1. CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ GÉNÉRALES

LISEZ TOUTES LES INSTRUCTIONS

• APPRENEZ À CONNAÎTRE VOTRE OUTIL. Lisez minutieusement le manuel d'utilisation. Prenez connaissance des
applications de votre outil et de ses limites, ainsi que des risques potentiels qui lui sont propres.

• ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE LES CARTERS DE PROTECTION SONT TOUJOURS EN PLACE et en état de marche.

IMPORTANT

L'entretien nécessite beaucoup de soin et une bonne connaissance de l'outil ; il doit être effectué par un technicien
qualifié. Pour les réparations, nous vous conseillons d'apporter votre outil au Centre Service Agréé Ryobi le plus
proche de chez vous.

• PIÈCES DE RECHANGE. Toutes les réparations, qu'elles soient électriques ou mécaniques, doivent être effectuées
par un technicien qualifié dans un Centre Service Agréé RYOBI.

a été conçu.

• UTILISEZ L'OUTIL APPROPRIÉ. Ne forcez ni votre outil ni un accessoire pour réaliser des travaux pour lesquels ils
n'ont pas été conçus. Ne les utilisez pas à des fins non prévues par le fabricant.

• UTILISEZ UNE RALLONGE APPROPRIÉE. Assurez-vous que votre rallonge est en bon état. Lorsque vous utilisez une
rallonge, assurez-vous que sa capacité est suffisante pour conduire le courant nécessaire. Une rallonge sous-calibrée
entraînera une baisse de tension, provoquant une surchauffe et une perte de puissance.

• VÉRIFIEZ RÉGULIÈREMENT L'ÉTAT DES RALLONGES et remplacez-les si elles sont endommagées.

• UTILISEZ DES RALLONGES D'EXTÉRIEUR. Lorsque vous utilisez votre outil à l'extérieur, les rallonges doivent

rallonge.)

• PORTEZ DES VÊTEMENTS ADÉQUATS. Ne portez pas de vêtements amples, gants, cravates, bagues, bracelets ou
autres bijoux. Ils risquent de se coincer et de vous entraîner vers les éléments mobiles, ce qui peut provoquer des
blessures corporelles. Nous vous recommandons d'utiliser des gants en caoutchouc et des chaussures anti-dérapantes
lorsque vous travaillez à l'extérieur. Si vous avez les cheveux longs, veillez à les protéger en les attachant et en les
couvrant afin d'éviter qu'ils ne se prennent dans les fentes de ventilation.

• VEILLEZ À TOUJOURS PORTER DES LUNETTES DE SÉCURITÉ MUNIES D'ÉCRANS LA TÉRAUX.Les lunettes de
vue ordinaires ne sont munies que de verres antichoc ; ce NE sont PAS des lunettes de sécurité.

• PROTÉGEZ VOS POUMONS. Portez un écran facial ou un masque anti-poussière si le travail génère de la poussière.

• PROTÉGEZ VOS OREILLES. En cas d'utilisation prolongée de l'outil, utilisez des protections auditives vous permettant
d'atténuer le niveau de pression sonore.

• FIXEZ CORRECTEMENT LA PIÈCE À TRAVAILLER avant de mettre l'outil en marche. Utilisez si possible des serre-
joints ou un étau pour fixer la pièce à travailler. Ne maintenez JAMAIS la pièce à travailler avec votre main ou entre
vos jambes.

• GARDEZ VOTRE ÉQUILIBRE. Veillez à toujours conserver votre équilibre. N'utilisez pas votre outil sur un escabeau
ou tout autre support instable. Veillez à ce que votre outil soit solidement maintenu, et soyez conscient de ce qui se
trouve en-dessous de vous, lorsque vous travaillez en hauteur.

• ENTRETENEZ VOTRE OUTIL AVEC SOIN. Pour une sécurité et des résultats optimaux, veillez à ce que votre outil
soit toujours aiguisé et propre. Lubrifiez votre outil et changez les accessoires selon les instructions.

• DÉBRANCHEZ LES OUTILS. Lorsqu'ils ne sont pas utilisés, avant entretien, ou en cas de changement d'accessoires
(lames, embouts, couteaux, etc.), les outils doivent être débranchés.

• ÉVITEZ TOUT DÉMARRAGE INVOLONTAIRE. Assurez-vous que la gâchette est en position "arrêt" ou verrouillée
lorsque vous branchez l'outil.

• VÉRIFIEZ L'ÉTAT DES PIÈCES ENDOMMAGÉES. Avant de continuer à utiliser votre outil, vérifiez qu'une pièce ou un
accessoire endommagé pourra continuer à fonctionner ou à remplir sa fonction. Vérifiez que les pièces mobiles sont
bien alignées et qu'elles ne sont pas grippées. Vérifiez qu'aucune pièce n'est cassée. Contrôlez le montage et tout
autre élément pouvant affecter le fonctionnement de l'outil. Un carter de protection ou toute autre pièce ou accessoire
endommagé doit être réparé ou remplacé par un technicien qualifié pour éviter tout risque de blessure corporelle.

• NE VOUS ÉLOIGNEZ JAMAIS DE L'OUTIL LORSQU'IL EST EN MARCHE. ÉTEIGNEZ-LE. Ne vous éloignez pas de
l'outil avant qu'il ne soit complètement arrêté.

• VEILLEZ À MAINTENIR LE CORDON D'ALIMENTATION EN BON ÉTAT.Ne tirez jamais sur le cordon pour débrancher
l'outil. Veillez à tenir le cordon d’alimentation éloigné de la chaleur, de l’huile et des objets tranchants.

