado na figura.

2. Colocar duas pilhas de tamanho AAA.

As polaridades "+" e "-" das pilhas têm de coincidir com o diagrama no interior do compartimento das pilhas.

3. Volte a colocar a tampa. Se o controle remoto não for ser utilizado por muito tempo, retirar as pilhas e guarda-las em um local fresco e seco.

O que é HDMI?

• HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), ou seja, interface multimídia de alta

definição, é uma interface de próxima geração que habilita a transmissão digital

de sinais de vídeo e de áudio com apenas um cabo.

• A diferença entre HDMI e DVI é que o dispositivo HDMI é menor e tem instalado o

recurso de codificação HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection - Proteção

de Conteúdo Digital de Alta Largura de Banda).

Cada DVD Player ou receptor/decodificador de Satélite (Set-Top) possui uma configuração diferente para o painel traseiro.

A TV pode não emitir som ou as imagens podem ser exibidas com cores anormais

quando estiverem conectados DVD players/cabos/receptores de satélite que suportem versões HDMI anteriores à 1.3. Ao conectar um cabo HDMI mais antigo e

não ouvir o som, conecte o cabo HDMI à entrada HDMI IN 2 e os cabos de áudio às entradas DVI IN (HDMI2) [R-AUDIO-L] na parte traseira da TV. Se isto acontecer, entre em contato com a empresa fornecedora do DVD player/Cabo/receptor de

satélite para confirmar a versão HDMI, em seguida, solicite uma atualização. Cabos HDMI diferentes da versão 1.3 podem causar distúrbios de cintilação na imagem

Memorizar os canais

Sua TV pode memorizar e armazenar todos os canais disponíveis para os canais "Ar" e "cabo". Após a memorização dos canais, utilize os botões CH< ou CH> para realizar uma varredura dos canais. Com isso, você não precisará mudar os canais, inserindo seus dígitos. Três etapas são necessárias para a memorização de canais: Seleção de uma fonte de transmissão, memorização dos canais (automática) e adição ou exclusão de canais (Gestor canais).

Selecionar a fonte do sinal de vídeo

Antes que o televisor possa começar a memorizar os canais disponíveis, é preciso especicar o tipo de fonte de sinal ligada ao

televisor (ex. uma antena ou um sistema de televisão a cabo).

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Pressione os botões ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Canal" e, em seguida, pressione o

botão ENTER .

1. Primeiro, selecionar a fonte de sinal correta (Ar, STD, HRC, ou IRC).

2. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Prog. Auto".

Pressione o botão ENTER .

3. Pressione os botões ENTER para selecionar "Iniciar". O televisor começa a memorizar todos os canais disponíveis.

O televisor percorre automaticamente todos os canais disponíveis e grava-os na memória. Esta operação demora de um a dois minutos. Pressione ENTER a qualquer momento para interromper o processo de

memorização e voltar ao menu "Canal".

Concluída a memorização de todos os canais, o menu "Canal" reaparece na tela.

Pressione o botão EXIT para sair.

Para interromper a busca antes de terminar, pressione o botão ENTER

com "Parar" selecionado.

Alterando o padrão de imagem

Você pode ativar os modos Dinâmico, Padrão ou Filme selecionando a partir do menu.

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu. Pressione o botão ENTER para selecionar "Imagem".

2. Pressione o botão ENTER para selecionar "Modo".

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar a definição de imagem "Dinâmico",

2. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar um item específico, “Luz de fundo”, “Contraste”, “Brilho”, “Nitidez”, “Cor” ou “Matiz ”e, em seguida, pressione o botão ENTER .

3. Pressione o botão ◄ ou ► para diminuir ou aumentar o valor de um item

particular. Pressione o botão ENTER . Pressione o botão EXIT para sair.

Ao efetuar ajustes em “Luz de fundo”, “Contraste”, “Brilho”, “Nitidez”, “Cor” ou

“Matiz ” o OSD será ajustado de acordo.

No modo PC, você pode efetuar ajustes em “Luz de fundo”, “Contraste”, e

“Brilho”.

As definições podem ser ajustadas separadamente para cada entrada da TV.

A energia consumida durante o uso pode ser reduzida de maneira expressiva

se o nível de brilho da imagem for reduzido; isto irá reduzir o custo geral de funcionamento.

Nos modos TV, AV1, AV2 e S-Video do sistema PAL, você não poderá utilizar

a função “Matiz”.

Alterando o tamanho da tela

É possível que você queira alterar o tamanho da imagem na tela. A sua TV vem com cinco opções de tamanho de tela, projetadas para o melhor desempenho com tipos específicos de entrada de vídeo. O cabo ou receptor de satélite também pode ter a própria configuração de tamanhos de tela. Geralmente, você deve visualizar a TV no

modo 16:9 o máximo possível.

1. Siga as instruções em "Ativando as opções de imagem” números 1 e 2.

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Tamanho" e, em seguida,

Definindo o modo somente azul

Esta função destina-se aos conhecedores de medição AV. Esta função exibe somente o sinal azul através da remoção dos sinais vermelho e verde do sinal de vídeo de forma que forneça um efeito Filtro azul (Blue Filter) utilizado para ajustar a cor e a matiz do

equipamento de vídeo como DVD players, Home Theaters, etc.

Com esta função, você pode ajustar a cor e a matiz conforme valores de sua preferência apropriados ao nível de sinal de cada dispositivo de vídeo, utilizando os padrões da barra

de cores Vermelho/Verde/Azul/Ciano/Magenta/Amarelo, sem usar o Filtro azul adicional.

