Safety precautions

Never disassemble or modify your headset for any reason. Doing this may •
cause the headset to malfunction or become combustible. Bring the headset to
an authorized service center to repair it.

When using your headset while driving, follow local regulations in the region •
you are in.

Avoid storage at high temperatures (above 50 °C/122 °F), such as in a hot •
vehicle or in direct sunlight, as this can damage performance and reduce

battery life.
Do not expose the headset or any of its supplied parts to rain or other liquids.•

Excessive exposure to sound at high volumes can cause hearing damage. Always
turn the volume down before plugging the earphones into an audio source and use
only the minimum volume setting necessary to hear your conversation or music.

Getting started

This section explains what to remember for the proper use of your Bluetooth
headset.

You can hear a beep when the volume level of the headset reaches to the lowest
or highest level.

Charging the headset

This headset has a rechargeable internal battery which is non-removable. Ensure

that you fully charge the battery before using the headset for the rst time.

Plug the headset into the charging cradle.1

Open the cover to the charger jack on the back of the charging cradle.2

Plug the small end of the travel adapter into the charger jack.3

Plug the large end of the travel adapter into a power outlet.4

During charging, the indicator light will turn red. If charging does not begin,

unplug the travel adapter and plug it in again.

When the headset is fully charged, the indicator light changes to blue. Unplug 5

the travel adapter from the power outlet and unplug the headset from the
charging cradle.

Use only a Samsung-approved travel adapter. Unauthorized travel adapters may •
cause an explosion or damage to the headset.

The battery will gradually wear out while charging or discharging because it is a •
consumable part.

While charging, the headset goes into charging mode and deactivates other •
functions.

When the battery charge gets low

The headset beeps and the indicator light ashes red. Recharge the battery. If the
headset powers off during a call, the call will be automatically transferred to the

phone.

Checking the battery level

At the same time, press and hold the Volume down and the Talk button. Depending
on the battery level, the indicator light ashes 5 times in one of the following colors:

Wearing the headset

Place the headset on your ear.

Depending on what ear you are going to wear the headset, simply remove and

replace the ear hook.

Using your headset

This section explains how to turn the headset on, pair and connect to the phone,

and use various functions.

Activated functions and features may differ depending on the phone type.•
Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by Bluetooth SIG, •

may be incompatible with your headset.

Turning the headset on or off

To turn the headset on, press and hold the power button. The blue indicator light •
ashes 4 times.

To turn the headset off, press and hold the power button. The indicator light •

turns off after the blue indicator light changes to red.

Pairing and connecting the headset

Pairing will create a unique and encrypted wireless link between two Bluetooth

enabled devices, such as a Bluetooth phone and a Bluetooth headset.
To use the headset with other Bluetooth devices, the devices must be paired. When

trying to pair the two devices, keep the headset and the phone reasonably close
together. After pairing, you can connect the two devices.

Pairing and connecting the headset with a phone

Enter Pairing mode.1

Turn on your headset and press and hold the Talk button until the blue •
indicator light stays lit.

If you turn on the headset for the rst time, it proceeds into Pairing mode •
immediately.

Activate the Bluetooth feature on your phone and search for the headset (see 2
your phone’s user manual).

Select the headset (HM3200) from the list of devices found by your phone.3

Enter the Bluetooth PIN (0000, 4 zeros) to pair and connect the headset to your 4

phone.

Your headset supports the Simple Pairing feature which allows the headset to be
paired with a phone without requesting a PIN. This feature is available for phones

that are compliant with Bluetooth version 2.1 or higher.

The headset also can be paired via the Active pairing feature, see page 14.

Connecting with two Bluetooth phones

With the Multi-point feature activated, your headset can be connected with two

Bluetooth phones at the same time.

After connecting with the rst Bluetooth phone, press and hold the Talk button 1

until the blue indicator light stays lit.

Press and hold the Volume up button to activate the Multi-point feature.2

Activate the Bluetooth feature on the second Bluetooth phone and search for 3
the headset (see your phone’s user manual).

Select the headset (HM3200) from the list of devices found by the second 4

Bluetooth phone.

Enter the Bluetooth PIN (0000, 4 zeros) to connect the headset to the phone.5

Reconnect to the headset from the rst Bluetooth phone.6

You can set the headset automatically to reconnect to the recently connected •
phones each time you turn it on.

To reconnect to the two most recently connected phones, activate the Multi- ­point feature. Press and hold the Volume up button in Pairing mode until the

blue indicator light ashes twice.
To reconnect to only the most recently connected phone, deactivate the Multi- -

point feature. Press and hold the Volume down button in Pairing mode until the

red indicator light ashes twice.

When the headset connects to two Bluetooth phones, some phones may not •

connect to the headset as the second Bluetooth phone.