• CONTRÔLEZ RÉGULIÈREMENT LE CORDON D'ALIMENTATION DE VOTRE OUTIL. S'il est endommagé, faites-le
réparer par un technicien qualifié dans un Centre Service Agréé Ryobi. Veillez à toujours savoir où se trouve le cordon
et tenez-le à l'écart des éléments mobiles.

• N'UTILISEZ PAS L'OUTILSI L'INTERRUPTEUR NE PERMET PAS DE LE METTRE EN MARCHE ET DE L'ARRÊTER.
Faites remplacer tout interrupteur défectueux par un technicien qualifié dans un Centre Service Agréé Ryobi.

• ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE L'OUTIL RESTE SEC ET PROPRE (NI HUILE, NI GRAISSE). Utilisez toujours un chiffon propre
pour le nettoyer. Ne le nettoyez jamais à l'aide de liquide de frein, de produits à base d'essence ou de solvants.

• N'UTILISEZ PAS VOTRE OUTILSI VOUS ÊTES SOUS L'EMPRISE DE L'ALCOOL OU DE DROGUES, OU SI VOUS

PRENEZ DES MÉDICAMENTS.

• SOYEZ TOUJOURS VIGILANT ET RESTEZ MAÎTRE DE VOTRE OUTIL. La familiarisation avec votre outil (due à une
utilisation fréquente) ne doit jamais faire baisser votre vigilance. N'OUBLIEZ JAMAIS qu'il suffit d'une fraction de
seconde d'inattention pour vous blesser gravement.
Regardez bien ce que vous faites et faites appel à votre bon sens. N'utilisez pas votre outil lorsque vous êtes fatigué.
Ne vous pressez pas.

• ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE LA ZONE DE TRAVAIL EST SUFFISAMMENT ÉCLAIRÉE pour vous permettre de bien voir
ce que vous faites, et qu'aucun élément n'est susceptible de poser un problème de sécurité AVANT de commencer à
utiliser votre outil.

• RANGEZ LES OUTILS DONT VOUS NE VOUS SERVEZ P AS.Lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé, votre outil doit être rangé dans
un endroit sec, situé en hauteur ou fermé à clé, hors de portée des enfants.

• NE TOUCHEZ JAMAIS LES ÉLÉMENTS MOBILES lorsque l'outil est en cours d'utilisation. Ne faites jamais démarrer
l'outil lorsque l'un de ses éléments mobiles est en contact avec l'environnement de travail.

• PROTÉGEZ-VOUS DES CHOCS ÉLECTRIQUES EN ÉVITANT TOUT CONTACT AVEC DES SURFACES RELIÉES
À LA TERRE. Par exemple : tuyaux, radiateurs, cuisinières ou réfrigérateurs.

• METTEZ TOUJOURS L'INTERRUPTEUR EN POSITION "ARRÊT" avant de débrancher l'outil afin d'éviter tout
démarrage involontaire lorsque vous le rebrancherez.

• CONSERVEZ CES CONSIGNES. Consultez-les régulièrement et utilisez-les pour informer d'autres utilisateurs
éventuels. Si vous prêtez votre outil, prêtez également le présent manuel.

2. CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ SPÉCIFIQUES AUX PONCEUSES

• METTEZ TOUJOURS DES LUNETTES DE SÉCURITÉ ÉT ANCHES ET UN MASQUE ANTI-POUSSIÈRElorsque vous

poncez, en particulier lorsque vous tenez la ponceuse au-dessus de votre tête.

• N’UTILISEZ JAMAIS VOTRE PONCEUSE SUR DES SURFACES HUMIDES.

• LA FEUILLE DE PAPIER ABRASIF NE DOIT PAS ÊTRE TROP GRANDE. Si vous laissez le papier abrasif dépasser

du patin, vous vous exposez à des risques de blessures graves.

• LE SAC À POUSSIÈRE DOIT ÊTRE INST ALLÉ SUR L’OUTIL et vidé régulièrement. Pour installer le sac à poussière,
placez la bague du sac sur la buse d’aspiration à l’arrière de la ponceuse. Puis emboîtez la bague et tournez-la vers la
droite jusqu’à ce que le sac soit correctement fixé. Pour enlever le sac, procédez dans l’ordre inverse.

• AVERTISSEMENT ! NE JETEZ PAS LES POUSSIÈRES PROVENANT DU PONÇAGE DANS UN FEU OUVERT

car les matériaux sous forme de fines particules peuvent être explosifs.

• AVERTISSEMENT ! VOUS DEVEZ METTRE UN MASQUE RESPIRATOIRE ADÉQUAT lorsque vous poncez des
surfaces recouvertes de peinture à base de plomb ainsi que certains bois et métaux pour éviter d’inhaler des poussières
ou des vapeurs toxiques.

4. SAC À POUSSIÈRE

3.1 PAPIER ABRASIF UTILISÉ

La ponceuse vibrante s’utilise avec des feuilles de papier abrasif, qui peuvent être facilement découpées dans des feuilles
standard grand format (227 x 93 mm) disponibles dans le commerce.

Avec les ponceuses électriques, nous vous recommandons d’utiliser des abrasifs synthétiques tels que l’alumine
ou le carbure de silicium. Pour dégrossir le travail, choisissez du papier abrasif à gros grain. Pour lisser ou pour effectuer
un ponçage de finition, utilisez du papier abrasif à grain fin ou extra-fin.

3.2 GÂCHETTE MARCHE/ARRÊT

Pour mettre l’outil en marche, appuyez sur la gâchette. Pour arrêter votre outil, relâchez la gâchette. Elle est équipée
d’un ressort et se remettra en position “arrêt” automatiquement.