Controle automático de volume

Reduz as diferenças de nível de volume entre emissoras.

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Som" e, em seguida, pressione o

botão ENTER .

2. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Volume Automático" e, em seguida,

pressione o botão ENTER .

3. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Deslig." ou "Lig." e, em

seguida, pressione o botão ENTER . Pressione o botão EXIT para sair.

A saída de som dos alto-falantes da TV é desativada.

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Quando “Alto-falante da TV” é definido em “Deslig.”, os menus de som com

exceção de “MTS” e “Seleção do Som ”(no modo PIP) não podem ser ajustados. Os botões VOL , VOL e MUTE não funcionam quando a opção “Alto-falante

da TV” estiver ajustada para “Deslig.”.

Como ouvir o som da sub-imagem (PIP)

Com o recurso PIP ativado, pode-se ouvir o som da sub-imagem.

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Som" e, em seguida, pressione o

botão ENTER .

2. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Seleção do Som" e, em seguida,

pressione o botão ENTER .

3. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Principal" ou "Subtela" e, em

seguida, pressione o botão ENTER . Pressione o botão EXIT para sair.

 Principal: Usado para ouvir o som da imagem principal.  Subtela: Usado para ouvir o som da sub-imagem.

Selecione esta opção quando "PIP" estiver “Lig.”.

Conectando os fones de ouvido (Vendido separadamente)

Você pode conectar um conjunto de fones de ouvido ao seu aparelho se quiser assistir a um programa de TV sem incomodar as

outras pessoas que estão na mesma sala.

Se você inserir o conector no fone de ouvido, poderá operar o “MTS” (no modo de TV), “Volume Automático” e “Seleção do Som” (no modo PIP) no menu Som.

O uso prolongado de fones de ouvido em um volume alto pode prejudicar sua

audição.

Você não ouvirá o som dos alto-falantes quando conectar os fones de ouvido à TV.

O volume do fone de ouvido e da TV são ajustados separadamente.

Você pode adicionar ou excluir um canal, para exibir somente os canais desejados.

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Canal" e, em seguida, pressione o

botão ENTER .

2. Pressione os botões ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Gestor canais" e, em seguida,

pressione o botão ENTER .

3. Pressione o botão ENTER para selecionar "Lista de canais".

4. Pressione o botão ► para selecionar a coluna " ".

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar o canal desejado e pressione o botão

ENTER para cancelar. Se você pressionar novamente o botão ENTER , o símbolo ( ) próximo

ao canal irá desaparecer e o canal não será adicionado.

6. Repita a etapa 5 para cada canal selecionado ou cancelado.

Pressione o botão

EXIT para sair.

" " está ativo quando o "Bloqueio de Canais" é selecionado como "Lig.".

Ativando o bloqueio para criança

Este recurso permite que você impeça usuários não autorizados, como crianças, de assistirem a programas inadequados ao ativar o mute do vídeo e do áudio. Não é possível desativar o Bloqueio para crianças usando os botões laterais. Somente o controle remoto pode desativar o ajuste do Bloqueio para crianças, portanto mantenha-o afastado delas.

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Canal" e, em seguida, pressione

o botão ENTER .

2. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Gestor canais" e, em seguida,

pressione o botão ENTER .

3. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Bloqueio de Canais" e, em seguida,

pressione o botão ENTER .

4. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Lig.". Pressione o botão ENTER .

5. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Lista de canais" e, em seguida,

pressione o botão ENTER .

6. Pressione o botão ► para selecionar a coluna " ".

7. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar os canais que deseja bloquear, e

pressione o botão ENTER . Se você pressionar novamente o botão ENTER , o símbolo ( ) symbol

next próximo ao canal irá desaparecer e o canal não será adicionado.

8. Repita a etapa 7 para cada canal bloqueado ou desbloqueado. Pressione o botão EXIT para sair.

Selecione "Lig." ou "Deslig.", "Bloqueio de Canais" para trocar facilmente os canais selecionados em " " como ativos ou inativos.

Uma tela azul é exibida quando o “Bloqueio de Canais” é ativado.

O “Bloqueio de Canais” não fica disponível quando o PIO está ativado.

Utilizar a sintonia na para obter a melhor recepção de um determinado canal.

1. Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Canal” e, em seguida, pressione o

botão ENTER .

2. Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Sintonia fina" e, em seguida,

pressione o botão ENTER .

3. Pressione o botão ◄ ou ► para ajustar a sintonização fina.

Para armazenar a definição da sintonização fina na memória da TV, pressione o

botão ENTER . Se você não armazenar o canal de sintonização fina na memória, os ajustes

não serão salvos.

4. Para retornar a sintonização fina, pressione o ▼ botão para selecionar "Padrão"

e depois pressione o botão ENTER . Pressione o botão EXIT para sair.

"*" aparecerá junto ao nome dos canais com sintonia fina.

Usando o recurso de sistema de cor

Normalmente, a TV pode receber imagem e som de boa qualidade quando está no modo AUTO. Este modo detecta

automaticamente o sistema de cores do sinal. Em caso do de recepção de sinal com cores e insatisfatórias, selecione o Modo do

sistema de cor como PAL-M, PAL-N ou NTSC.

Pressione o botão MENU para exibir o menu.

Pressione o botão ▲ ou ▼ para selecionar "Canal" e, em seguida, pressione o

botão ENTER .
