Safety precautions

When using your device while driving, follow local regulations in the region you are in.

Never disassemble or modify your device for any reason. Doing this may cause the device to malfunction or become combustible. Bring the device to an authorized service center to repair it.

Keep your device and all accessories out of the reach of small children or animals. Small parts may cause choking or serious injury if swallowed.

Avoid exposing your device to very cold or very hot temperatures (below 0° C or above 45° C). Extreme temperatures can cause the deformation of the device and reduce the charging capacity and life of your device.

Do not allow your device to get wet — liquids can cause serious damage. Do not handle your device with wet hands. Water damage to your device can void your manufacturer’s warranty.

Avoid using your device’s light close to the eyes of children or animals.

Getting started

Charging the hands-free car kit

This hands-free car kit has a rechargeable internal battery which is nonremovable. Ensure that you fully charge the battery before using the hands-free car kit for the first time.

1 Plug the small end of the cigar lighter adapter into the adapter jack.

2 Plug the large end of the cigar lighter adapter into the accessory outlet in your vehicle.

3 When the hands-free car kit is fully charged, the charging icon is no longer moving. Unplug the cigar lighter adapter from hands-free car kit.

You can also use the travel adapter to charge the hands-free car kit.

Use only a Samsung-approved charger. Unauthorized chargers may cause an explosion or damage to the hands-free car kit.

The battery will gradually wear out while charging or discharging because it is a consumable part.

When the battery charge gets low

The hands-free car kit beeps and the battery icon is blinking. Recharge the battery. If the hands-free car kit powers off during a call, the call will be automatically transferred to the phone.

Mount the hands-free car kit in your vehicle

Slide the hands-free car kit onto a sun visor in your vehicle .

Using your hands-free car kit

This section explains how to turn the hands-free car kit on, pair and connect to the phone, and use various functions.

Activated functions and features may differ depending on the types of your phone.

Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by Bluetooth SIG, may be incompatible with your hands-free car kit.

Turning the hands-free car kit on or off

To turn the hands-free car kit on, slide the Power switch left. The hands-free car kit beeps and the display is on.

To turn the hands-free car kit off, slide the Power switch right. The hands-free car kit beeps and the display is off.

Turning the driving mode on or off

In Pairing mode, press and hold the voice button for 4 seconds. You can also use the voice command "Driving Mode Setting."

When the driving mode is on, you will hear "Driving mode is on."

Using the voice command

You can control your hands-free car kit using your voice. Your hands-free car kit can recognize only English commands.

1 Press the Voice button to activate the voice command

To use the voice command feature, ensure that the voice prompt is on. 2 Wait for the hands-free car kit ask you to “Say a command.”

If you don’t say any command for 5 seconds, you will hear, “Cancelled.” To reactivate the voice command, press the Voice button.

3 Say one of the following commands loudly and clearly.

Enter the Active pairing mode

Enter the Normal pairing mode

Find out if the hands-free car kit is connected

 

to the device or not.

“Redial”

Redial the last number you called on the

 

currently connected primary phone.

“Redial Two”

Redial the last number you called on the

 

currently connected secondary phone.

“Call 1”, “Call2” or “Call 3”

Call the corresponding speed dial number

 

stored on your phone.

'"Missed call back"

Call the latest missed call stored on your phone.

"Incoming call back"

Call the latest incoming call stored on your phone.

"Outgoing call back"

Call the latest outgoing call stored on your phone.

“Multi Point Setting”

Check the status of Multi-Point mode, and

 

turn it on or off. Say “Yes” or “No” to change

 

the mode.

“Check Battery”

Check the battery level on the hands-free car

 

kit and the currently connected phone.

“Phone Voice Command”

Access your phone’s voice dialing feature, if

 

it has one.

“No“ to change the mode.

Your hands-free car kit may not recognize voice commands if you speak softly or unclearly.

Your hands-free car kit may inadvertently recognize voice commands from background sounds that are louder than your voice.

Using the voice prompt

The voice prompt will inform you about the current status of the hands-free car kit and usage instructions. The voice prompt is available in English only.