Laissez au moteur le temps d’atteindre sa vitesse maximale avant de mettre la ponceuse en contact avec la pièce à usiner.
Retirez la ponceuse de la pièce avant de l’arrêter.

3.3 INSTALLATION DU PAPIER ABRASIF

1. Desserrez la griffe de pince, puis insérez le papier abrasif en plaçant la face abrasive vers l’extérieur, tel qu’illustré
à la figure 2.

2. Après avoir inséré et étiré la feuille, soulevez le levier de pince en vous assurant que la griffe plaque bien le papier.

3. Recouvrez toute la longueur du patin avec le papier, puis coincez l’extrémité libre de la feuille sous la pince de l’autre
côté du patin en suivant la même procédure que celle expliquée ci-avant. Pour un ponçage efficace, le papier abrasif
doit être aussi tendu que possible, car un abrasif lâche risque de glisser sur la pièce à usiner.

3.4 UTILISATION DE LAMATRICE DE POINÇONNAGE

Si la feuille de papier abrasif n’est pas perforée, vous pouvez utiliser la matrice de poinçonnage fournie avec la ponceuse
vibrante pour perforer les trous d’aspiration dans le papier abrasif. Placez précisément la matrice contre le patin et appuyez
sur la ponceuse jusqu’à ce que la matrice perfore le papier abrasif. Enfin, retirez la matrice de poinçonnage de la ponceuse.

3.5 PONÇAGE

Lorsque vous poncez, n’appuyez pas trop fort sur l’outil. Si vous exercez une pression excessive sur la ponceuse,
le ponçage peut être inégal et cela risque également d’entraîner une surchauffe susceptible d’endommager le moteur.

Ne poncez pas trop longtemps au même endroit : votre ponçage serait inégal.

4. ENTRETIEN

4.1 BALAIS DE CHARBON

Les balais et le collecteur doivent être contrôlés régulièrement dans un Centre Service Agréé Ryobi (à quelques mois
d’intervalle). Un bon contact entre les balais et le collecteur permet au moteur de fonctionner correctement. Les balais de
charbon doivent être remplacés lorsque l’étincelle autour du collecteur devient anormalement grande.

4.2. NETTOYAGE

Débranchez votre outil avant toute opération de nettoyage ou d’entretien. La meilleure méthode pour le nettoyage consiste
à utiliser de l’air comprimé sec. Vous devez toujours mettre des lunettes de sécurité étanches lorsque vous nettoyez
des outils avec de l’air comprimé.

Les fentes de ventilation et les interrupteurs doivent toujours rester propres. N’utilisez pas d’objets pointus pour nettoyer
au travers des fentes.

N’utilisez jamais de substances chimiques pour nettoyer votre outil.

6. GARANTIE

Ce produit Ryobi est garanti contre les vices de fabrication et les pièces défectueuses pour une durée de vingt-quatre (24)
mois, à compter de la date faisant foi sur l'original de la facture établie par le revendeur à l'utilisateur final.
Les détériorations provoquées par l'usure normale, par une utilisation ou un entretien anormal ou non autorisé, ou par une

surcharge sont exclues de la présente garantie de même que les accessoires tels que batteries, ampoules, lames, embouts,
sacs, etc.
En cas de mauvais fonctionnement au cours de la période de garantie, veuillez envoyer le produit NON DÉMONTÉ avec
la preuve d'achat à votre fournisseur ou au Centre Service Agréé Ryobi le plus proche de chez vous.
Vos droits légaux se rapportant aux produits défectueux ne sont pas remis en cause par la présente garantie.

1. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• KNOW YOUR POWER TOOL. Read the user manual carefully. Find out about the tool's applications and its limitations

• KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE and in good working order.

IMPORTANT:

Maintenance of this tool requires great care and a thorough knowledge of the tool: servicing should only be carried
out by a qualified technician. For repairs, you should take the tool to your nearest Authorised RYOBI Service Centre.

• REPLACEMENT PARTS:All repairs, whether electrical or mechanical, should be carried out by a qualified technician
at an Authorised RYOBI Service Centre.

WARNING: Only manufacturer's original replacement parts must be used. Using any other spare part may be
dangerous or damage your tool.

• KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN. Cluttered work areas and workbenches invite accidents.

• DO NOT USE IN DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENTS.
Do not use power tools near petrol or other flammable liquids, in damp or wet conditions, or expose them to rain.

• NEVER USE YOUR TOOL IN AN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE.
The sparks produced by the motor could ignite flammable liquids, gases or vapours.

• KEEP CHILDREN AND VISITORS AW AY. All visitors should wear safety glasses and be kept at a safe distance from
the work area. Do not let visitors touch the tool or the extension cable when the tool is operating.

• ENSURE THAT THE WORKSHOP IS SAFE FOR CHILDREN by using padlocks and master switches or removing
on/off keys.

• NEVER FORCE THE TOOL. The tool will be more efficient and safer when used at the speed for which it was designed.

• USE THE RIGHT TOOL. Do not force the tool or attachment to do a job it was not designed for. Do not use them for
any purpose other than those intended by the manufacturer.

• USE AN APPROPRIATE EXTENSION CORD. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an
extension cord, be sure to use one with adequate wattage rating. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage
resulting in loss of power and overheating

• INSPECT EXTENSION CORDS PERIODICALLY and replace them if damaged.

• USE OUTDOOR EXTENSION CORDS. When the tool is used outdoors, use only earthed extension cords that are
approved for outdoor use and marked as such.