Disconnecting the headset

To disconnect the headset from your phone,

Turn off the headset.•
Use the Bluetooth menu on your phone.•

Reconnecting the headset

When the headset is paired with a phone, it will attempt to automatically reconnect

each time you turn it on.

If the headset does not automatically attempt to reconnect,

Press the Talk button.•
Use the Bluetooth menu on your phone.•

Pairing via the Active pairing feature

With the Active pairing feature, your headset can automatically search for a

Bluetooth phone and try to make a connection with it.

mobile phones, but the phone’s Bluetooth visibility option must be set to on.

Press and hold the Talk button to enter Pairing mode.2

Press and hold the Talk button until the violet indicator light turns on.3

The headset will switch to Active Pairing mode, search a Bluetooth phone
within range, and attempt to pair with it.

This feature is available for

Ensure the phone you wish to connect to is within range of the headset. Place the •
headset and phone close to each other to avoid pairing with other devices.

The headset will attempt Active pairing for up to 20 seconds.•
The Bluetooth phone you want to connect with must not be paired with other •

devices. If the phone is already connected to another device, end the connection

and restart Active pairing feature.
This feature may be unavailable depending on the some PDAs.•

Using call functions

Making a call

Redialing the last number

Press and hold the Talk button to redial the last number of the most recently
connected phone.

Press the Talk button twice to redial the last number of the other phone, see page 12.

Dialing a number by voice

Press the Talk button to dial a number of the rst phone by voice, and say a name.

Available call functions may vary by the phone.

Answering a call

Press the Talk button to answer a call when you hear incoming call tones.

When two calls from the two connected phones come in, you can answer the call
of the rst phone.

Ending a call

Press the Talk button to end a call.

Rejecting a call

Press and hold the Talk button to reject a call when a call comes in.

When two calls from the two connected phones come in, you can reject the call of
the rst phone.

Using options during a call

You can use the following functions to control your call during a call.

Adjusting the volume

Press the Volume up or down button to adjust the volume.

Muting the microphone

Press and hold the Volume up or down button to turn the microphone off so that
the person with whom you are speaking cannot hear you. When the microphone is

turned off, the headset beeps at regular intervals. Press and hold the Volume up or

down button again to turn the microphone back on.

Transferring a call from the phone to the headset

Press the Talk button to transfer a call from the phone to the headset.

Placing a call on hold

Press and hold the Talk button to place the current call on hold.

When the headset is connected with two phones, this function is not available.

Answering a second call

Press the Talk button to end the rst call and answer a second call of the same •
phone when you hear call waiting tones.

Press and hold the Talk button to place the rst call on hold and answer a •
second call of the same phone when you hear call waiting tones.

To switch between the current call and the held call, press and hold the Talk •
button.

When the headset is connected with two Bluetooth phones, you cannot answer a

second call of the same phone.

Answering a new call of the second phone

Press the Talk button to end the rst call and answer a second call of the other •
phone when you hear call waiting tones.

Press and hold the Talk button to place the rst call on hold and answer a •
second call of the other phone when you hear call waiting tones.

To switch between the current call and the held call, press and hold the Talk •
button.

Will my headset work
with laptops, PCs, and

Why do I hear static or
interference while on a
call?

Your headset will work with devices that support

your headset’s Bluetooth version and proles. For
specications, see page 24.

Appliances such as cordless phones and wireless

networking equipment may cause interference, which
usually sounds like static. To reduce any interference,

keep the headset away from other devices that use or
produce radio waves.

Will my headset
interfere with my car’s
electronics, radio, or
computer?

Your headset produces signicantly less power than
a typical mobile phone. It also only emits signals that

are in compliance with the international Bluetooth

standard. Therefore, you should not expect any

interference with standard consumer-grade electronics
equipment.

When you pair your headset to your Bluetooth phone,

you are creating a private link between only these two
Bluetooth devices. The wireless Bluetooth technology
used in your headset is not easily monitored by
third parties because Bluetooth wireless signals are

signicantly lower in radio frequency power than those

produced by a typical mobile phone.

Adjust the headset volume, or move to another area

and try again.

Wipe it with a soft dry cloth.

The headset and the travel adapter may not have
been connected properly.

Separate the headset from the travel adapter,
reconnect, and charge the headset.

Chargement de l’oreillette

Cette oreillette est dotée d’une pile interne rechargeable qui ne peut être retirée.
Veuillez vous assurer d’avoir chargé la pile à sa pleine capacité avant d’utiliser

l’oreillette pour la première fois.

Brancher l’oreillette dans le socle de chargement.1

Ouvrir le couvercle de la prise du chargeur situé à l’arrière du socle de 2

chargement.

Brancher la plus petite extrémité de l’adaptateur de voyage dans la prise du 3

chargeur.

Brancher la plus grosse extrémité de l’adaptateur de voyage dans la prise de 4

courant.