• WEAR PROPER CLOTHES. Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, ties, rings, bracelets or other jewellery. They can get
caught in the tool and draw you into the moving parts, possibly resulting in serious injury. Rubber gloves and non-skid
footwear are recommended when working outdoors. If you have long hair, tie it back and wear protective hair covering
to keep it from being drawn into the ventilation slots..

• ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WITH SIDE SHIELDS. Ordinary glasses have only impact-resistant lenses;
they are NOT safety glasses.

• PROTECT YOUR LUNGS. Wear a face mask or dust mask if the work generates dust.

• PROTECT YOUR EARS. During extended periods of operation, wear proper hearing protection to dampen the sound
pressure level .

• SECURE YOUR WORKPIECE PROPERLY before starting your tool. Whenever possible, use clamps or a vice to hold
your workpiece. NEVER hold the workpiece in your hand or between your legs.

• KEEP YOUR BALANCE. Always keep well balanced. Do not use your tool while standing on a ladder or any other
unstable support. Always secure your tool and remain aware of what is underneath you when working in elevated positions.

• MAINTAIN THE TOOL IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. For optimum safety and best results, keep your tool sharp
and clean at all times.
Follow the instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.

• DISCONNECT ALL TOOLS. When not in use, during maintenance operations or when changing attachments
(blades, bits, cutters, etc.) all tools should be disconnected.

• AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING. Make sure the switch is in the "off" position or locked when you plug in your tool.

• CHECK DAMAGED PARTS AND ACCESSORIES. If a tool part or accessory is damaged, check that it can continue
to work and perform its function correctly before continuing to use the tool. Check the alignment of the moving parts
and make sure they move freely. Check that no part is broken. Check the assembly and anything else that might affect
the operation of the tool. Aguard or other part or accessory that is damaged must be properly repaired or replaced by
a qualified technician to avoid risk of personal injury.

• NEVER LEAVE THE TOOL RUNNING UNATTENDED. SWITCH IT OFF. Do not walk away from the tool until it comes
to a complete stop.

• KEEP THE POWER CABLE IN GOOD CONDITION. Never pull the cable to disconnect the tool. Keep the cable away
from sources of heat, oil and sharp edges.

Authorised RYOBI Service Centre. Always keep track of the position of the cable and keep it well away from any moving parts.

2. SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SANDERS

• ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES AND A DUST MASK when sanding, especially sanding over-head.

• NEVER USE YOUR SANDER ON DAMP SURFACES.

• DO NOT USE SANDPAPER LARGER THAN NEEDED.Extra sandpaper extending beyond the sanding pad can cause
serious injury.

• THE DUST BAG MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE TOOL and emptied frequently. To attach the dust bag, put the dust
bag connector on the dust collection outlet at the rear of the sander. Then slot in the connector by turning it clockwise
until it is properly fitted. Carry out the reverse procedure to remove the bag.

• WARNING! DO NOT THROW SANDING DUST ON AN OPEN FIREbecause materials in fine particle form may be explosive.

• WARNING! WEAR A SUITABLE RESPIRATOR when sanding lead-painted surfaces as well as certain woods and
metals to avoid breathing the harmful/toxic dust or vapours.

3.1 SANDPAPER

The sander uses sheets of sandpaper that can be conveniently cut from large-size commercially available standard sheets
(227 x 93 mm).

Aluminium oxide, silicon carbide, or other synthetic abrasives are recommended for power sanding. For rough sanding,
use coarse sandpaper. For smoothing or finish sanding, use fine or extra-fine sandpaper.

3.2 "ON/OFF" TRIGGER SWITCH

To turn the tool "ON", squeeze the trigger switch. To turn the tool "OFF", release the trigger switch which is spring-loaded
and will return to the "OFF" position automatically.

Wait till the sander has reached its full speed before placing it in contact with the workpiece. Remove it from the workpiece
before releasing the trigger switch.

3.3 ATTACHING THE SANDPAPER

1. Release the clamp grip then insert the sandpaper with the grit side facing out, as shown in fig. 2.

2. After inserting and stretching the sheet, lift up the clamp lever making sure the teeth of the clamp grip the paper correctly.

3. Wrap the sheet around the length of the pad and attach the free end of sheet under the clamp on the opposite side and
repeat the procedure stated above. For efficient sanding, the sandpaper must be drawn as tightly as possible, as a
loose sheet can slip on the work surface.

3.4 USING THE PUNCHER

If the sheet of sandpaper has not been punched, you can use the puncher supplied with the tool to punch dust collection
holes in the sandpaper. Align the sanding pad with the puncher and push down on the sander until the puncher pierces the
sandpaper. Then remove the puncher from the sander. See Fig. 3.

3.5 SANDING

Do not apply excessive pressure on the sander when sanding. Excessive pressure may result in uneven sanding and cause
overheating which could damage the motor.

Do not sand in the same spot for too long. Otherwise uneven sanding will result.

4. MAINTENANCE

4.1 CARBON BRUSHES

The tool's brushes and commutator must be checked regularly (once every few months) at an Authorised Ryobi Service
Centre. Good contact between the brushes and commutator is required for the tool to operate properly. The carbon brushes
must be replaced when an abnormally big spark is produced around the commutator.

4.2 CLEANING

Before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance, disconnect the tool from the power supply. The best cleaning method
consists in using dry compressed air. Always wear safety goggles when cleaning tools with compressed air.

Ventilation slots and switches must be kept clean at all times. Do not insert pointed objects through the slots to try to clean them.
Never use any chemical products to clean the tool.

6. WARRANTY

3.1 VERWENDETES SCHLEIFPAPIER

Der Schwingschleifer wird mit Schleifpapierblättern verwendet, die einfach zugeschnitten werden können. Diese Blätter sind
in großformatigen Standardblättern (227 x 93 mm) im Handel erhältlich.

Wir empfehlen Ihnen, mit den elektrischen Schleifern synthetisches Schleifpapier zu verwenden, wie z. B. Aluminiumoxid
oder Siliziumkarbid. Zum Rauhschleifen müssen Sie grobkörniges Schleifpapier verwenden. Zum Polieren oder
Feinschleifen verwenden Sie feinkörniges oder extrafeines Schleifpapier.

3.2 EIN-/AUS-SCHALTER

Drücken Sie zum Einschalten Ihres Geräts auf den Schalter. Geben Sie zum Anhalten des Hobels den Schalter frei.
Der Schalter ist mit einer Feder ausgestattet und kehrt automatisch in die Position "Stop" zurück.

Warten Sie, bis der Motor seine Höchstdrehzahl erreicht hat, bevor Sie den Schleifer am Werkstück ansetzen. Entfernen
Sie den Schleifer vom Werkstück, bevor Sie ihn anhalten.

3.3 EINSETZEN DES SCHLEIFPAPIERS

1. Lösen Sie den Haken des Klemmbügels und schieben Sie das Schleifpapier so ein, dass die schleifende Seite nach
außen zeigt (siehe Abbildung. 2).

2. Nachdem Sie das Blatt eingelegt und lang gezogen haben, heben Sie den Hebel des Klemmbügel an und vergewissern
Sie sich, dass der Haken das Papier gut andrückt.

3. Decken Sie den Gleitschuh über die gesamte Länge mit dem Papier ab und klemmen Sie das freie Ende des Blatts
unter den Klemmbügel am anderen Ende des Gleitschuhs, indem Sie dieselbe Prozedur befolgen wie oben beschrieben.
Um ein effizientes Schleifen zu gewährleisten, muss das Schleifpapier so gut wie möglich gespannt sein, denn ein zu
locker sitzendes Schleifpapier könnte unter das zu bearbeitende Teil rutschen.

3.4 VERWENDUNG DER PERFORIERUNGSMATRIZE

Wenn das Schleifpapier nicht perforiert ist, können Sie die mit dem Schwingschleifer gelieferte Perforierungsmatrize
verwenden, um die Ansauglöcher in das Schleifpapier zu stanzen. Setzen Sie die Matrize präzise auf den Gleitschuh auf
und drücken Sie auf das Schleifgerät, bis die Matrize das Schleifpapier perforiert. Entfernen Sie dann die Perforierungsmatrize
des Schleifgeräts. Siehe Abbildung 3.

3.5 SCHLEIFEN

Drücken Sie beim Schleifen nicht zu fest auf das Gerät. Wenn ein zu hoher Druck auf das Schleifgerät ausgeübt wird,
kann es zu einem unregelmäßigen Schleifen kommen, und dies führt möglicherweise zu einer Überhitzung, die den Motor
beschädigen kann.

Schleifen Sie nicht zu lange auf derselben Stelle, denn dies führt zu Unregelmäßigkeiten beim Schleifen.

4. WARTUNG

4.1 KOHLEBÜRSTE

Die Bürsten und der Kollektor müssen regelmäßig von einem autorisierten Ryobi-Kundendienst überprüft werden
(in Intervallen von einigen Monaten). Ein einwandfreier Kontakt zwischen den Bürsten und dem Kollektor ermöglicht einen
korrekten Betrieb des Motors. Die Kohlebürsten müssen ausgetauscht werden, wenn der Funke um den Kollektor
ungewöhnlich groß ist.

4.2. REINIGUNG

Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung oder Wartung den Netzstecker des Geräts ab. Die beste Methode zur Reinigung besteht
in der Verwendung von trockener Druckluft. Beim Reinigen von Geräten mit Druckluft müssen Sie stets eine dichte
Sicherheitsbrille tragen.
Die Ventilationsschlitze und Schalter müssen stets sauber gehalten werden. Verwenden Sie keine spitzen Gegenstände
zum Reinigen der Schlitze.
Verwenden Sie niemals chemische Substanzen zur Reinigung Ihres Geräts.

IMPORTANTE:

El mantenimiento requiere mucha atención y un buen conocimiento de la herramienta; debe realizarlo un técnico

• PROTÉJASE LOS OÍDOS. Si utiliza la herramienta durante mucho tiempo, póngase protecciones auditivas para atenuar
el nivel de presión acústica.

• FIJE BIEN LA PIEZA QUE VAA TRABAJAR antes de poner la herramienta en marcha. Utilice una cárcel o un tornillo
de banco para fijar la pieza. No sujete NUNCA la pieza con la mano o entre las piernas.

la herramienta.

• VERIFIQUE EL ESTADO DE LAS PIEZAS DETERIORADAS.Antes de seguir utilizando la herramienta, asegúrese de
que una pieza o un accesorio deteriorado podrá seguir funcionando o desempeñando su función. Compruebe que las
piezas móviles están bien alineadas y que no están gripadas. Cerciórese de que no hay ninguna pieza rota.
Controle el montaje y todos los elementos que puedan afectar al funcionamiento de la herramienta. Un cárter de

2. CONSIGNAS DE SEGURIDAD PARA LAS LIJADORAS

• USE SIEMPRE GAFAS DE SEGURIDAD HERMÉTICAS Y UNA MÁSCARA CONTRA EL POLVO cuando utilice la

lijadora, especialmente en los trabajos en los que deba sujetar la lijadora por encima de su cabeza.