Le témoin lumineux deviendra rouge pendant le chargement. Si l’oreillette ne
se recharge pas, débrancher l’adaptateur de voyage et le rebrancher.

Une fois l’oreillette complètement chargée, le témoin lumineux deviendra bleu. 5
Débrancher l’adaptateur de voyage de la prise électrique et l’oreillette du socle

de chargement.

Utiliser uniquement un adaptateur de voyage approuvé par Samsung. L’utilisation •
d’adaptateurs de voyage non approuvés peut provoquer une explosion ou

endommager l’oreillette.

La pile s’usera progressivement en raison des chargements/déchargements •
répétés, puisqu’il s’agit d’une pièce consommable.

Pendant le chargement, l’oreillette entre en mode de chargement, désactivant •

ainsi les autres fonctions.

Lorsque la charge de la pile devient faible

L’oreillette émet un signal d’avertissement et le témoin lumineux clignote en
rouge. Recharger la pile. Si l’oreillette s’éteint pendant un appel, l’appel est
automatiquement transféré au téléphone cellulaire.

Vérication du niveau de charge de la pile

Appuyer simultanément sur la touche de diminution du volume et la touche de
conversation, et les maintenir enfoncées. Selon le niveau de charge de la pile, le
témoin lumineux clignote 5 fois en l’une des couleurs suivantes :

Utilisation de l’oreillette

Cette section explique comment mettre l’oreillette en marche, la synchroniser avec
le téléphone, l’y connecter et utiliser ses diverses fonctions.

Les fonctions et caractéristiques activées peuvent varier selon le type de téléphone.•
Il se peut que certains appareils, particulièrement ceux qui n’ont pas été testés ou •

approuvés par Bluetooth SIG, soient incompatibles avec votre oreillette.

Mise en marche et fermeture de l’oreillette

Pour mettre l’oreillette en marche, appuyer sur la touche marche/arrêt et la •
maintenir enfoncée. Le témoin lumineux bleu clignotera 4 fois.

Pour fermer l’oreillette, appuyer sur la touche marche/arrêt et la maintenir enfoncée. •
Le témoin lumineux s’éteindra après que le témoin bleu ait passé au rouge.

Synchronisation et connexion de l’oreillette

La synchronisation créera un lien sans l unique et crypté entre deux appareils
compatibles Bluetooth comme votre téléphone Bluetooth et votre oreillette

Bluetooth.

Pour utiliser l’oreillette avec d’autres appareils Bluetooth, les deux appareils doivent
être synchronisés. Lorsque vous essayez de synchroniser les deux appareils, veuillez
les maintenir à une proximité raisonnable l’un de l’autre. Une fois la synchronisation
effectuée, vous pouvez connecter les deux appareils l’un à l’autre.

Synchronisation et connexion de l’oreillette à un téléphone cellulaire

Activation du mode de synchronisation.1

Lorsque l’oreillette est en marche, appuyer sur la touche de conversation •
et la maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce que le témoin bleu reste allumé.

L’oreillette passera immédiatement en mode de synchronisation s’il s’agit •

de la première fois que vous la mettez en marche.

Activer la fonction Bluetooth du téléphone et chercher l’oreillette (voir le guide 2
d’utilisation du téléphone).

Sélectionner l’oreillette (HM3200) dans la liste d’appareils détectés par le 3
téléphone.

Entrer le NIP Bluetooth (0000, 4 zéros) pour effectuer la synchronisation et 4
connecter l’oreillette au téléphone.

Votre oreillette est compatible avec la fonction de synchronisation simple qui permet

de synchroniser l’oreillette avec un téléphone sans qu’un NIP ne soit demandé.
Cette fonction est offerte pour les téléphones qui sont conformes à la version 2.1 de
Bluetooth ou à une version plus récente.

L’oreillette peut aussi être synchronisée par l’entremise de la fonction de synchronisation

active; voir la page 38.

Connexion à deux téléphones Bluetooth

Lorsque la fonction multipoint est activée, votre oreillette peut se connecter à deux
téléphones Bluetooth en même temps.

Après avoir connecté le premier téléphone Bluetooth, appuyer sur la touche 1
de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce que le témoin bleu
demeure allumé.

Appuyer sur la touche d’augmentation du volume et la maintenir enfoncée pour 2

Vous pouvez régler l’oreillette an que, dès que vous la mettez en marche, elle se •
connecte automatiquement aux plus récents téléphones utilisés.

Pour reconnecter l’oreillette aux deux plus récents téléphones connectés, ­activer la fonction multipoint. En mode de synchronisation, appuyer sur la
touche d’augmentation du volume et la maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce que le
témoin bleu clignote deux fois.

Pour reconnecter l’oreillette au plus récent téléphone connecté, désactiver ­la fonction multipoint. En mode de synchronisation, appuyer sur la touche de
diminution du volume et la maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce que le témoin rouge

clignote deux fois.