• NO UTILICE EN NINGÚN CASO LA LIJADORA EN SUPERFICIES HÚMEDAS.

• LAHOJADE LIJANO DEBE SER DEMASIADO GRANDE. Si la hoja de lija rebasa el patín, usted podrá sufrir heridas graves.

• EL SACO DE POLVO DEBE ESTAR INSTALADO CUANDO TRABAJE CON LA MÁQUINA y se lo debe vaciar con

regularidad. Para instalar el saco en la lijadora, coloque el anillo del saco en la boquilla de aspiración que se encuentra
en la parte trasera de la lijadora. Después, encaje el anillo del saco haciéndolo girar hacia la derecha hasta que el saco
quede correctamente sujetado. Para retirar el saco repita el mismo procedimiento en sentido inverso.

• ¡ADVERTENCIA! NO TIRE ELPOLVO RECOGIDO EN ELSACO EN UN FUEGO QUE NO ESTÉ PROTEGIDO porque
las finas partículas del material pueden producir una explosión.

• ¡ADVERTENCIA! DEBE UTILIZAR UNAMÁSCARAFACIALCON FIL TROcuando lije superficies cubiertas con pintura
a base de plomo, al igual que cuando trabaje ciertas maderas o ciertos metales, para evitar la inhalación de polvo o

3.1 TIPO DE PAPEL DE LIJA

La lijadora excéntrica utiliza papel de lija que puede prepararse recortando las hojas estándar de gran formato (227 x 93 mm)
que se venden en el comercio.

Con las lijadoras eléctricas le recomendamos que emplee papel de lija con abrasivo sintético tal como alúmina o carburo
de silicio. Para desbastar es conveniente emplear papel de lija de grano grueso. Para lijados y acabados finos emplee papel
de lija de grano fino o muy fino.

3.2 GATILLO DE MARCHA/PARADA

Para poner la herramienta en marcha, pulse el gatillo. Para interrumpir el funcionamiento suelte el gatillo que cuenta con
un resorte gracias al cual se detendrá automáticamente.

Antes de comenzar a lijar la pieza deje que el motor alcance su velocidad máxima. Antes de detener el motor retire la
lijadora de la pieza.

3.3 COLOCACIÓN DEL PAPEL DE LIJA

1. Afloje la pinza y coloque el papel de lija con la cara abrasiva hacia afuera, como se muestra en la figura 2.

2. Después de colocar y estirar la hoja, levante la palanca de la pinza controlando que el papel esté estirado y plano.

3. Cubra el patín con el papel en toda su longitud e inserte el extremo libre del papel en el lado opuesto del patín, siguiendo
el mismo procedimiento que con el primer lado. Para que la máquina trabaje con eficacia, la hoja de lija debe estar
perfectamente colocada y tensa ya que si queda un poco floja puede deslizarse en la pieza trabajada.

3.4 UTILIZACIÓN DE LA MATRIZ PERFORADA

Si la hoja de papel de lija no está perforada, puede emplear la matriz perforada que se entrega con la lijadora excéntrica
para hacer orificios de aspiración en el papel de lija. Coloque la matriz contra el patín y presione la lijadora hasta que la
matriz perfore el papel de lija. Retire la matriz perforada de la lijadora. Ver Figura 3.

3.5 LIJADO

Al lijar, no haga demasiada presión en la máquina. De ejercer una presión excesiva en la lijadora, el trabajo puede resultar
irregular y se puede recalentar o dañar el motor.

No lije demasiado tiempo en el mismo lugar porque obtendría un resultado desigual.

4. MANTENIMIENTO

4.1 ESCOBILLAS DE CARBÓN

Debe hacer controlar con regularidad las escobillas y el colector en un Centro de Servicio Posventa Habilitado Ryobi
(con algunos meses de intervalo). Si el contacto entre las escobillas y el colector es bueno, el motor funcionará correctamente.
Cuando las chispas del colector comiencen a ser anormalmente grandes se deberán reemplazar las escobillas de carbón.

4.2. LIMPIEZA

Desenchufe la máquina antes de cualquier operación de limpieza o de mantenimiento. La mejor forma de limpiarla es con
aire comprimido seco. Cuando limpie herramientas con aire comprimido use siempre gafas de seguridad herméticas.

Las ranuras de ventilación y los interruptores siempre deben estar limpios y despejados. No emplee objetos con punta para
limpiar las ranuras.

No utilice ninguna substancia química para limpiar la máquina.

Este producto Ryobi está garantizado contra los defectos de fabricación y las piezas defectuosas por un período de

all’esterno si consiglia di utilizzare guanti in gomma e scarpe antiscivolo. Proteggere i capelli lunghi raccogliendoli e
coprendoli, onde evitare che rimangano impigliati nelle aperture di aerazione.

• UTILIZZARE SEMPRE DEGLI OCCHIALI DI SICUREZZA MUNITI DI PROTEZIONI LATERALI. I normali occhiali non
sono dotati di lenti anticolpi: NON SONO occhiali di sicurezza.

• PROTEGGERE I POLMONI. Se l’utilizzo dell’apparecchio produce polvere, indossare una maschera facciale o una
maschera antipolvere.

• PROTEGGERE LE ORECCHIE. In caso di utilizzo prolungato dell’apparecchio, utilizzare delle protezioni auditive che
consentano di attenuare il livello di pressione sonora.

• Prima di avviare l’apparecchio FISSARE CORRETTAMENTE IL PEZZO DA LAVORARE. Se possibile utilizzare delle
ganasce o una morsa per fissare il pezzo da lavorare. Non tenere MAI il pezzo da lavorare con le mani o tra le gambe.

• CERCARE DI RIMANERE IN EQUILIBRIO. Mantenersi sempre in posizione stabile. Non utilizzare l’apparecchio mentre
ci si trova su una scala o su un supporto instabile. Controllare che l’apparecchio sia tenuto saldamente e verificare
sempre la presenza di oggetti sotto di sé quando si lavora in posizione elevata.

• EFFETTUARE UN’ACCURATA MANUTENZIONE DELL’APP ARECCHIO. Per ottenere dei buoni risultati nel massimo
grado di sicurezza, verificare che gli utensili siano sempre puliti e affilati. Lubrificare e sostituire gli accessori in base
alle istruzioni.

• STACCARE GLI UTENSILI.Staccare tutti gli utensili quando non vengono utilizzati, nonché prima della manutenzione
o durante la sostituzione di un accessorio (lame, tubi, coltelli, ecc.).

• EVITARE GLI AVVII INVOLONTARI. Prima di inserire la presa di corrente, accertarsi che l’interruttore d’avvio
dell’apparecchio sia in posizione d’”arresto” o bloccato.

• VERIFICARE LO STATO DEI PEZZI DANNEGGIATI. Prima di continuare ad utilizzare l’apparecchio, verificare se un
pezzo o un accessorio danneggiato è in grado di continuare a funzionare e a svolgere il suo compito. Verificare che le
parti mobili siano ben allineate e che non siano incastrate. Verificare che non vi siano pezzi rotti. Controllare il montaggio
ed eventuali altri fattori importanti per il corretto funzionamento dell’apparecchio. Onde evitare il rischio di ferite al corpo,
rivolgersi ad un tecnico qualificato per fare riparare o sostituire un paralama o eventuali altri pezzi danneggiati.

• NON ALLONTANARSI MAI DALL’APPARECCHIO QUANDO È IN FUNZIONE. SPEGNERLO. Non allontanarsi mai
dall’apparecchio fino a quando non si sia completamente arrestato.

• CONTROLLARE CHE IL CAVO DI ALIMENTAZIONE SIA SEMPRE IN BUONO STATO. Non tirare mai il cavo per
staccare l'apparecchio. Verificare che il cavo sia sempre lontano da qualsiasi fonte di calore, olio o oggetti taglienti.

• CONTROLLARE REGOLARMENTE IL CAVO DI ALIMENTAZIONE DELL’APPARECCHIO. Se è danneggiato, farlo
riparare da un tecnico specializzato presso un Centro di Assistenza Autorizzato Ryobi. Fare sempre attenzione alla
posizione del cavo e tenerlo sempre distante dalla lama in movimento.

• NON UTILIZZARE L’APPARECCHIO SE L’INTERRUTTORE NON NE CONSENTE L’AVVIO E L’ARRESTO.
Rivolgersi ad un Centro di Assistenza Autorizzato Ryobi per la sostituzione degli interruttori difettosi.

• ACCERTARSI CHE L’APPARECCHIO SIAASCIUTTO E PULITO (CHE NON VI SIANO TRACCE DI OLIO O GRASSO).
Pulirlo sempre con uno straccio pulito. Nelle operazioni di pulizia non utilizzare mai liquido per freni, prodotti a base di
petrolio o solventi.

• NON UTILIZZARE L’APPARECCHIO SOTTO L’EFFETTO DI ALCOOL O DI DROGHE, O NEL CASO IN CUI SI
STIANO ASSUMENDO DEI MEDICINALI.

• FARE SEMPRE ATTENZIONE E CONCENTRARSI DURANTE L’UTILIZZO DELL’APPARECCHIO. Il fatto di conoscere
bene l’apparecchio (in seguito a un utilizzo frequente) non deve mai avere come conseguenza un calo di attenzione.
NON DIMENTICARE MAI che basta un secondo di distrazione per ferirsi in modo grave.
Fare sempre attenzione alle operazioni che si effettuano e agire con buon senso. Non utilizzare l’apparecchio quando
si è stanchi. Non agire in modo affrettato.

• ACCERTARSI CHE L’AREA DI LAVORO SIASUFFICIENTEMENTE ILLUMINA T A, che si possano vedere le operazioni
che si stanno effettuando e che non vi sia nulla che possa compromettere la sicurezza, PRIMA di iniziare ad utilizzare
l’apparecchio.

• RIPORRE GLI APPARECCHI CHE NON VENGONO UTILIZZATI riporre l’apparecchio non utilizzato in un locale
asciutto, chiuso a chiave, e collocarlo su un ripiano soprelevato, lontano dalla portata dei bambini.

• NON TOCCARE MAI GLI ELEMENTI MOBILI quando l’apparecchio è in funzione. Non avviare mai l'apparecchio
quando uno degli elementi rotanti è in contatto con l'ambiente di lavoro.

• PROTEGGERSI DALLE SCOSSE ELETTRICHE EVITANDO OGNI TIPO DI CONTATTO CON LE SUPERFICI
COLLEGATE ALLATERRA. Ad esempio: i tubi, i radiatori, le cucine o i frigoriferi.

• METTERE SEMPRE L’INTERRUTTORE IN POSIZIONE "ARRESTO" prima di scollegare l’apparecchio, onde evitare
un avvio involontario quando lo si riaccende.

• CONSERVARE LE PRESENTI ISTRUZIONI. Consultarle regolarmente e utilizzarle per informare altri eventuali utenti.
Nel prestare l’apparecchio, fornire altresì il presente manuale.