Pour la connexion de l’oreillette à deux téléphones Bluetooth, il est possible •
que certains téléphones ne puissent pas être connectés en tant que deuxièmes
téléphones Bluetooth.

Déconnexion de l’oreillette

Pour déconnecter l’oreillette du téléphone :

Fermer l’oreillette.•
Utiliser le menu Bluetooth du téléphone.•

Reconnexion de l’oreillette

Une fois que l’oreillette aura été synchronisée avec un téléphone, elle tentera de s’y
reconnecter automatiquement à chaque fois que vous la mettrez en marche.

Si l’oreillette ne tente pas de se reconnecter automatiquement :

Synchronisation au moyen de la fonction de synchronisation
active

Grâce à la fonction de synchronisation active, l’oreillette peut chercher automatiquement
un téléphone Bluetooth et tenter de s’y connecter. Cette fonction est offerte pour les
téléphones cellulaires, mais l’option de visibilité Bluetooth du téléphone concerné
doit être activée.

Mettre l’oreillette en marche.1

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée pour entrer en 2

mode de synchronisation.

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée jusqu’à ce que 3
le témoin violet s’allume.

L’oreillette passera en mode de synchronisation active, cherchera un téléphone
Bluetooth à sa portée et tentera de s’y connecter.

Assurez-vous que le téléphone auquel vous désirez vous connecter se situe dans •
la zone de couverture de l’oreillette. Déposer l’oreillette et le téléphone à proximité
l’un de l’autre pour éviter qu’elle ne se synchronise avec d’autres appareils.

L’oreillette tentera d’effectuer une synchronisation active pendant 20 secondes.•
Le téléphone Bluetooth auquel vous désirez vous connecter ne doit pas être •

synchronisé avec d’autres appareils. Si le téléphone est déjà connecté à un autre
appareil, mettre n à la connexion et redémarrer l’option de synchronisation active.

Il est possible que cette fonction ne soit pas offerte pour certains ANP.•

Faire un appel

Recomposition du dernier numéro

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée pour recomposer
le dernier numéro composé avec le téléphone le plus récemment connecté.

Appuyer deux fois sur la touche de conversation pour recomposer le dernier
numéro composé avec l’autre téléphone; voir la page 36.

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation pour composer vocalement un numéro du
premier téléphone, et prononcer un nom.

Les options d’appel offertes peuvent varier selon le téléphone.

Répondre à un appel

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation pour répondre à un appel lorsque vous

entendez la sonnerie d’appel entrant.

Lorsque des appels entrent sur les deux téléphones, vous ne pouvez répondre
qu’à l’appel du premier téléphone.

Mettre n à un appel

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation pour mettre n à un appel.

Rejeter un appel

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée pour rejeter un

appel entrant.

Lorsque des appels entrent sur les deux téléphones, vous pouvez rejeter l’appel
du premier téléphone.

Utilisation des options pendant un appel

Vous pouvez utiliser les options suivantes pour gérer un appel en cours.

Régler le volume

Appuyer sur la touche d’augmentation ou de diminution du volume pour régler le

volume.

Désactiver le microphone

Appuyer sur la touche de réglage du volume (haut/bas) et la maintenir enfoncée
pour désactiver le microphone de façon à empêcher votre interlocuteur de vous
entendre. Lorsque le microphone est désactivé, l’oreillette émet un signal sonore
à intervalles réguliers. Appuyer de nouveau sur la touche de réglage du volume et
la maintenir enfoncée pour réactiver le microphone.

Transférer un appel du téléphone à l’oreillette

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation pour transférer un appel du téléphone
à l’oreillette.

Mettre un appel en attente

Appuyer sur la touche de conversation et la maintenir enfoncée pour mettre l’appel

en cours en attente.

Une fois l’oreillette connectée aux deux téléphones, cette fonction n’est plus offerte.

répondre à un deuxième appel provenant de l’autre téléphone lorsque vous
entendez la tonalité d’appel en attente.

premier appel en attente et répondre à un deuxième appel sur l’autre téléphone
lorsque vous entendez la tonalité d’appel en attente.

Lorsque vous synchronisez votre oreillette et votre

téléphone Bluetooth, vous créez une connexion privée

entre ces deux appareils Bluetooth. La technologie

sans l Bluetooth utilisée dans l’oreillette ne permet
pas aux tiers d’écouter facilement, car les signaux
sans l Bluetooth sont considérablement inférieurs
en matière de puissance de fréquence radio que
ceux produits par un téléphone cellulaire ordinaire.

Régler le volume de l’oreillette ou se déplacer

et essayer de nouveau.
L’essuyer avec un linge doux et sec.

Il est possible que l’oreillette et l’adaptateur de
voyage ne soient pas correctement branchés.
Débrancher l’oreillette de l’adaptateur de voyage,