2. NORME DI SICUREZZA SPECIFICHE ALLE LEVIGATRICI

• INDOSSARE SEMPRE OCCHIALI DI SICUREZZA ERMETICI ED UNA MASCHERINA ANTIPOLVERE quando si
leviga, ed in particolare quando si tiene la levigatrice al di sopra del capo.

• NON UTILIZZARE MAI LA LEVIGATRICE SU SUPERFICI UMIDE.

• IL FOGLIO DI CARTAABRASIVANON DEVE ESSERE TROPPO GRANDE. Se la carta abrasiva fuoriesce dal pattino,
ci si espone a rischi di gravi ferite.

• IL SACCHETTO RACCOGLI POLVERE DEVE ESSERE APPLICATO SULL’APPARECCHIO e svuotato
periodicamente. Per applicare il sacchetto raccogli polvere, posizionare l’anello del sacchetto sulla bocca di aspirazione
che si trova sulla parte posteriore della levigatrice. Quindi incastrare l’anello del sacchetto ruotandolo verso destra fino
a fissarlo correttamente. Per togliere il sacchetto, procedere nell’ordine inverso.

• AVVERTENZA! NON GETTARE MAI NEL FUOCO LA POLVERE PRODOTT ADALLALEVIGA TURAperché i materiali
in forma di piccole particelle possono essere esplosivi.

• A VVERTENZA! INDOSSARE UNAMASCHERINA RESPIRA TORIAADEGUATA quando si levigano superfici ricoperte
di pittura al piombo nonché alcuni tipi di legno o di metallo, al fine di non inalare polveri o vapori tossici.

3.1 CARTAABRASIVA UTILIZZATA

La levigatrice orbitale si utilizza con fogli di carta abrasiva, che possono essere facilmente tagliati in fogli standard di grande
formato (227 x 93 mm) disponibili in commercio.

Con le levigatrici elettriche, raccomandiamo di utilizzare abrasivi sintetici come l’allumina o il carburo di silicio. Per svolgere
il primo lavoro di sgrossatura, scegliere una carta abrasiva a grana grossa. Per lisciare o per effettuare una levigatura di
finitura, utilzzare la carta abrasiva a grana sottile o extra-sottile.

3.2 GRILLETTO AVVIO/ARRESTO

Per mettere in funzione l’apparecchio, premere il grilletto. Per arrestare l’apparecchio, rilasciare il grilletto. Il grilletto è
dotato di una molla che lo riporterà automaticamente in posizione “arresto”.

Lasciare al motore il tempo di raggiungere la velocità massima prima di mettere la levigatrice in contatto con il pezzo da
lavorare. Allontanare la levigatrice dal pezzo prima di arrestarla.

3.3 INSTALLAZIONE DELLACARTAABRASIVA

1. Allentare la griffa del fermo a molla, quindi inserire la carta abrasiva posizionando il lato abrasivo verso l’esterno,
come illustrato nella Figura 2.

2. Dopo aver inserito e stirato il foglio, sollevare la levetta del fermo a molla accertandosi che la griffa mantenga ben
bloccato il foglio.

3. Ricoprire tutta la lunghezza del pattino con la carta, quindi bloccare l’estremità libera del foglio sotto il fermo a molla
dall’altro lato del pattino procedendo nuovamente come indicato sopra. Per una levigatura efficace, la carta abrasiva
deve essere più tesa possibile, perché altrimenti rischia di scivolare sul pezzo da lavorare.

3.4 UTILIZZAZIONE DELLA PERFORATRICE

Se il foglio di carta abrasiva non è perforato, si può utilizzare la perforatrice fornita in dotazione con la levigatrice orbitale
per perforare i fori di aspirazione nella carta abrasiva. Posizionare con precisione la perforatrice contro il pattino e premere
sulla levigatrice finché la perforatricee perfora la carta abrasiva. Infine, togliere la perforatrice dalla levigatrice. Vedere la

3.5 LEVIGATURA

Quando si leviga, non bisogna esercitare una pressione eccessiva sull’apparecchio: la levigatura infatti potrebbe risultare
non uniforme, ed inoltre si rischierebbe di provocare un surriscaldamento che potrebbe danneggiare il motore.

Non levigare troppo a lungo sullo stesso punto: la levigatura risulterebbe non uniforme.

4. MANUTENZIONE

4.1 SPAZZOLAAL CARBONE

Le spazzole ed il collettore devono essere controllati periodicamente presso un Centro di Assistenza Autorizzato Ryobi
(a qualche mese d’intervallo). Un contatto corretto tra le spazzole ed il collettore consente infatti al motore di funzionare bene.
Le spazzole al carbone devono essere sostituite ogniqualvolta la scintilla intorno al collettore diventa anormalmente grande.

4.2. PULIZIA

Staccare il cavo di alimentazione dell’apparecchio prima di eseguire qualsiasi operazione di pulizia o di manutenzione.
Il miglior metodo di pulizia consiste nell’utilizzare aria compressa secca. Quando si pulisce un apparecchio con l’aria
comrpessa, indossare sempre occhiali di protezione ermetici.

Le fessure di ventilazione e gli interruttori devono essere mantenuti sempre puliti. Non fare uso di oggetti appuntiti per
pulire attraverso le fessure.

Non utilizzare mai sostanze chimiche per pulire l’apparecchio.

lampadine, lame, punte, borse, ecc.

In caso di malfunzionamento nel corso del periodo di garanzia, riportare il prodotto NON SMONTATO corredato della prova
